---- 3 DAYS PRIOR ----
"ALL HANDS ON DECK!!" The Clones voice echoed throughout the ship as its members scattered about. Barren heaved a piece of steel of the floor as the ship shook from another blast, more bits flying off the Inner walls, a piece hitting Scythe, who fell over.
"get up Clanker!" Mute scolded as he grabbed the droids shoulder and threw him to his feet, the Commando smacking him away.
"Focus" Was all he replied as he ran past Golem, who was using a terminal to control a turret on the ships rear, a small glitchy image of the typical shape of Tie Fighters following them throuhg space appeared, every button press sent bolts at them, the screeching Imperials ducking and manuevring out of the way as their own Green bolts flew at them.
Scythe jogged to a stop as he reached Cody, who desperatly steered the ship towards the nearest planet, the console beeping rapidly.
"What is it!!" Cody yelled, his eyes never leaving the console as he managed to turn the ship out of the way of another barrage, the bolts flying past them.
Scythe nearly stumbled over at the movement "Sir, scans suggest the enemy patrol cruiser has a tractor beam, however it isnt in range"
Cody nodded, throwing the steering wheel to the side "Got it, thanks Clanka" Scythe
nodded. "Were going to land on this planet, hopefully the forest can give us cover to land and repair"
"But sir, the cruiser may send grou-" Cody interupted the Commando, another blast caused the ship to rattle, a panicked yelp from Barren audible in the distance.
"Any better ideas?!" Cody yelled through gritted teeth, Scythe simply stared and turned away. Cody scoffed before slamming the acelerator.
Outside the ship, the roar of the Fighter echoed in space as the rear turret seemed to turn and stare at one of them, before firing a flurry of bolts, two of them chipping the top of the cockpit before the last one dissected the Tie Fighters left wing, sending it into a screeching spiral, the pilot barely visible inside banged on the controls as he spinned to his doom, the ship impldoing with a fireball, another Tiefighter, followed by two slower V-Wings ipped through the wreckage.
"Target down" Golem muttered, Mute didnt reply but patted the droids bakc as he turned away.
"Barren! get me those lasercutters!" Barren looked over.
"Well im using them for this gas leak!!" he said panicked, Scythe seemed to mentally groan as he threw his sword at Mute, the clone catching it, and without a word started using it to try and fix the issue. another blast rang out, this time not from a bolt.
The ship rattled as it entered the atmosphere, a small fireball being formed around Codys ship, the same happening with the Imperials. The back and forth firing ceased as any shots would overheat the blasters, their metal already strained from entering orbit. Within, Scythe had dragged Golem off the turret controls and into a seat, the two droids and the two clones hanging onto their belts as the ship contiued to shake.
Codys eyes strained against the bright forest green, contrasting the black space he was just in, quickly he snapped the ships steering gear, the entire hunk of metal groaning as its momentum was suddenly changed to turn right, Cody grunted aloud as he held the steering wheel in place. The entire vessel spun mid air, now falling into orbit backwards.
The Imperial pilots stared with confusion, as Cody grinned to himself, slamming the cannons, blasting the Tiefighter out of the sky, followed by the V-Wing, their parts dragged back up from the loss of speed, crashing into the last V-Wing, the three ships now nothing more than scrap metal, as Cody heaved the gear back.
Scythes head snapped around as the ships hull groaned in anguish at whatever the hell Cody was doing, Which unkown to the already semi panicking crew within, was doing a full backflip mid air while falling at speeds that would only make the situation worse if the numbers where known.
Codys glare tightned and relaxed into one of relief as the ship returned facing forwards, the clone pressed the buttons for the automatic landing sequence, the hums and clanks of gears and flaps could vaguley be heard from within as Cody got up and made his way to the main area.
"Alright bucketheads and clankers, were landing, get ready for a possible encounter with hostile locals or Imps"
The group simply nodded, unbuckling and throwing themselves around, Cythe grabbed his sword from Mute, who glared at the droid before grabbing his DC-15 Blaster, Barren grabbing his own. Golem stomped his heavy frame to the corner and grabbed his half working shock staff, lifting and tossing Scythes E-5 blaster to the Commando, said droid catching with ease.
The ship easily shoved tree branches out of its way as wildlife ran from the unknown object, the ships gears let loose stem as the door slide open, Barren ran out and fell to one knee aiming ahead, Cody jumped behind him with his long rifle, Scythe frontflipping the other way and aiming own blaster Mute ran out and aimed ahead, Golem clunking his way scanning the area.
"No enemies detected" Golem concluded, clipping the staff to his back and making his way to the ships rear, where smog like smoke poured out.
"Of course we get stuck on another random planet" Barren sighed as he sat on the ships steps.
"If Cody were a better pilot, we wouldnt have been hit" Scythe spat out, his normally uncaring tainted with taunt.
"Is that sarcasam clanka? i didnt think you could do that" Mute smirked, the Commando staring back.
"Correct, it was, Codys flying skills are better than 87.23 percent of clones i have murdered in the past"
The three clones stared for a bit, a bit unsettled by the phrasing, but contiued.
"Well...thanks?" Cody asked confused, pulling out various tools for repairs, a welding torch, some spare metal rods, and more from a metal case he had brought outside.
"No issue" Scythe retorted, the Commando droid, despite its programming had actually gained some intense emotions while traveling with the clones. Sadly for the clones they included of mostly Sarcasm and sass, alongside the occasional anger and insults. Either way, the clones didnt expect even this, but it wasnt bad, it made the droid more effective if anything. Because if an emotionless Scythe already killed Imperials, then an angry Scythe would massacre them.
Barren rummeged through his bag as Mute got up to start helping Cody with repairs. Scythe stared ahead into the forest, it was peacecful, an odd sight considering the sudden shift. Of course, more Imperials would arrive, soon, they knew where they were, or at least the general area. The droid wouldve sighed, but unlike those clumsy B1s, he wasnt annoyed by work.
---------------
The repairs were well on their well, with a combined effort of the two droids, it didnt take long to fix the engine, while Barren fixed some minor issues along the plating, with Cody and Mute rearming the ships shields. The slight noise of meachinery and the dinks and clanks of metal put the squad at an unusual ease, becase they all expected what was happening.
Engines roared above them as black and grey LAATs flew by, their green beams slicing a clearing amongst the tree, the group ceased there work, look above.
"Scrap.." Scythe mumbled.
"GET YOUR ASSES READY!!...Ill start up the ship, fend them off!" Cody ordered with a stern point, the clones nodded as they jogged to the droids. Golem quickly went to a nearby by tree and stuck his staff into it, Scythe followed with a clean slice, the plant toppling over as it landed infront of the clones, the two kneeling down and placing their weapons atop it as a brace, Golem crouched behind it as Scythe side flipped into place.
in the distance..TK troopers marched forwards, wildlife running past the four soliders as they heard a sound..music? and oddly enough chanting, no matter, fancy marching music wouldnt save them.

( Music i had in mind )
They hold their grips steady against the foes that would invetibly appear through the bushes, their steps nearing. Alot of steps. Scythes eyes beamed red as he scanned, nearly 50 lifeforms marched at them, this caused even the droid to visibly lean back.
"how many?' barren asked, his helmet pointed ahead.
Scythe stared forwards aswell, "Too many, we will not hold long"
"We dont have too" Mute replied, readying his blaster.
Gideon stepped in sync with the rest of his troopers, four Death Troopers walking by his sides. Yet, he didn't care about any of them. There was only one that mattered: the creation, the spectacle, the perfect...The first TK broke the tree line, their marching replaced with the patter of boots as red bolts slammed into the fallen tree Barren and Mute ducked behind. Scythe fired back, sending two TKs smoking to the forest floor. The Commando droid glanced to one side, seeing Mute and Barren firing away, red bolts streaking overhead. A few screams followed their shots. On his other side...
There was Golem. The MagnaGuard removed his staff and charged into the greenery. A TK planted his foot on the log and hopped up, aiming his blaster. Scythe grabbed the trooper's leg and yanked him to the ground, stabbing him several times with his sword. The droid then grabbed the lifeless soldier's head and, with a metallic whirr of his arm pistons, tore it off.
The droid chuckled to himself as he hurled the head at the enemy. Several TKs froze, staring in shock—just long enough to be shot down. Intimidation tactics always worked.
"Nasty shit..." Mute muttered, ducking away from an incoming bolt.
"Irrelevant," Scythe responded flatly.
The last TK trooper glanced around, realizing the first wave of his comrades had been wiped out. He hesitated, starting to raise his hands in surrender. But the rustle of leaves caught his attention. The trooper looked up, eyes wide as Golem lunged from above, tackling him to the ground. The MagnaGuard wasted no time, electrostaff crackling as it shocked the remaining life out of the Imperial soldier.
The group stood behind the log, watching intently as Golem hopped over to join them. Distant footsteps echoed through the forest, signaling another wave approaching. Cody's ship's engine roared to life, only to sputter and stall. From the dense brush, a lone figure emerged, clad in black armor and a flowing cape. Gideon stepped forward, his hands clasped behind his back, surveying the carnage with a cold, calculating expression."Typical," he muttered, his voice dripping with disdain.
Mute glared from beneath his helmet, and though droids couldn't truly glare, Scythe's optical sensors conveyed a similar intensity. From behind Gideon, several TK troopers filed out, flanked by two ominous Death Troopers. Mute was about to scoff at the modest force, considering they had just mowed down an entire squadron, but the sound of heavy, deliberate footsteps silenced him.
CLANK...
Scythe's head tilted slightly at the noise, and the clones beside him narrowed their eyes. The brush behind Gideon rustled violently as something massive approached. Gideon's lips curled into a sadistic smile.
CLANK...
The ground shook as a tree toppled, crashing to the forest floor. Emerging from the shadows was a monstrous figure, a grotesque amalgamation of metal and flesh. Its mechanical joints clicked and snapped with each movement, while patches of raw, writhing flesh were visible through its cracked armor. A low, guttural groan escaped from within, a disturbing mixture of man and machine.
Barren's weapon wavered as he stared in horror. "Wha...what have you done?" he asked shakily.
Gideon's voice was cold and triumphant. "I have created the pinnacle of warfare: the strength of a droid, the mind of a clone... perfection." He circled the abomination, his gloved finger trailing along its arm. The creature stood motionless, unreactive.
Golem's red eyes flickered with annoyance. "That hunk of junk is nothing compared to the CIS droid army," he said, slamming his staff into the ground for emphasis.
Gideon's smirk didn't waver. "Oh, I might believe you... if the Confederacy were still around. But we all know how that ended."
Golem bristled, his systems heating with indignation. Scythe reached out to restrain him, but Golem slapped the commando's hand away. Leaping over the log, he spun his staff, its electric tips crackling to life.
"I'll crush you," Golem growled.
Gideon didn't respond. He simply gestured forward. The Dark Trooper groaned, its metal limbs creaking and cracking like brittle bones as it lumbered toward Golem. Muffled screams of anguish emanated from within the machine with each step, a haunting reminder of the man trapped inside.
Golem didn't hesitate. As the Dark Trooper swung a massive fist, Golem ducked low, the blow whooshing over his head. With a sidestep, he spun his staff upward and brought it crashing down on the trooper's shoulder. Sparks erupted as electricity coursed through the construct. Yet, to Golem's surprise, the trooper retaliated with a swift backhand, sending him hurtling through the air. He landed in the mud with a metallic thud.
Scythe tensed, his grip tightening on his weapon. The clones exchanged uneasy glances. Even Gideon's troopers stood still, silently observing the duel. It seemed, at least for now, that honor dictated this fight remain one-on-one.
Golem rose, mud streaked across his chassis. He wiped his red photoreceptors clean, locking eyes with the advancing Dark Trooper. "Your creation is slow," he taunted, sidestepping another clumsy charge. The Dark Trooper's momentum carried it into a tree, splintering it into a spray of bark and debris. Golem spun his staff and stabbed it into the trooper's side three times in rapid succession.
The trooper groaned, twisting to swing an arm at Golem, who deftly hopped backward. "Pathetic," Golem sneered, sidestepping yet again. This time, he grabbed the trooper's arm and yanked it forward, driving his electrified staff into its chest cavity. The shock elicited pained screams from the being trapped within.
"Worthless!" Golem snarled, pulling his staff free. A mixture of oil and red, viscous fluid sprayed from the wound. The Dark Trooper staggered, its limbs twitching uncontrollably, before collapsing to the ground in a lifeless heap.
Golem stood over his fallen opponent, spinning his staff with a flourish. He turned to face Gideon. "Now—"
A red flash pierced the air, striking Golem's chest. Sparks erupted from the impact point, and he staggered back. Scythe's optical sensors stared in alarm as another shot rang out, this time severing Golem's arm. The elite droid attempted to raise his remaining hand, but two more shots hit home—one driving his arm down, the other piercing his photoreceptor.
Golem collapsed into the mud, his systems sputtering. Smoke curled from Gideon's pistol as he lowered it, a cruel grin on his face. Golem twitched, his systems struggling against the inevitable shutdown. For a brief moment, something unfamiliar flickered in his fading consciousness. It wasn't anger or defiance—it was... something else. Something new.
His voice crackled, faint and distorted. "I... u-use-d to have string-gs... bu-but n-now... I'm freeee..."
Golem's chest light dimmed, his photoreceptors flickering out. Scythe watched, unmoving, as the elite droid's systems failed. The commando's grip on his blade tightened. He had felt anger before. But this... this was something deeper. This was rage.
"Scythe come on! We can't save him!" Cody yelled from the ships entrance, Mute and Barren running inside as the ducked away from several more bolts. Scythe shook himself out of his state, and turned to start running but stopped as he saw the TKs mounting something, a large cannon like object that stuck itsef to the floor, a TK rapidly clicked the small panal and a harpoon launched out of it, crashing into the ships wing.
Scythe jumped over a few bolts as he slashed a TK by him, blasting to others dead in the distance as he duel wielded his sword and blaster.
"Go…I will cover you"
Scythe words were hard to argue as the Clones watched the droid recklessly charge ahead, the three veterans clambered into the ship as the door slammed shut, the entire vessel rumbling as it took of, being pulled back by the harpoon. Not for long however, as Scuthe skidded by a TK, gutting them along the way before hopping into the air and blasting the harpoon controller before coming down and cutting the wire with a downward swing, Cody's ships schreeched as it shoved trees out of the way and blasted into the distance.
The clicks of blasters filled Scythes sensors as the few remaining TKs and the Death Trooper surrounded him.
"Noble…for a droid…" Gideon mocked, walking right up to the droid.
"Your puny Empire will not last" Scuthe spat.
"Looks who's to talk…the what..CIS? Was it? Their not around either are they?"
Scythe stood silent. Before turning and waving towards a Death Trooper, the Commandos head snapped just to see the tall black armored figure stick a device onto his chest, shocks filled his circuits as his vision glcithed, and shutdown….
….
…
Gideon and his Imperials left….
Golems body stood stiles than the mud around him as it soaked into his cloak…
Just another casualty..
That's all droids are….right?
