Captain Jace Malcom

It had been approximately five minutes since we had finished taking care of the scouting group with the Sith. The lightsaber was now securely clipped to my belt and I had just finished downing some water.

I stood up from the ground, feeling much better than I had just minutes prior. "Alright guys, let's move."

It was at this moment that I received an urgent message over comms from Satele. "We've located Havoc Squad. I'm running ahead of the main group. All scouting teams meet me at these coordinates ASAP."

I waited a second and a set of coordinates came in. I tapped a few times on my wrist computer and saw that the location was just ahead. "Alright, double time it is. LET'S MOVE!"

It would take us barely 3 minutes to reach our destination. It must have been just too far where we couldn't hear the battle. All ten of us immediately broke out into a sprint, making our way to the battlefield at breakneck pace.

What would the situation be when we got there? What stage was the battle at? How many Sith would there be? I just had so many questions and no answers. Sadly, there would be no answers until I arrived at the scene.

A few minutes later, the occasional blaster shot could be heard from a distance. I knew we were almost there. With the frequency of the shots, I got the feeling that the battle was slowing down. A victor was about to be decided! I needed to get there immediately!

I somehow squeezed even more speed out of me. I felt the lightsaber smacking against my armor plates as my legs swung back and forth. As I tried to speed up even more, I felt something strange course through me. I almost felt augmented, like I was getting a boost from an unknown source.

I ignored it for now as there was no time to think about it. Soon, something that could be compared to a clearing became visible. I watched as occasionally, a laser would fly through the trees. I also saw countless cloaked figures moving about with crimson blades swinging by their sides.

Without hesitation, I unholstered one of my pistols and aimed it towards one of the Imperials that wasn't a Sith. As I was about to shoot, I heard rapidly approaching footsteps from my back. I spun around as fast as I could and could only stand there in shock.

Sprinting towards me at an unbelievable speed was Satele Shan. My eyes could barely follow her as she flew by me, each step covering several feet.

She then shot into the air, both of her arms out to her sides. I followed her trajectory and noticed that she was speeding towards a group of three Sith holding a Republic trooper by the arms. Was this someone important?

After moving through the air for what felt like forever, she hit the ground. She landed, already down on one knee. Her right fist then smashed into the ground.

As it did so, an ethereal energy exploded around her and spread like a sonic boom. It reached the three Sith in an instant, staggering them to the point that they could barely remain standing.

However, she wasn't done. She pushed off the ground with her legs, shooting towards the staggered Sith enemies.

With her right hand, she reached down to her belt as she flipped through the air. She unclipped and ignited her lightsaber that had an obnoxiously long hilt.

In one swift motion, the blue blade spun around her, dispatching two of them through strikes to their chests and the third by relieving them of their head. After eliminating those three, she landed on the ground using both hands to keep her balance.

Past her I noticed that another Sith, one that wasn't wearing a mask, turn around and glare at Satele with an expression of extreme hatred.

He hissed out some words laced with extreme venom. "Satele…"

Satele slowly stood up from the ground. Her lightsaber was still in her right hand. As she rose, she ignited the blue blade again, spinning the long hilt and transferring it to her left hand. Then, she ignited a second blade on the other side of the hilt, also blue. "Malgus! I will cut you down where you stand!"

She quickly started running towards Malgus, paying no heed to the dangers that lay ahead. This Malgus must be extremely dangerous. I presumed he was a Sith Lord and possibly even on the Dark Council.

I turned my gaze back to what was in front of me. Many of the Imperial troopers were turning towards Satele and rushing in. Countless red lightsabers ignited and began approaching her.

I used my free hand and smacked my face a couple times. "Come on, let's do this."

I then moved that free hand and grabbed the spare rifle that I had looted from the scouts. I pulled the strap over my head and then started running forwards.

*BYUM* *BYUM*

I unleashed as many shots as I could aim, killing several Imperials on my way to the man Satele had just saved. He was currently still struggling to his feet. Noticing this, I tucked the rifle under my left arm while still running. I pulled a bacta injection from my belt and got ready to use it.

I reached the soldier after a few seconds. "Trooper, hold still."

I holstered my pistol and firmly grabbed his shoulder with my right hand. I then jammed the bacta syringe into the crook of his elbow and pressed the button on the top.

The man jolted a bit in shock before he relaxed and stood up with much less effort. "Thank you."

He turned around and smiled. "That felt great! HAHA!"

I held out the spare blaster I had picked up. "I think you need a weapon."

The man nodded and smiled, grabbing the rifle. "Indeed I do."

Holy shit! This was the infamous leader of Havoc Squad! I just made friends with him!

Jace looked at me and nodded. "Good, you're a commander. Get all of your men to wrap around to the South and enter the battle from there. There is a lower concentration of Sith on that side and not all troopers are like my boys."

I nodded and immediately relayed the orders. I didn't even get to respond to him as he started sprinting into battle, headlong towards death.

I quickly followed behind him, also running towards my probable death. Myself, him, and another trooper from Havoc squad posted up next to a tree and opened fire on the scattered Imperials.

Some footsteps came from behind me as the rest of my squad joined me. "Commander."

I glanced over and noticed that Viktor was speaking to me. He looked slightly winded and a bit overwhelmed but he was unloading his clips nonetheless.

Imperials kept dropping dead as we fired our blasters. This small amount of reinforcements completely changed the tides of the battle. It just shows how much of a difference a Jedi can make. Especially when they engaged the strongest combatant on the field.

As we were shooting down range, an intense duel was taking place to my left. Darth Malgus and Satele Shan were at each other's throats, their lightsabers clashing repeatedly.

*THUD*

Suddenly, I heard a pained groan. I turned and saw that Satele had been thrown into a tree. Malgus was flying through the air, his lightsaber positioned to skewer the woman to the tree.

In the nick of time, Satele shot upwards and soared through the air. She flipped over Malgus and landed behind him. Malgus then moved so fast that he was basically a blur. A flash of crimson led to Satele's lightsaber being sliced in half and deactivating as it fell to the ground.

Malgus then pulled back his arm and then threw it forward, carrying out a powerful stab with his lightsaber. It was over. Without Satele, I doubted anyone could beat him. He was a damn Sith Lord! These Sith are easily on par with members of the Jedi Council!

To my shock, the lightsaber didn't go through her. It was stopped by her bare hands. Covering them was the same ethereal energy that she used in the opening move earlier to save Jace.

Almost instantly, I heard some shuffling to my right. Looking over, I saw that Jace had thrown his blaster to the ground and was sprinting towards Satele. What was he doing?!

Somehow, Malgus didn't notice Jace approaching until he unleashed a scream. "AGHHHHHHH"

Just like how I had done earlier, Jace lowered his shoulder and completely lifted Malgus off the ground. The Sith Lord's lightsaber went flying to the ground as Jace carried him forwards for several steps.

Eventually, Malgus got his feet back on the ground. He immediately flicked his head up, smashing it into Jace's own. Malgus then tried throwing a right hook which was effortlessly caught by Jace.

Jace then threw a right hook of his own but his wrist was grabbed by Malgus. The Sith Lord grinned at Jace through his scorched cheek as if he had already won.

Slowly, Jace's right hand turned, revealing a spherical object in his hand. Malgus had still not noticed until…

*BEEP* *ooooAAAHHH*

It was a grenade! It exploded in Jace's hand, sending both men flying out of a flash of bright light. While Jace was out cold on the ground, he didn't look like he had sustained much damage from the blast.

On the other hand, Malgus looked horrible. His scorched cheek now covered half of his face and his armor was riddled with damage from the shrapnel.

Without waiting, I rushed over to Jace, pressing my fingers onto his upper neck to check for a pulse. I released the breath I was holding as he was still alive, just unconscious.

I then turned my gaze back towards Malgus, who was now standing tall. He was glaring at us in rage. Suddenly, Satele stood before him. She stretched her right arm out to the side and then thrusted it forward, her fingers curling as if she was wrestling someone.

A torrent of wind resulting from the force slammed into Malgus, sending him flying backwards. He slammed into a cliff face behind him, his body making an indent as it impacted with the solid rock.

He struggled to push back against the force, peeling his body off of the wall with great effort. "AGHHHHHHHHH!"

Satele pulled her hand back, held her left hand over her right as if she was making a ball and then thrusted them forwards. As she did, an explosion of ethereal energy flowed out of her outstretched hands and sped towards the struggling Sith Lord.

The force was so strong and concentrated that it was visible as a projectile. It almost felt like everything slowed down and became silent as the torrent of force smashed into Darth Malgus.

*BOOOOOOOOOOOM*

The entire cliff face exploded, large chunks of rock shooting through the air. The instant this happened, Malgus' scream went silent. There was only one thing I knew after seeing this: I knew nothing about Star Wars.
