Fight

What was the avatar form? Jason had asked this question multiple times to the blue 2 team.

Each time they would answer mysterious, Charlie would simply laugh and not answer him, Ethan and mark chuckled when he asked. Jason didn't even try and ask Ardem and Colby and when Jason had asked Lyle. Well Lyle had opened his mouth about to say something but Charlie came out of nowhere and clapped his mouth shut.

"you'll learn later"

Charlie said to Jason as he dragged Lyle off somewhere while Lyle desperately resisted.

Jason gave a small wave to the pleading Lyle and then went into thought about the secret 7th form.

Back at the fight against the bandit leader, with the rose energy coursing through his body. Jason felt that the avatar form made more sense. It wasn't a sword form and it wasn't just a sudden power up in strength. It represented something more than that.

Jason just didn't know what, but he knew that the rose-red energy flying around him in a mini vortex. Was something different, he remembered the first time he tried the avatar state. Yeah, that wasn't good.

But Jason put the ramblings of his thoughts about the 7th form and looked at the bandit leader in front of him.

The bandit leader held two daggers in his hands and much like Jason's rose-red energy that was swirling around him. A black and purple energy was swirling around the bandit leader.

The bandit's eyes gave off a black glow even through the mask and Jason felt a strange shudder go down his spine.

The bandit leader uttered one word "die" and launched himself against Jason both of his daggers stretched out to pierce Jason's heart. A cone of black and purple energy coated the bandit leader's daggers as he lunched closer and closer to Jason.

Jason dug his left foot into the ground and pushed off strafing to the side. Once he strafed he swung down with his sword where he assumed the bandit leader's trajectory would lead him.

Jason struck down the rose energy flying down in an arc with the sword, expecting to cut through the bandit, but the sensation of hitting something hard and the clang of metals clashing made him realize otherwise.

Jason saw the bandit leader, look at Jason, even though Jason couldn't see the bandit leader's features, he could feel the intense and blood-thirsty glare. The bandit leader caught Jason's swing with his daggers and as they both trembled trying to best each other in strength.

The bandit leader leaned his head closer to Jason and whispered soflty to Jason

"even if you run away, we will hunt you to the ends of the earth"

Jason relaxed his grip on his sword slightly letting the angle of his sword fall slightly making the bandits daggers slid off a bit. Jason took advantage of the small gap and swung his elbow that was outstretched already in the confrontation.

The blow connected and the bandit leader fell back a bit reeling from the blow.

Jason chased after the bandit leader the rose-red energy swirling around him furiously. The color of his energy seemed to glow like a torch in the darkness. Usually, it would have attracted attention, but a certain blond-haired person was taking care of them for now.

Jason didn't give the bandit leader any time to rest and charged straight towards him with renewed energy. The bandit leader jumped back while throwing knives.

Jason ran and stretched out his sword, his eyes focused on the daggers flying towards him. A rush of energy seemed to focus and rejuvenate his eyes and Jason felt like he sort of watched the daggers fly towards him in slow motion.

So he did what he could. He bent his knees a bit dropping his entire body to the right angle and swung out with his sword. The first swing collided with the first two daggers. They clashed against the sword and flew up into the air spinning harmlessly.

The last and final dagger collided with one of the spinning daggers and embedded itself harmlessly onto the flood.

Boops approved of the little trick Jason pulled off and gave him imaginary browney points while Jason set off again towards the bandit leader.

The bandit leader suddenly stopped at a point and turned around suddenly. Jason wasn't sure why but continued to charge.

The bandit leader threw a few more daggers at Jason, which he blocked and deflected with his sword.

The bandit leader jumped in right when Jason was blocking a flying dagger and made two different motions with his daggers. One was sent at his sword which was reeling from his blow and the other one was sent to pierce Jason's stomach.

Jason's sword clashed against the dagger, and though he overpowered it shortly after the bandit had too much time and with a sneer drove the dagger into Jason's stomach.

Jason felt the stab of pain and he gave a small gasp as he felt the cold steel drive into it.

[you have suffered a direct hit]

[-500 hp]

If Jason could alter the pain settings he would have. But when his system status and the in-game status bound he could change it. Boops said something about how his soul was the one being powered, so he couldn't change the pain level. It felt like somebody was pouring boiling oil into his stomach just at one specific point.

The rose-red energy flew to Jason's injury and clumped around it. Jason wasn't sure what it did, but it definitely helped with the pain and Boops reported that his hp was steadily increasing.

Jason swiped his sword at the bandit leader who was cackling to himself thinking he had won. The swing connected leaving a long slash on the bandit's chest. It wasn't deep though but it was an injury.

The bandit leader looked at the blood on his chest and Jason who was now standing in front of him with a grin plastered on his face.

"what?! how?"

He shouted out as Jason lunged towards him. The bandit lifted up his daggers reflexively. But the pain that Jason had felt had fumed a new rage in Jason.

The rose-red energy seemed to react to it, instead of the flowing energy it was before it looked sharp cold, and deadly.

The energy coated around Jason's sword and his arm as he struck down.

The auras of the two energies the black and purple sickened by the fear and confusion the bandit leader was feeling, against the rage and fire of the rose-red energy. Collided and the black and purple one was pushed away.

In a sudden whoosh. The black and purple energy disappeared from the bandit leader's daggers and body.

He gave a gasp of surprise and he realized what had happened.

His arms they were withered and almost completely aged. He didn't even want to imagine what his body looked like.

"I don't have any lifeforce left"

the bandit leader realized.

He looked up and saw Jason cleaving his sword down towards the bandit leader. His eyes gave off a terrible red glow, his arms and sword seemed to burn with the brightest fire. Jason's black hair seemed to flow and fly in the blasting presence of the rose-red energy.

And briefly, from behind Jason, the bandit leader could see the image of a soaring firey bird spreading out its winds almost like a guardian.

Jason was merciless and swung down, the taste of the pain in his head. His eyes looked fierce and deadly as he glared down at the bandit leader.

The bandit leader laid on the floor with the death blow slowly taking his life. Jason looked at the bandit leader with merciless eyes. But then he heard something shout from what felt like the corner of his head.

Boops's screams got louder and louder and Jason started to focus on him

Boops let out a loud yell

'holy crappp that was awsomeeeee'

Jason's eyes closed and then reopened. He looked at his land which had the rose-red energy still on it. As he looked at the blood-stained hand, he could feel his intense heartbeat.

Jason started to calm down, first taking some deep breaths. His heart rate slowed down and so did his anger with it.

Finally, Jason blinked his eyes again and looked around. At the fallen bandit leader on the floor beneath him. The rose-red energy that was swirling and surrounding him. The night sky the smell of dirt and sweat and some trees and for some reason, the absolute silence in the air.

Jason grinned to himself

"did I just beat that guy?"

Jason couldn't see Boops at that moment but he could tell that he was nodding his head as best as a floating orb could.

Jason patted himself down and nodded to himself.

"danggg I actually did that"

A sudden thought crossed Jason's mind and he quickly jumped to the dying bandit leader. He stabbed his sword into the dirt next to his head and whispered to him menacingly

"so, since I already know everything, how about you tell me it, one more time, just to make sure, ya know gotta cross check"
