15 Gods Among Us (Part 2)

Until a mortal appeared, killing gods and titans in his path for revenge.

[Gods' Point of View]

As the years went by, Zeus realized that the war would not easily come to an end. The titans had strong bodies and powers that matched those of the gods, and Zeus and his siblings were being pushed against the wall.

Although the gods could be revived after some time thanks to the power of human faith, they knew that it would not be enough for long. Zeus, his brothers and sisters, as well as their children, were gathered around a large table, holding a war council. They had just devised a strategy that would put an end to this war. Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon would journey to Tartarus in the underworld, in search of new weapons crafted by the Cyclopes and Hecatoncheires. Meanwhile, the other gods would prepare and organize the troops, so that as soon as the three brothers returned, the gods would launch an attack and defeat the titans.

As the council was about to conclude, Apollo, who was in charge of the war logistics and had just returned from a mission, entered to inform them that the titans seemed to have discovered that the gods could be revived through humans. In response, they had begun massacring humans to exterminate them. Upon hearing this, Zeus ordered Apollo and other minor gods to rescue the remaining surviving humans and put them in stasis to hide them, while the other gods continued with the plan as usual.

[Titans' Point of View]

Cronos and the rest of the titans were making their final plans to end the war. The titans could have already won, but in the last moments, some gods who had fallen on the battlefield returned to life and together managed to cover the retreat of the gods' army. After a considerable amount of time, the titans discovered that the gods could return to life through humans. Thus, Cronos decided to send Oceanus and Hyperion to exterminate the human race, so that once everything was finished, they could deliver the final blow to the gods, killing them forever.

Following his brother's orders, Oceanus and Hyperion separated to cover the majority of the Earth. Oceanus moved through the sea, causing tsunamis and earthquakes, leaving no chance for humans to survive. Hyperion, on the other hand, took to the skies, burning and destroying everything in his path. Thus, both titans continued their unstoppable paths, with humanity at their mercy, until...

Hyperion arrived in South America and spotted a small city unlike any human settlement he had destroyed before. But to Hyperion, humans would always be insects in the end, no matter how much they evolved. So, he hovered a few feet above the city, raised his right hand, and gathered energy, forming a small fireball with enough power to match an atomic bomb. Then, he released the fireball, letting it fall to the ground as he looked down, waiting to see those ants turn to ashes in the wind.
