Star Wars: A Single Wish

I don't own Star Wars. Disney owns Star Wars. This Fanfiction is something I have played around with for a very long time. In my head at least and I want to write some stuff about star wars. This is a wish fulfillment and I don't expect that to get through some of the thick skulls of readers. I won't be updating this regularly, and I wont be giving it a schedule. It's just something I'll write and update when I feel like it. This story isn't set in the skywalker saga, I don't want to get within a light year of that radioactive waste dump. While the original trilogy, clone wars, and mandolorian were excellent that's where the list ends. I don't want people writing reviews for this story, but I won't say you cant. I just want people to read a star wars fanfiction that is better then most out there. I wont lie I'm inspired by A New Player In The Force. However, my story wont be anything like that fanfiction though I really suggest you people read it. Its actually written by an educated teacher whos fighting leukemia. I won't bore you guys with anymore talk so I'll get right into the synopsis now. ------------------- A young boy, no older then 15 lies dying in his hospital bed. The reason he is here is because of the illness he inherited from his mother. He doesn't resent anything about his mother or what he got from her, only that his death be as quick. Before he rested his diseased body on this bed, he would comfort his mother while he could still be considered healthy. His mother passed fast compared to the rate he is going. The Opal family dies with him, and nothing can stop that. One of the things the two did was watch movies and T.V. shows, and their favorite was everything star wars. With Nathan Opal on his last day he is happy that his painful torment shall end. This is where the story begins.

~~~(POV: Nella Opal)~~~
~~~(Location: Hyperspace, Command Deck)~~~

"What I saw in The Caves Of Dagobah is best left unknown to you, Nella. It's not vital information to our mission. The Caves test people, and it had no connection to the pyramid we found in The Northern pole of Dagobah."

He dodges my question about what he saw in The Caves. Not that I blame him for that. Whatever he saw, it was bad enough to shake the planet he was on.

Mom would tell me stories about Nate growing up. How strong he was in The Force. She never told me that he's as vulnerable as anyone else that has lost something important. I can take a guess at what he saw.

But that's making what he went through... Lesser... I want him to talk to me about the things he went through. It'd mean a lot to me. He's my family. Pretty much all I have outside my mom. He knows everything about me.

I don't know anything about him... Nothing he's told me, at least... My attention turns to the holonet terminal in front of me as Nate stands up and walks out of the command deck.

"Mom said she'd want an update on how things are going..."

The time it takes me to tell mom everything that's happened so far since we left Coruscant takes longer than I thought it would. Considering it hasn't been that long since we left. We've been through a lot of shit.

It'll be a while before mom gets back to me. Knowing her, she's busy dealing with the nobles of Alderaan. I don't envy her for that. It was supposed to be my destiny to take that responsibility from her. Now, I'm here.

Adventuring through the galaxy and learning about The Force from the most powerful entity that I've encountered.

That's excluding Nate's birth mother, of course. I left her out because I'd never actually met her. The same goes for the rest of The Mortis Gods. Funny how he's fine sharing this dangerous information with me. But anything personal is off-limits.

~~~(Location: Hyperspace, Personal Quarters)~~~
"I wanted to send you this holo to check up on you. I haven't felt that much of your power in a long time, Nate. Please, get back to me as soon as possible and let me know how you're doing."
The holo-message from Satele plays for me as I look at her miniature form on my desk. I lean back in my chair and take a calming breath. Makes sense the people connected to me would reach out.
I've also got a message from Eassa as well, but I'm not in the mood to deal with her overprotectiveness. As much as I care and... Hold Fondness for Eassa... She's always been on edge when it came to my outburst when we were younger.
Now that she has my personal contact information, I doubt I won't have to check in with her regularly.
"To be fair... Satele is like a mother to me... When I was taken from my parents, she was there for a long time... Along with Caleb... I miss the old Master..."
No matter how hard I try, there is nothing I can do to find out what happened to the man who taught me so many lessons in terms of control.
Satele said that he left The Order long ago, and she hasn't heard from him either.
"Nate, we'll be exiting Hyperspace soon!!"
Nella's voice comes from the intercom. She's likely been busy catching up on messages from the people in her life too.
Once I make it back into the command deck, the blue hue of Hyperspace ends, and the world of Dantooine is outside the window.
"Wow... It's a wonderful world..."
That's something Dantooine is also known for. All my knowledge from my original world comes in handy...
The other version of Nate that suffered on said Earth...
"Bring the ship down."
She takes the order in stride and takes manual control of the ship. I let Nella pilot the ship whenever we get a chance. Dantooine might not seem like the place to find out about the value of the artifacts we carry.
But there are many scientific and archeological sites on the world. After all, much of the history Dantooine still holds is buried.
