Li Tian was assigned to city E after his graduation. Due to his talent he was offered the opportunity to join a specialised unit but despite the fact that this will mean more money and greater clearance level he refused without giving it a second thought. This took his superiors by surprise as most will jump at this opportunity if presented.

'i hope he isn't going to be trouble for me' thought Li Tian as he walked into the office.

When he passed the threshold of the door he immediately stood gave military salute towards the captain. This pulled his attention over

"Who are you?" He asked

"Captain, I am sergeant Li Tian, reporting for duty"

" dispense with all the formalities...you arrived quite quickly, I wasn't expecting you till yesterday. I have already prepared a task for you. Everyone under my command is a city guard and you will be in-charge of the west wall. I heard you turned down a special operations job. Why?"

He asked as his gaze focused on Li Tian as though wanting to see through all the secrets he held.

Seeing the hesitation to answer on Li Tian's face he did not insist and continued

"It doesn't matter what your reasons are as long as you do your job properly. You should know that our city stands at a strategic location and we often come under attack from demonic beasts and sometimes we face beasts tide. Your only duty will be to oversee the defence of the west wall and make sure that under no circumstance is a beast allowed to breach our defences, understood?"

"Yes, sir" came Li Tian's reply.

"All the personnel in-charge of the west wall defence are now placed under your command, you may assemble them and get to know them whenever you see fit. I don't care what you do as long as.."

" The city is not breached" Li Tian completed the statement

"Good, you understand. You may take your leave"

Li Tian turned around and left. You could see a smile hanging at the conner of his mouth. This is exactly what he was looking for.

The first thing he did after leaving the captain's office was go to his house which he had already made the necessary arrangements for. He spent a lot of money to purchase this house, it was a huge villa with its own cultivation rooms and Qi gathering array. It was a house that spoke of status and normally even a captain like ironblood would be unable to purchase such a house but Li Tian had much wealth to burn so it didn't actually cause even a dent in his financial power.

He went for dinner and before going to bed he sent an email informing all his subordinates of the assembly he was going to have in the morning.

It was already noon the next day when he finished his assembly and checking the inventory and surveying the wall to see if there are any changes to be made.

Right now he was sitting in his office looking at a list Infront of him. He was searching for an assistant. He needed someone who will be running around for him and carrying out errands on his behalf. He decided to select from the squad and after much deliberation he chose a girl called shi ruo. The girl had extraordinary looks and a good cultivation talent. She just started this year too and was at the eighth-level of Houtian. She had blue hair that flowed like a waterfall and her bloodline had to do with water, Though now it was not very obvious. Once he settled on this girl he did not hesitate and asked gave her a summoning order. Within the hour she presented herself and looking at her up close just made one stare in awe at her beauty. Li Tian dare say he had seen only one woman more beautiful than her and it was mu bingyun.

"The reason I called you here today is because I am in need of an assistant" Li Tian spoke

"Yes, sergeant" the girl answered enthusiastically before Li Tian even had the opportunity to finish his statement.

Li Tian was stunned but soon realised that the girl had not understood the full magnitude of what he was asking her.

"Listen well before you make a decision. I mean you will be my personal assistant. You will follow me from today to wherever I go. I will pay you well and also take care of your cultivation needs. Do you understand what I am saying?" Asked Li Tian.

The girl now had a complete understanding of what Li Tian was saying. This guy was just beating around the bush to ask her to be his personal servant. But after thinking of her own situation and the conditions given by Li Tian she agreed. She was the only child of two parents who barely got by and even her salary was barely making a change but adding the money she is going to be paid her conditions might just improve. Adding to the fact that she wouldn't be spending money on cultivation resources any longer.

Seeing the thoughtful expressions on her face Li Tian knew she had understood him and didn't rush her to make a decision. After sometime Shi Ruo's eyes focused on Li Tian as she nodded.

When Li Tian saw her nod joy appeared on his face and just when he was about to start speaking again he heard the sound of the system
