Chapter 3

After the explosion, the biker emerge from his spot. He had sight her away from her bike before the grenade went out. Now he has to confirm if she was really gone

Meanwhile, Aiden, from a not so close distance, saw the flames in the sky and redirect his search. He had lost track due to being chased by another set of bikers

Racing to the point, he saw the biker making an exit and chased after him. It didn't take long for him to catch him and drag him back to the spot

"Where is she"

"Gone" the biker said with confidence pointing down the hill. No more no less, that earned him a shot to the head. His body drop down lifeless

Aiden get to the edge looking down the hill. He couldn't find any trace of her but she was alive, he knows

As tempting as it is to jump down to find her, he was not willing to waste such golden opportunity. He has been looking for a way to stay away

He took a step back and another and another and another, untill the bottom of the hill was out of sight and he made his way to his bike.

Suddenly, he paused against his will, feeling fussy in head. He felt this hard banging in his head, a restrained part of him trying to force itself out. But he pressed on, barely keeping it under control.

The pain just made him more determined, he wasn't going to give up now. Already half crawling to his bike till he gets to it

He drove away from there, far far far away from the scene.

Collins POV

It was 3 in the morning but I have been awake since two; worked out, lit a bon fire, roasting meat for breakfast all while enjoying morning coffee. That was my daily routine

Beside me was Big grey, the wolf I have been friends with for over 7 months. Scout came out from the corner. He was another wolf in this woods. Big grey was not a fan and he reciprocate it given the immediate stance he took when Big grey got on the defensive side

But that's not the reason he was here and it doesn't look like he was here for the food either. Scout stared at me for a moment, nudging towards the direction he came from before going to the dark and came out. This time he was pacing around, seems like he needs help

Big grey was the first to react, going forward carefully and sniffing him. Scout let him do his thing and didn't move instead he look at me with the same urgency, Guess it was me he need.

I grabbed my flashlight and followed Scout who rushed forward and lead the way. he came to stop at a point and digged

There was something there buried in the soil which he stood protective over. I look closely and realized it was not a thing but a person. I rushed and checked. She was breathing but super cold due to being left on the ground for long

Her hood had holes in it "you dragged her" I asked and Scout responded by nudging her gently to me guess that means he was bringing her to me

I picked her up and headed back home, took her straight to bed and start examining her. There was dry blood on her face so I put my hand in her head to find the cause. I didn't find the cut, her hair was sticking together due to the dried blood.

She must have been out there for a while given how cold she was and her arms and legs had insect bites all over. I was about to check further in case of any major injury but Scout placed his paw on my hands and with a low growl he warned to stop.

I got off the side of the bed a little bit shocked and Scout use the opportunity to drag the blanket over her head and lay close to the bed

"I need to check her so she doesn't get sick" I said to him. He growl dismissively, he doesn't care

Scout was not a regular wild wolf. He had a collar with his name on it and surprisingly understands when spoken to. I thought he was lost but I guess not. The girl is probably his owner and she is definitely lost
