The Authority's bridge

Suspense . He hated such a feeling. The fear of the unknown and what may or may not happen in the future.It left one in trepidation , especially when waiting to meet the right hand man of the Emperor and Dark lord of the Sith.

He was a warrior just like his father and younger brother ; but when faced against such overwhelming power he couldn't stop himself from feeling fear, he wouldn't quiver in his boots like other imperial officers would once they catch a glimpse of the dark lord ; but he would maintain his posture and a certain calmness , stern and disciplined, as required of a Tarkin heir , as required of a imperial Admiral.

"Sir , we're receiving transmission from Lord Vader's flag ship" , a communications officer interrupted, the young imperial looking nervous and uneasy especially after mentioning the dark lord's name.

"Put it through ensign , let us not keep Lord Vader waiting", he said as he folded his hands behind his back and stood at attention waiting for the holographic image of Lord Vader to appear.

And a few seconds later it did , the first thing he could hear was the breathing . The sound would ,make any one uneasy.

The dark lord stared at the Admiral for a few seconds before he spoke.

"Admiral Tarkin" , the monotonous voice echoed throughout the bridge.

"Lord Vader", he replied while slightly bowing.

"Admiral , my time is of the essence , you will relay what you deem so important for my attention, and T'is be wise you don't disappoint me Admiral", the dark lord warned .

"Lord Vader , what I wish to relay to you is the utmost truth, and I'd not be one foolish enough to waste your time" Garoche voiced keeping his face as stern and disciplined as required of him.

"We will see admiral, We shall see" , the dark lord replied.

"Bring it to me", William order his death trooper, who brought Maul's double bladed lightsaber and presented it to the admiral, which Garoche took and displayed for Vader to see.

"Lord Vader ,We have killed… Darth Maul. As you can see this is his lightsaber and his body is presently on this ship if you wish to conf… URGHHKK"

Garoche's words were cut off as he began to choke and claw at his throat for a invisible hand that wasn't there.

"Where!?" , Vader asked darkly.

"DATH…OMIR" Garoche managed to choke out as vader then released him from the force choke , making the admiral fall to the ground.

"Tell me Admiral why didn't you report his location to me before you attacked! ?" Vader questioned,as Garoche now rose to his feet .

"Lord Vader we anticipated he would learn of his compromise and flee the planet , but all that secrecy was in vain for he eventually learned of our approach by some cosmic means ; but he didn't flee as we predicted , probably because of ignorance and Pride, but that mistake on his part eventually led to his death." Garoche replied.

"Don't think you can fool me Admiral . You attacked to gain more merit within the imperial hierarchy. You are lucky that this little gamble of yours paid off! . Killing a former sith is not an easy task , especially one as cunning and fierce as Maul. You will remain around Dathomir until I get there, you will give me a full report on how the zabrak was killed , and for your sake Admiral you will make sure your story adds up for it is your father that is beyond my reach, not you! ", Vader stated coldly as his Hologram image now slowly faded out of sight.

Damn him, Garoche thought as he rubbed his neck .

One hour Later

The Authority's Conference Room.

"Lord vader is coming to Dathomir , we need to prepare for his arrival . Fenn Rau you will stay here until he does , the Dark lord will need an explanation for Maul's death, and it would be easier with you here, " said Garoche getting a nod from the mandalorian leader.

Ever since he got the dark saber Fenn Rau seemed to be more inclined to follow imperial orders. Gratitude goes a far way , he thought.

"No doubt coming here to take some of those Artifacts for himself, before sending the rest to the Emperor", William Quipped.

"Well he can have whatever he wants , we already gained what we came here for and more than we expected. Plus those darkside artifacts wont be of any use to us ." Shale stated getting a nod from everyone.

"A little gratitude from vader and more from the emperor once we present our discoveries to him", William voiced.

"Gratitude?, Tch, that cyborg almost killed me when I reported to him", Garoche scowled.

"If he wanted you dead you would have already been, he wanted to scare you and it's best we get on the good side of Vader, for he hold grudges like the hutts own slaves . We were in the wrong not reporting to his Inquisitorius , but that can be over looked, seemingly as he would have escaped if we arrived a day late. The problem Vader has right now is us doing his job for him , for he will not be disgraced or defaced in his own field . That's why I told you to inform him first. He will present our findings to the emperor and we will be in his Excellency's good graces once more and we will be up for a promotion, and more ships possibly added to our fleet, and shadow command rewarded for its services." William stated getting Optimistic nods from his superiors.

"And you Fenn Rau, you now have the darksaber , you are now a member of shadow command , and with our backing the new Mandalorians shall rise like never before , You will unite the scattered clans not for your banner alone but for the imperial one as well. We will bring order and stability to the entirety of the outer rim. Let those bureaucratic fools squable about the core, while they argue we integrate and conquer the true power and wealth lies in the outer rim waiting! , and take it we will" William finished.
