Chapter 4

Author POV

She opened her eyes and found herself in a wooden room laying on the bed completely drenched in sweat. She tried to stand but was held back by the pain she felt on her head. She tried again but moved slowly this time. She sat on the bed with her eyes dancing around the room.

The room was just a simple room with two doors, a window, a pair of table and chair and a computer on the table, shelf filled with books and a wardrobe with a little mirror attached to it

She placed her legs on the floor like it was some kind of gold then walked her way to one of the door she guessed will be the front door given it's position. She walked into the room looking around

The room she looks more like a living room. Straight in front of her was a door. To her right was the main section for receiving guest which was outlined with a dark grey rug, a recliner chair and two seater sofa facing each other and a coffee table between them and a fireplace. And to her left, the kitchen.

She continued her steps to the door when a door opened and a young man entered. Her eyes sized him up

"You finally woke up" the boy said as he walked towards the kitchen. He took two cups and poured water in it. He gulped down the first cup and took the second cup and walked to her offering her the cup of water

"Have a seat" he said then walked towards the sofa and sat. She sat opposite him.

"I saw you in forest laying unconscious and I brought you back" she nodded and he continued contented that she could understand him "so just answer my questions so I can know you" she nodded again "what's your name?" he paused, this time she shook her head

"where are you from?" "how did you get into the forest?" "what about your family?" after every question was a paused but every single time she just shook her head "or can't you talk"

"I...I don't remember" she murmured under her breathe

"What?" Her voice was so low that he didn't hear anything. She looked up into his eyes

"I said I don't remember anything"

After asking series of questions which she had no answer to, it was clear she really had no memory. She doesn't even remember her own name or recognize Scout and that hurt Scout a little given his expression. Collins wondered if he would understand 'losing memory'

Looking at her "Snow, I'll call you Snow" he told her. That caught her off guard, she thought he would tell her to leave but instead "Thank you" she said

"Collins by the way, it's just for the main time, please get well soon" he stood up " you should take your bath" he said heading to the room, she followed

He passed her a shirt and short then pointed out the bathroom for her. He cleaned up the bed she has been lying on before heading to make her something to eat

After bathing, she came out wearing the clothes given to her. Her old one was on the floor. Scout laid close to the bathroom door

When Collins had told her the wolf found her and has been watching over her, she thought it was an exaggeration but seeing it herself, her lips twitched

'What if she had come out naked' she shuddered at the thought but soon get over it. Though she appreciates the gesture, it give her creeps

She could not find a comb or brush laying around and did not want to pry in Collins privacy. She began to brush her hair with her fingers, eyes fixed on Scout

She got up and unhooked Scout's collar. Just as she thought, there was 2 phone numbers, an address with the word "Aiden's" written on the other side.

Whatever instinct that pushed her to do that know that was her ticket home. But instead, she hooked the collar back on him and went back to her previous position; that was when Collins knocked

He was worried she was not out yet and the food was getting cold. he later brought the food to the room for her and gave her a brush for her hair
