15. Beginning of the troubles

A few hours ago.

At Wheeler's household, Mike and his friends were playing games in the basement. "Boys!! Don't you want to go home already?" Karen walked into the basement and asked with anger.

"Come on Mom, we were playing just for 3 hours" Mike said. But Karen wasn't moved by his words "No way!! I just got Lucas's mom's call, so all better pack up your things and go to your houses soon" she said as she walked out of the basement.

"Man, got to go or my mom will eat my brain out" Lucas said as he got up and picked up his bag. "Yeah, I should get going too" Will suddenly said and walked behind Lucas.

"Come on Dustin at least you..." Mike wanted to convince Dustin who had already picked up his bag while giving him a smile. "Man, it's not fair. Why does Robert get to stay out all night while we have to be at our houses?" Mike complained.

Dustin and others also thought about this question "If Will is half as mature as Robert is, you can stay out. But I think it will take a really... long time for you all to reach there" Karen appeared behind them and said with a smirk.

In her sentence, all boys could only sigh in defeat 'Being an adult is difficult' All had the same thought in their heads. They tried to act like an adult but their act didn't even last for a day.

By the time of noon, they returned to their childish behaviour. They learn that being an adult is hard like doing all of your own work, don't be a pain in the ass to your mothers, don't fight for useless things, doing all your work on time, and many other things.

Just hearing these things they lost half of their determination, and soon in half a day they lost interest in being an adult. "Okay bye Mike" Lucas said while getting on his bike.

"Bye Mike"

"Goodbye Mike, let's play tomorrow okay guys?"

Dustin and Will said goodbye while Will asked everyone and all nodded. Soon all three boys got on the road.

"Bye guys," Lucas said as his house was nearest to Mike's house while Will's house was the farthest. "So Will why don't we race to my house, the winner gets anything from the loser?" Dustin suddenly said with a smile.

"Anything?" Will asked again to which Dustin said "Yes anything" Suddenly Will began to pedal his cycle faster, reaching ahead of Dustin who was stunned "You bastard!!" He roared and chased Will.

But Dustin couldn't catch Will who was in front "So *haa*... I want your *haa* latest game for a day?" Will said while taking a deep breath. "You can have *haa* it asshole" Dustin didn't break the deal but cursed Will.

Dustin went to his home while Will continued riding his cycle. Soon he was cycling he came across the Hawkins National Laboratory, Will was getting a different feeling as his eyes roamed around the steel fences of the area.

Suddenly the blub attached to the front of his cycle began to flicker "Come on... not now..." Will said softly as the atmosphere there was getting glimmer.

"Aaahh!!!" A big black shadow suddenly blocked his path making him turn right as he fell off his cycle. Turning back and seeing the monster's face made him petrified, he didn't even pick up his cycle and ran into the forest.

*Haa* *haaa* *haaa*

Will didn't stop until he reached his home, he quickly locked the door and looked out through the window. Not seeing the shadow for a while he thought that monster left but the reality gave him a big blow.

Soon a tall black shadow walked slowly towards his house. Will's eyes widened in shock, and he quickly went to the telephone "MOM!! Momm where are you??!!! MOM!!!" but his call didn't even connect to his mother only some sounds were heard "Zzzz... zzzz... zzzz...".

*CLANG*

Suddenly the noise of metal hitting each other was heard, Will turned to see that all the locks on the door were opening one after another. he didn't hesitate and ran to a warehouse in his backyard.

With trembling hands, he took out an old shotgun while filling bullets inside it. He aimed it at the door while taking a deep breath to calm his mind. But the door didn't open even after a few minutes of waiting.

"Huuff... maybe it left..." Will said with uncertainty, but he was proven wrong again. The light in the warehouse began to flicker again making Will stiff, he turned to look at the wooden wall behind him.

The wall began to stretch like a rub as if someone wanted to tear it down with its claws. Will's fear leapt as he saw this scene even letting go of the shotgun in his hand, he only had one thought in his mind 'Escape!! I must escape from here!'

He didn't know if another monster was waiting for him in front of the door so going through the door was a big no. Suddenly he saw the corner of the warehouse was broken he could see the forest through it.

He quickly rushed and went through the broken hole and ran as if his life depended on it. But he didn't notice the change in his surroundings, creepy plants, darer clouds in the air and most importantly thing his house.

The house behind him was covered with plants and green alga-like creatures as if no one had ever lived in a place like this. Will who ran into the forest didn't notice this but soon will for sure while trying to find his way back.

Hawkins National Laboratory.

Dr. Brenner could be seen sitting in a small with a single bed and two toys which were likely for a girl. He walked out of the room as his eyes turned to the man wearing a black uniform.

"How did she escape?" Benner asked with no emotion. But the man who looked like the captain broke into a cold sweat "Sir... there were suddenly on '-F2' floor as the monster again appeared. All teams were stationed near the entrance, at that time Eleven escaped the facility through the water drainage"

Brenner looked at the man for a few seconds and walked close to him "You better find Eleven's trances or you will have to face the consequences for what you did"

"Yes sir!!" The man knew that he had to complete this mission at any cost as he couldn't bear the consequences of losing such an important experiment that the government had cultivated for a long time.

"And hey listen, I want all the calls in this town to be monitored and quickly find Eleven before some dumbshit from the media finds her. And also eliminate that monster which came over here" Benner said as he walked out.

The man also turned and began to prepare things for his mission, soon the entire laboratory went under high alert.
