Chapter 23

Emily had cast the spell and the vampires suddenly went limp as though they were in a comatose state.

"What are your names" Austin gave a test question.

"Diego"

"Andrew"

The vampires answered in a dull monotose voice.

"Well that's good" Raphael said.

"Who sent you guys after Austin"

"It was our boss, her names Erica, she was asked by her boss to send us to execute Austin".

Raphael drew in a sharp breath as Austin shuddered in fear.

"Wait, your boss has a boss?" Emily asked.

"Yes" they both answered together.

"How did they find out about me?"

"A few days ago, an enormous amount of energy was felt by everyone. The next day, a figure approached us and demanded to meet our boss".

"After they met and discussed for a while, our boss asked us to come and execute you".

"That doesn't explain how you guys knew I was the one".

"We didn't know you were the one until we accidentally walked past you, the energy we felt from you was the same as the one we felt a few days ago".

"How do we get to your boss?"

"Our boss lives in a mansio south from here, it's at pleasant view".

"What's the address?"

"4th Avenue East side manor pleasant view".

With that, out interrogation came to an end.

"Well now that we've gotten our answers, what do we do to them?" Emily asked.

"You guys leave, I'll keep them, I need to use them as target practice".

"Emily, how long will this spell last on them?"

"Well it should last for an hour more or so".

"Alright, let's regroup upstairs".

The three friends all went upstairs, each doing their own thing.

Austin sat down on the couch in the living room.

Emily went to the kitchen and took some fruits she found in the fridge because she had lost some energy when casting the spell and needed to eat.

Raphael went and sat down close to Austin, placing a hand around his shoulder to comfort him.

"I know your scared but you have us on?"

"Yeah, we won't let anything happen to you".

"Thanks guys, I'm not that weak, I'm also not scared, I'm just shocked and well I'm not scared for myself but for the fact that these men could've harmed my parents".

"Emily, is there any spell you know that will keep harm away from my parents?"

"I do know of a spell but any warlock, Wizard, elf or magic practitioner stronger than me can break the spell and render it useless".

"It doesn't matter, just cast the spell".

"I'll have to look for a place for them to stay also, our home isn't safe anymore".

"I'll help you with that"

"Maybe you should move them outside the country?"

"To where and who are they going to stay with? Also they won't be cool with that".

"Well I can help them financially but then I don't know about convincing them to let you go".

"I have an idea, what if I hypnotized them?, Made them think they live in another country and just came on a vacation here to see you?"

"That's an amazing idea Raphael but can you really do that?"

"Yeah, it's one of a vampires special abilities but not all vampire's can do it".

"Cool, what else can you do?"

"I'll tell you later, right now let's just rest and we'll carry out the plan as soon as possible".

"And when are we going to pay the vampires boss a visit?" Emily asked

"Well, we'll do it once we're sure my parents are safe".

Austin went close to Emily and said

"Emily, I wanna start learning magic"

"Well, that's good news but it's kinda difficult but it should be different for you I mean you are a God after all".

"Yeah, just teach me the basics ok?"

"Alright, do you wanna start now".

"Well it will be honest to just have the knowledge now, I'll practice it later".

"Ok, well when casting spells and using magic, normally a mage channels his or her mana before they are able to cast a spell".

"What's mana?"

"Mana is a sort of energy that allows mages to control the elements or cast spells"

"About that, I've seen you do stuff that didn't really fit with Elements, why's that?"

"Well magic is vast, you can do a lot of things with magic, there are different branches of magic, elemental magic is one of them".

"Oh!, I didn't know that, normally the novels I read make it seem like magic is just usage of elements".

"Well real magic lets you do a lot of things".

"So how do I channel mana?".

"Simple, close your eyes so you can focus".

"Now in your minds eye, feel the energy in your body heating up, moving around you and circulating".

"Move the energy to your mind and back to your body".

"This is just an exercise, you don't have to do this all the time".

"Usually we mages have to say incantations or spells before we cast them but you being a God, you can just will what you want to happen and it will happen, you can also use spells and incantations of you want. I suggest using spells though as you aren't yet good at using your willpower to directly enforce your will into the laws of the world".

"Alright, what next"

"Well focus that energy, think of what you want to happen while willing the energy out of your body and willing it to do what you want".

"If your succeeding you should feel a ...."
