Alliance

Every world has its own way. Gods are just the first law controllers of the world. Such worlds form realms. And realms have their gods. Such realms form universes. And like everything else, universes are also subjected to their gods. And then there is the god realm. These gods are the first gods who were born with the universe. Their powers helped all universes to flourish. And as time went on, the universes became independent and Supreme Gods had no job to do. In simple words, they became useless.

And when gods are not needed, they dissipate. This fate is known to them since birth. That's why gods are emotionless. But as they dissipate, they turn into countless specks of magic aura and scatter throughout the magic verse. This magic verse is the realm that is a superset of every realm. Because magic may or may not exist but it will continue flowing through each world. It just depends on the inhabitants to understand it.

In a way, these gods stay alive in the form of magic.

Now as we move from the vast universe to each realm, travel through misty and foggy god realms to dark and scary monster realms, we can find many subtle changes. It's the difference between hope and faith. The god realms have many intermediate realms, lower, higher, and upper realms. Each of the realms has a vast difference in its powers and sizes.

With faith and hope, realms become bigger and higher. But wars lose the advantage and then, realms become barren. We can see many barren realms which are broken beyond repair but still waiting for someone to nourish them. Someone who can make them alive. Inherently the realm's fate has been tied to its inhabitants. But will those inhabitants care about their world and realm? No one knows. The supreme gods left hoping for a self-sufficient magic verse but is it like that?

Archa, a world in the lower dimension of the middle-level realm, is one of the magic-driven worlds. Here the positive and negative energy made a pact and the overseer was the neutral energy. Basically, these energies were part of the ancient power of gods. The powers of the supreme gods became fine and now they have their own bodies. But these powers became rampant because no one kept them in check.

The leading example of such practice is what the world Archa is facing today. The negative energy broke the balance and now, it is rampaging all over the place. When any one side is in the lead, the world cannot go on. There is no meaning to destruction without creation because they both are a cycle. Only one part of a cycle will be incomplete. The supreme power is the one that controls balance.

The negative energy overflowed and started controlling the neutral energy. As its power grew, the influence of positive energy weakened. Now the world of Archa faced this exact situation. It did not know whether what it saw was the truth or not but it didn't want the negative energy to go to a dead end. It felt attached to it so it had to stop this series of events as fast as it can.

The demons have multiplied in geometric progression. Demons were exactly the mindless lackeys of the negative energy. The positive energy also needed heroes in these difficult times. Seeing that the people from its world were not very much interested, it sought the otherworldly helpers. It was not tied to this world so it could see what was happening in other worlds vaguely.

It could not understand all kinds of complex auras. But it inadvertently became attracted to a golden aura. The world of orcs had mostly blue auras but the only golden one was very special.

So it did what it could. Just dragged the person in here. But it didn't know that this chosen person had the ability to leave at any moment. But the person chose not to. He chose to help. Its gamble was right.

The balance of energies was nothing but a collection of energies that had the same number everywhere. A person who had both of them in equal amounts was neutral. But if positive is more, the person became a warrior. But there were people with a negative aura too. Such people were ostracised by some brainless maniacs. Such people then served the negative energy lord and then completely became negative. Even if this was the trigger, it was brewing for a large time.

So the premise for the war was set. Only the pieces that were left had to arrive. But an unknown variable is the biggest target and threat in any war. The unknown variable had also arrived.

The chess piece sent forward by the dark energy team was the king of the east kingdom. The same kingdom where many changes will take place. The king had a twin brother. Both of them specialised in light and dark energies, which were positive and negative energies respectively.

Because they were with opposite energies, each of them chose their side. Sometimes choosing is the hardest thing you could do. But this choice was a precursor to a bloody storm. The dark worshipping twin brother killed his twin. He then took his place and acted as a hidden spy waiting for his master to call him back. He lay there dormant for many years but never forgot his sole purpose.

The brother dies in vain. He never knew that his brother resented him so much that he wanted his life. As the impostor king discovered that the light side was gaining information, he cut the problem at its roots.

"We were discovered. I don't know when the king was replaced. Even the family members did not discover this. He had hidden too deeply. I believed and trusted him too much."

Dhir sat up and slowly spoke.

Dhvani understood that only trusted people can stab perfectly. Otherwise wouldn't you be on alert? That way, no one can try to hurt you and in Dhir's case, kill you. She still sympathized with him. By the look in his eyes when he introduced the king to Ajay, she understood that Dhir practically worshipped the king as his hero.

It is practically even more hurtful if your childhood hero breaks your trust.

That's why she never tried to meet her idols. Who knows if their persona was real? It's happier to watch them from afar.

"Then how did you get injured like this?"

Dhir sighed.

"I was patrolling and then I was ambushed. I managed to fight but more guards came and I was at a disadvantage. I managed to run and then I met the king. He took me to the prison making me think we were going to get medical aid. He then used a knife and injured me."

A pretty much sad story. He managed to say without any change in his expression. Poor guy. A knife in the back. But in reality, he got a knife on his chest. So he was unlucky. Dhvani tried to imagine how he felt when he saw the king inserting the knife deep into his chest. It should have hurt, both physically and mentally.

He should have pretty much doubted his will to defend his kingdom. But he had a firm heart because he waited for aid. He didn't lose hope and now he was cured, thanks to Sari's medical system.

"That is sad and bad. You should be pretty mad. What are your plans then?"

Ajay, the insensitive guy asked the question he had wanted to ask.

Dhvani shook her head. Well, there was no other option. There was no point in brooding when they had very large plans to make.

"I have to search for the alliance. There is a group that is responsible for keeping an eye on the kings. Only they can remove his position. Because as long as he stays as the king, he will know all the secret plans. So we have to find the headquarters of the alliance of keepers."

"Where will we find them?"

"I know only some vague words. The alliance will appear when dau and night coexist at the place where the sky meets earth."

"It is simple enough. The place will appear when the illusions will be lifted off." Ajay added.

Dhvani also thought the same. Day and night coexist. Evening time. At a place where the star of this world will not set. And it should be at the edge of two time zones where there is a lake.

She quickly searched the place and got the data. She sent it to Ajay.

[Tal lake]

He scanned it without fearing Dhir. No one else could see the system screen so he read the data unscrupulously. His reading look was perceived as a thinking quirk by Dhir.

Ajay had to get the answer from Dhir. Because he was new here, he shouldn't know much about the landmarks here. So it would be better for them to make Dhir think that he thought of the place by himself. They had to guide him towards the particular thought.

"There must be a time change and the place should not have a setting sun. Additionally, there must be a lake there."

Dhir thought for a long time.

"Three places confirm these conditions. They are in the northern, southern, and southeast kingdoms."

"What about the lake? How big is it?" Ajay asked.

"The northern kingdom has the biggest lake. It is also the farthest from us. We should check them all. If we check the other two before going to the northern kingdom, it will take almost ten days."

"How will we travel?"

"Easy. We use Wind horse. It can fly us without any dangers."

Dhvani heard about the wind horse for the first time. She didn't have much information about them because this place had no internet. She didn't want to waste her system energy on recording and analyzing all places. She would just check if absolutely necessary.

The wind horse was just like a horse. But it had wings. So essentially a flying horse. This world named it Wind horse. There was a carriage tied to it. The carriage was made of very light material that it almost had no weight. Good engineering!

Finally, both Dhir and Ajay got on the carriage and set off. Dhvani just kept looking at the horse. She watched the takeoff. Just like the airplane, it ran and then lifted in the sky. After the stabilization, they were moving t a constant speed which seemed just like air travel. But without any documents. Maybe this era didn't develop that quite yet. That was good for them anyway.

The kingdoms were very large. Only to reach the edge of the eastern kingdom, took nearly two days. Both Ajay and Dhir ate the system-provided meals. Meanwhile, Dhir rested to heal and Ajay was left to his thoughts. He didn't chat much with Dhvani. She wanted to talk but she was just a system. She didn't want to seem out of place and reveal herself. So she kept quiet and kept looking at the scenery. the clouds were so near that she could touch them.

But she couldn't so she pouted. There was no one to coax her sp she coaxed herself with snacks.

Their journey was quite uneventful but as always, they were quickly overthrown by fate.

The wind horse neighed loudly when the were surrounded. It was easy to understand the reason. Because they hid in the system produced items, their pursuers had no luck. But this wind horse had no protection. They were found easily. And according to logic, anyone would check the perimeters if there were any absconding criminals, right?

So Dhir was jerked awake. Ajay used his space magic to stumble many of the people pursuing them. His tricks could deter them for a while but they regrouped quickly. They attacked in formations. Like an arrow, even if they were thrown off track, many kept coming.

Dhvani didn't have any good props for this. She kept frantically searching but she was running out of time. Dhir was fighting two of the guards with swords. His nearly healed wound burst open and it started bleeding again.

A huge net was thrown and it quickly covered them. They couldn't escape. And a smoke bomb kind of thing was thrown. Before anyone could react, they fainted.
