Chapter 39: How cute!

In the morning, Xavier and Daisy did their exercise. Since Daisy has recovered, she started her training. She didn't wanted to delay the shooting anymore. All she wanted was to quickly go back to her work. She already took two weeks off.

"Bad wolf, I'll go back to shoot from tomorrow", Daisy said as Xavier came out from the bathroom. "Babygirl, you need rest", he said with a scowl. Daisy knew he just wanted her to stop and stay at home which she didn't wanted.

"I will go back to work. Either I will go to work or I will not talk to you. Now decide", she said pouting her lips. "You want to get punished?", he asked in a stern tone. She glared at him and he sighed knowing how stubborn she is.

"Fine. You can join your work from tomorrow", he said in a defeated tone. Daisy clung to his neck happily and standing on tip toes she kissed his cheek. "My bad wolf is the best", she boot licked him trying to make him smile.

Xavier chuckled hearing her. She always does this. Everytime she wants him to agree on something, she would threaten him then flatter him sweet words and her cute looks. He patted her head gently.

Nick and Crystal came to the mansion and greeted both Xavier and Daisy. Xavier was too cold which made Crystal shiver a little. The words people said about him were true. He was really too intimidating.

"Brother...", Xavier cut off Nick. "Are you both interested in each other like Aden said?", Xavier asked straightforwardly. "Yes", both of them answered. "To the point of spending the entire life?", Xavier asked.

Crystal was hesitant about the question while Nick confidently nodded. Xavier eyed Crystal carefully analyzing her. "Yes. I am", she answered after a while but confidently with her voice firm.

"Okay then. You know what to do", Xavier said looking at his brother who gave a nod. "Daisy, are you okay now?", Nick asked in a concerned tone. "Yes, I'm okay now. I'll join work from tomorrow", Daisy said with a bright smile.

"Babygirl, you'll rest the entire day today", Xavier said sternly. "Bad wolf, I've been resting for the whole two weeks. No more. Let me do training the rest of the day", Daisy said but Xavier shook his head.

"Either you rest today and go to work tomorrow or you can rest for two more weeks. What will you choose?" Xavier asked to which Daisy pouted. "Petty, bad wolf."

"How cute!", Crystal exclaimed looking at the two. Everyone turned to her as if she did some crime. "Ah... Mrs. Knight is cute", Crystal said feeling embarrassed by the way everyone were looking at her.

"Call me by my name. You'll be a Knight soon too", Daisy said with a smile making her eyes curve. Crystal blushed lightly hearing Daisy's comment while Nick smiled looking at her.

My feisty little kitten looks so cute when she blushes. I should make her blush more. Nick thought.

"Babygirl, time to do some stretching", Xavier said wiping his mouth with the napkin. Daisy nodded. "I'll see you later. Nick has my number you can call me we can hang out", Daisy said standing up elegantly.

Crystal gave a nod and with that Daisy left leaving the two alone.

"She is so sweet", Crystal said and turned to Nick. Her breath hitched in her throat seeing him so close. "She is. But you are no less. Were you serious about spending your life with me?", he asked leaning closer.

Nick held her back when she tried to move back from him. "You didn't propose me yet", she said as her cheeks turned red. "That's all? Wait for me then", he said as his eyes fired up in excitement.

On the other side, Daisy was doing stretching. Her body was already flexible so she didn't need to put a lot of stress. After doing exercise for a while and training which was done after begging Xavier for it.

With time, Daisy was getting perfect in shooting. Little did she know that Xavier deliberately was teaching her shooting and self defense but the movie was just an excuse for him.

He was well aware that people would try to capture her to keep her as hostage against him so he was teaching her a few self defense so she won't be too vulnerable when the time comes. This was also the sole reason why he didn't wanted to announce their marriage.

Being rich and powerful was a great thing but the risk and danger that comes with it was an another thing.

After all the training and practices, Daisy was bored at home. She walked to the study room and knocked on the door. "Come in", came the authoritative voice of the almighty man sitting inside.

Daisy poked her head inside the room to find him all focused on the document in his hand. Xavier looked up and gave a smile upon seeing her face. "You need something, babygirl?", he asked gently to which she shook her head.

She walked inside slowly fiddling with her finger and pouting like a small kid who is hesitating to ask her parent about the new toy she wants. Xavier noticed her hesitation and chuckled lightly at her baby like behaviour.

"Umm... I'm just bored. If you are free for sometimes then can we go shopping? I didn't go shopping for quite a while now", she said in a low tone. He kept the file in his hand on the desk and stood up to walk upto her.

"You were hesitating to say this little thing?", he asked in an amused tone to which she nodded. He ruffled her hairs and lightly gave a pat. "You don't need to hesitant. Come, let's go", he said and walked out holding her hand.

After getting ready, they left for the mall. Daisy held Xavier's hand and dragged him into different shops. She first went to the perfume store as she loves collecting different scented perfumes.

"I will pay you back when I get more money, okay, bad wolf?", she said innocently tilting her head to the side and smiled. "You don't need to pay me because I'm buying them for you. I'm your husband so its my responsibility to spoil you", he said patting her head.

"No. No", she denied while moving her index finger in front of him. He gave a confused look. "Why only you can spoil me and not the other way? I will spoil you too", she said holding his face between her palms.

She brought his face a bit down then tiptoed and pecked on his lips. "My good bad wolf", she appreciated patting his head still standing on her tiptoes. Xavier let out a hearty laughter at her innocent words.

"What does even 'good bad wolf' mean?", he asked her. She thought hard for a while before replying, "You are good and very nice but I call you bad wolf so you are good bad wolf." He chuckled at her explanation.

He would take up any stupid explanation she was to give him. He would not say a word if she was to say that she doesn't likes someone and killed them. Instead he would come and bury the corpse for her and take up every blame on himself.

Daisy held his hand and dragged her to the clothing store. She went through all the clothes and he kept buying everything she touched. She noticed what he was doing and stopped him but he was too stubborn.

"Bad wolf, I don't like them. Why are you buying them?", she asked looking at him. "Because I want to. Choose more and I will buy them for you as well. Come on", he urged her to which she sighed.

"Will you buy me everything in this mall if I go touching everything?", she asked with her hands on her hips. He firmly gave a nod. She was stunned his response but then recovered quickly remembering the past when he got her everything like this.

"Nevermind", she waved her hand.

After buying whatever she wanted, they left for home. Daisy was excited to go back to work. She didn't like to stay at home all idle doing nothing.

Although she might have been spoiled rotten but she wasn't a lazy one who would sit back home and spend money. She liked spending money but she wants to be independent.

Earlier when she used to spend her father's money, she would always feel bad and would be more determined to one day make her father proud. Her dad was the reason why she opted for business studies.

But after meeting Xavier, she changed her career completely because he wanted her to fulfill her dreams for herself and not for others. He wanted her to be happy for herself and not to make others happy.

He knew what she went through after her mother's death so he wants to give her all she wants and deserves.
