Chapter 8

"See if you can find anybody outside. Tell them to come here and bring me to the food." I said to Dai while rubbing my rumbling stomach. "I promise it won't take long leader!" He screams in response.

I sit still for a few minutes and go through the system shop. After dealing with a little boredom I check if I can buy blue-prints. I can, though it seems that I can't just understand them straight away like I did with the arm cover.

Looking around for a bit I decide to buy a 100c blue-print for a transforming wrist blade. Once again I get a headache. Though, compared to the previous one this is really nothing. It looks rather simple. Unfortunately, after looking at in my head for a bit I'm proven wrong.

It's a metal ring meant for the wrist. If I flick my wrist fast enough it will detach, turning into a small dagger approximately 10.6 inches long and 13 cm thick. When in ring mode it will be smooth, looking like just another accessory but when in blade mode it will appear simply devilish

The blade has several small razed sharp curved teeth meant for ripping. There will be several metal scales covering the handle as well as the upper part of the blade. When the scales on the blade are touched they will spike outwards, digging into the victims skin and injecting whatever you want as long as it's a liquid.

It just needs any malleable steel with copper, lead, and some rubber. The parts used to make the blade transform are a tad small but they're nothing to extreme. If I work hard enough and make use of whatever useless metal is around I should make one within a day or two.

Someone knocks on the door. I once again point the gun towards the door. "Come in." Dai along with Ling'er walk in. I several people standing near the door with a gun in hand. They seem to be guarding me.

"Hey leader since this is a mid-size military ship theres a cafeteria down by the bedrooms. Do you want to eat there?." Dai said with an expectant expression.

Ling'er gives glares at him. Everyone outside flinches. I don't trust these people at all so I'll definitely make my own food but I should head to the cafeteria. I need to explore the ship myself anyways.

"Sure. Dai, show me the way. Also carry one of these books for me." I said.

Ling'er opens her eyes wide. Everyone with the exception of Dai is visibly shocked. I go ahead and ignore them and grab the books. Despite how big they are they feel light as a feather.

I give Dai the book on magnetism. He almost drops it. Thankfully, I managed to take it back before he could. Immediately he apologizes with a slight bow. "It's fine. Just hurry up and show me the way."

It seems that I'm stronger than before. Later I'll see if there's a training room and do some test there. Dai takes the lead. Everyone holsters their guns and begin to follow.

We pass through several reinforced steel door. There are no other rooms in the hallway. It seems that the pilot is well protected. After 5 minutes or so we find ourselves in a beaching T hallway.

While moving we run into several corpses. Each one is wearing a light brown combat suite with thick black boots. They're all smiling, dried blood dripping below their eyes and their hair and neck dyed red from the blood pouring out their ears.

After passing through several hallways and bedrooms we make it to the cafeteria. It can easily fit over 500 people with its long rectangular tables and spare walk room. The walls are a cream white and the floor is a cold grey.

On several chairs and against the food counter near the front are smiling corpses. Every single one has the same wide smile on its bloody face. I ignore them and move behind the counter, going through the back door to the food storage.

There are several packages of multi flavored ration bars and boxes of dried fruit as well as canned meat and veggies against the back wall. There are 10 small ovens with 6 burners each as well as several re-hydration stations for some of the more special food.

Since there's a carbon to oxygen converter there's a good chance that this ship is part of a carbon based fleet. There are countless strange humanoid and beastly species in space; some carbon based, some silicon based, some copper based. From humans to metal men.

Because of this fleets are often divided by species base since we often need different things to survive. Most species with the same base can survive in the same environment and rely on the same things to survive. My species is humanoid with a carbon base so for the most part we're like humans.

The only major difference being are physical enhancement spells and skin color as well as some minor physical features like horns and claws. I grab a package of unopened ration bars and move to an empty wall, taking a seat on the ground.

"Can I eat some?" Dai says while says while staring at me. I stay silent so Dai moves to me, staring at the milk flavored ration bar. "Get some yourself. Just make sure to eat only a little. We don't know when we kind find a stable food supply." He looks a little disappointed but still gets a small package of rations.

He grabs salted beef flavored rations then sits on my left. Everybody glares at him, several people clearly ready to punch him. Suddenly Ling'er moves to my right with a high sugar chocolate flavored rations and takes a seat.

They both glare at each other. Ling'er moves closer to me, trying to press her body against mine. Suddenly Dai stands up. "Back off bitch and stop trying to seduce leader." He says with his arms crossed, frowning hard. Ling'er stands up too and moves in front of him with crossed arms. She frowns.

"Says the smiling crazy who stop acting all buddy buddy with god." Ling'er says with a slight smirk while circling her finger around her head. They start pressing their foreheads against each other, making sure their horns hit against the others. I would like to ignore them and eat but now isn't a good time for chaos.

"Both of you shut-up and eat. Ling'er your horns are to thin and your claws are to thick, plus your lack of chest isn't doing you any favors. You stand no chance." I said while eating.

I have to admit she has a nice ass. Unfortunately, she doesn't have the chest to match it. She steps back and presses her hands against her chest. Her cheeks go a light blue. Dai looks at her with a small smile, making sure to laugh loudly.

"Dai, shut up. You creep me out. Everyone here means nothing to me except Dai as well as anybody else here who has experience with handling and repairing machinery. Remember, god of machinery." I said with a stern face.

Dai smiles as if I didn't call him a creep. He points at her with one hand while pretending to snap his horns with another. Everybody else frowns, with the exception of an especially young looking woman. I immediately call her up.

"You, do you know anything about machines." I said with a smile, trying to look friendly. She flinched in response.

"Before this I started my first day as ship maintenance. I'm new but I am and did chose did to become a mechanic." She said in a low voice.

"Alright, you and Dai can eat with me. Everyone else get out and check the corpses for anything useful. Eat in one of the bedrooms if you have to." I said while waving everyone away.

Dai moves to my right with a smug face. The girl just sits still while the others leave with a dejected look. I signal her to sit. She moves to my left, trying to stay far away.

I have to say she really does look young. She looks to be about 13. Her short hair is a light grey, just like her stump like horns. She's wearing casual sandals and jeans with a matching white t-shirt. Same as Dai.

"Little girl how old are you?" I said while looking down at her tiny horns.

Suddenly, she glares at him, doing the same thing he did to Ling'er. "My name is Mei Yu and I'm not a little girl. I'll have you know I'm 24." Mei said with a slight pout, eating her ration after glaring at me. The bars look pretty big in her small hands.

While those two eat I begin reading the first book, taking a bite of a rations bar okay. Even when they finish eating they continue to sit still. The moment I finish reading the book I hear a sigh. "How long did it take me?" I say confused and with my head tilted.

Both of them talk at the same time.

"Leader. It took you four whole hours!" Dai screams with clear annoyance.

"It didn't take to long. Only four hours." Mei said with a calm and quite voice.

I apologize immediately. "Sorry. I'll go ahead and move back to the pilots room and read the second book." I said. Suddenly, I remember that these books are supposed to be holy text. "Em, these are my holy text so go ahead and read this one while I read the other." I said while giving them the books.

Mie smiles while Dai puts on a dead face. I grab the gun and head back to the pilots room with the other book. It doesn't take long, just a little over 10 minutes. The moment I get in I use the card I got from the old man's corpse and lock the door so I can sleep safely.

Before I sleep I would like to finish reading the other book. This ones a little bit smaller so it takes a little over 3 hours. I could read it faster thanks to my perfect memory but I don't. I have to make sure to understand what I'm learning in order to put it to use.

Even after finishing I don't feel too tired. I feel pretty refreshed actually. Hey system. What did the evolution do to my body?

-Your Base Physical Strength Has Quadrupled, Your Mana Capacity Has Quadrupled, Your Mana Has Become 32% Purer, And Now You Can Stay Up For 3 Days Continuously With Only 12 Hours of Sleep.-

Good. With this I can spend more time completing missions and growing. It may be a tad stressful but stress is better than whatever the gods plan to do to me after 3 years.

Without resting I begin to process the information I got. Making sure I fully understand everything, I then begin Thinking about what I should make. Armor? A gun? A small mech suit? The blue-print I got. After several minutes I decide to just make the arm cover.

I made corrections to the last chapter. At some point Ling’er called herself the newly chosen leader of the humans. That was my mistake.

What she should’ve said is.

“I’m the newly chosen leader of the mortals.” She is not a god or dirty or anything. I have corrected the mistake. Feel free to reread the last chapter if you need too.

Sorry for the inconvenience and I hope that everything has been enjoyable so far.
