SUPERHERO GETS A GRANDPA SYSTEM

It's not so easy to make it as a superhero these days. In the golden age of heroes, it didn't matter what kind of ability you had. If you had an ability, dressed up in bright colors, and came up with a crazy name; you had it made. You were a hero. The world isn't so simple anymore. Kyle Kane is finding life as a teenage superhero to be worse than a pimple on prom night. Eliminated from his team and forced into normal classes, Kyle's F class powers have doomed him to harassment and mediocrity. Then one day, he gets a cranky message from a system. "I'm your system, congratulations, blah blah blah." Is this Kyle's chance or just another new way to be humiliated?

The Battle Against Rajinn

"Shadow Bow, suppress.

Gilbrew, trap.

Bragg, block.

Riley, you're with me," Kyle handed out orders to everyone. They were going against an interdimensional being none of them knew anything about.

Over many weeks, they fought together; they had grown very good at working together. They didn't need too many words to get things done.

"You think any of you insects can stand before my power? Ha-Ha, ignorant!" Rajinn roared like an enraged demon.

Kyle' got in close by hiding behind Bragg's shields and slipping through unnoticed. Rile followed on the other side.

Gilbrew drew out a spirit from a bottle. This was an intangible; it could attack the soul of a person. Physical attacks wouldn't work on the spirit. These were really horrible existences.

The spirit flew toward Rajinn and Gilbrew used a spirit cannon to attack. Kyle was already in position as he attacked with his Monkey King Fist attack. None of his teammates had seen him in his costume before.

They knew it was him because the system told them. They didn't know why he was wearing the strange disguise and armor, but in the current battle; did they have the freedom to care?

Kyle went in for a sliding kick and used his sword to adjust his angle, trajectory, and speed. He connected with one of Rajinn's feet but he wasn't able to knock him over, so he punched him in the knee.

The punch hurt and this surprised Rajinn. He didn't understand why such weak creatures could hurt him. Then he realized he had just awakened after who knows how long.

There was also that strange attack that ripped him in half. This red armored person was responsible for that attack. He seemed to be the leader.

Riley sliced at Rajinn's face. Rajinn barely dodged the blade as the spirit attacked his soul. He screamed in pain and shock. A powerful energy beam made contact with his body.

He was blown back and away from Kyle and Riley. Rajinn's flying body was pursued by numerous arrows from Shadow Bow.

Rajinn saw the arrows and blocked them, but hen he was struck by something. It felt like he was struck by arrows, but he couldn't feel any.

These were shadow arrows so of course, he couldn't see them. Rajinn was completely beside himself. When was the last time he was suppressed by mortals?

Kantor and the other Spirit Men joined Gilbrew to attack Rajinn. They created a complex spirit spell. Heavy knights assisted Bragg and used raw physical power to pummel the madman.

Archers, sword-wielding soldiers, and many others joined together to kill Rajinn the Devourer of Worlds.

"Where is my Jinn?!" Rajinn yelled. The Baron appeared nearby from who knows where. He still didn't have his medallion, but his master needed his help.

"Master, I can't keep this up, the medallion was stolen!" The Baron told Rajinn.

"Incompetent fool! Enough!" Rajinn roared.

A sphere of energy spread out from him. Only Rajinn was in the middle of the domain he created. At least, that's what he thought.

To his surprise, he noticed that his domain was trapped within a small barrier and within the barrier was Kyle!

With his swiftest speed, Kyle unleashed a flurry of fist attacks and even executed his area attack Monkey King Rocks!

The body of Rajinn turned immaterial for a moment. It was as if the more he attacked the less real Rajinn's body became! Realizing this evil creature was weakening Kyle's attacks came faster.

There was little Rajinn could do, he had just attained his freedom and was weak. He invested a lot of power in a new Jinn, but it turned out to be useless since it lost the medallion.

The medallion was a core component to both Rajinn and his Jinn. Normally, the medallion wouldn't be as important, but Rajinn needed it like a crutch.

It was also important for the Baron since the power supply for his powers came from the medallion. Neither Rajinn nor the Baron had any idea of where the medallion had gone.

At that time far away from the dungeon, the barrier, and the fight, Shadow Sis was hiding in some trees watching the fight. In her hands was the medallion Rajinn desperately needed.

She was watching the fight between Sif and the Baron and took an opportunity to relieve Sif of the burden of the medallion. She could tell it was important.

Even though she was very far away she could still hear Rajinn screaming about his medallion. She knew the best thing for her to do was stay away from the battle.

When Kyle started the group battle she let them know where she was and what was going on. Kyle agreed with her assessment and told her to stay away. Her brother was glad she was out of danger.

Back at the battle between Kyle and Rajinn, it was still Kyle in control of the fight. The bad guy was getting weaker and weaker. According to his HUD, Rajinn only had about 20% of his life left.

Shadow Bow shot Rajinn with a shadow arrow. The Shadow arrow had no problem getting through the barrier.

"A Shadow!" Rajinn said as he looked towards Shadow Bow. There was excitement in his eyes for the first time during the battle. There was still hope for him.

Rajinn stretched out his mind to Shadow Bow and made a connection.

"You are my Shadow, my eternal warrior. Remember who you serve!" Rajinn commanded.

It was at that moment Shadow Bow stopped fighting. At first, he was confused, but slowly his eyes cleared and he remembered.

He remembered who he served and it was Rajinn! He and his people, the Shadows, were brought to this world as warriors for Rajinn.

Sure, there were the Demon Fighters, but those were little more than mindless thugs. The Shadows represented true warriors and assassins. They were Rajinn's secret power.

"Sis, come to me," Shadow Bow said to his sister through the Group chat. He then left the group. Kyle was informed that Shadow Bow had left the group but didn't know what it meant.

Shadow Bow turned his bow toward Gilbreth and the Spirit Men and shot an explosive shadow arrow. They were no longer able to see their target and couldn't attack.

He then shot a real arrow at Riley which pierced his vitals and killed him. He launched another shadow arrow at Kyle who was struck by it and lost his focus. It stunned him more than hurt.

Something was strange, he turned to look at his team and noticed Riley had an arrow sticking out of him. He looked dead, the Spirit Men were enshrouded by a shadow.

Their power required them to see their target. They were useless now. Shadow looked at Kyle with deep hatred and pulled back on his bow.

Another shadow arrow shot at him and hit him in the arm. Rajinn took this opportunity to attack Kyle and break out of the formation. Rajinn understood formations even better than Kyle.

It was easy for him to disrupt a last-minute formation like the one Kyle created. He ran to Shadow Bow who helped his master slip away.

Kyle got up and couldn't find Shadow Bow or Rajinn. The Baron was currently pinned down. His great strength finally drained from him.

Kyle looked at Riley who he knew was dead. He was sad, he felt like he made an enemy into a true friend. Unfortunately, he didn't have time to mourn his friend.

The Shadow field around the Spirit Men finally disappeared. Bragg came over to Kyle.

"What happened?" Bragg asked. He never saw the attacks made by Shadow Bow. He just noticed Riley lying on the ground after Rajinn escaped.

"Shadow Bow betrayed us, I don't know if he's having his mind-controlled or what, but he saved Rajinn."

"If Rajinn gets away and gathers strength; we are all doomed. This Rajinn was at his weakest. There's no way we can fight against a Rajinn at the height of his powers," Kantor said as he walked over to Kyle and Bragg.

"There's still a chance," Kyle said.
