79 Issue 79: A New Age Part 16

The whole room lit up with spells while a large Portal opened above and dropped in every last Hydra Agent, A,I, Politician, and even their coffins. There were even pods with people floating inside them.

"Huh…probably should have fine-tuned that non-living clause," Peter shook his head before creating a megaphone out of Sue's barriers and walked up a set of transparent stairs.

"Scumbags and Nazi Bitches, we will give you one chance to surrender quietly and walk into your cells. However, if you even try and resist," Peter gestured to the Avengers, Defenders, Sword, and Shield members, "Well, you'll be in for a world of hurt and I cannot guarantee your survival."

All of the turrets pointed their weapons at the crowd of villains.

Needless to say, they did not throw their hands up and surrender. No, those with weapons or powers suddenly started running towards them. However, there were some who surrendered and stayed back, some were naked and had soap duds on them while others were noncombatants.

"Avengers," Cap shouted, "Attack!"

Peter laughed as he clicked on the defenses with a snap of his finger and watched as the turrets came on and stared firing into the crowd.

Web nets, pellets, electrical blasts, and sonic vibrations riddled the room, severely weakening the Hydra agents but not all of them were so easily taken down.

They clashed with the heroes and the fight quickly became a scene of chaos and mayhem. Thousands of Hydra agents against a hundred heroes fought, one to subdue, and the other with intent to kill. The proto-Symbiotes all screamed in pain before turning into slush, and every now and then the turrets took down some men.

Peter weaved through the crowd knocking out everyone he touched with a Venom Blast, bunching them up in webbing, and spitting quips like a pro.

"Wow, I bet you guys never saw this coming, then again, snakes have bad eyesight, so I guess that was to be expected," Peter kicked a dude into a jell cell.

"You know, they say laughter is the best medicine, but I recommend aspirin and washing it down with a little punch!" Spider-Man's fist nicked a guy in the chin.

"Cute pistol, did your mommy buy it for you?" MJ laughed as she webbed out of his hand and hit him with it.

"Now, I know what you're thinking, how did we get ourselves in this sticky situation," Peter and MJ slammed a few Hydra agents together.

"Bob?" Deadpool stopped his swords short of cutting through a guy.

"Wade?" The Hydra agent lowered his gun.

"Oh my god, it's a Tony knock off. Did you dig that suit out of his garbage can? It's so last year's model," MJ shot her webbing and made the suit fall apart with a series of quick yanks.

"Hey, did you know what's black, red, and white? The Red Skull after I left him with a black eye," Steve shouted as his shield bounced off a few dozen men.

"Really?" Tony lifted a brow while shooting lasers and dodging heavy gun fire.

"What…it looked like fun," Captain America blushed as he dodged a punch.

"Cut one down another head arises? I guess we're gonna have to De-hydra-te the world in one go," Peter and Magneto teamed up to wrap a few dozen guards in a rope made from crushed laser weapons.

"Ha, that one actually made me laugh. I think I like him a bit better now," Pietro smirked before dashing through the crowd, knocking everyone out with a finger tap.

Erik rolled his eyes while Logan jumped past him, driving his claw tips into a Hydra agent who was targeting Scott.

Fury and two dozen of his super enhanced Shield agents fired weapons into the crowd, taking down dozens enemy combatants. Sword was right beside them and it seemed like Hydra was falling quicker than a knife fight in a phone booth.

The X-Men used all kinds of abilities, lasers, elements, various forms of energy, and melee attacks shook the area they were in every time they hit their targets.

The Defenders attacked with super strength, speed, martial arts, fire, and Chi, tearing through the group of foes like they were made of butter.

The mutant brotherhood was a bit more brutal than the others. However, they did manage to try and not kill.

"Magneto! Take it for a spin!" Cap shouted as he tossed his shield to him.

Erik grinned as he held the weapon and said, "It would be my pleasure."

The two working in unison, redirecting the shield to Cap every time he tossed and bounced it off several villains before Magneto controlled it to take out even more Hydra agents.

Peggy smirked as her guns both killed and incapacitated her targets. She then jumped up and took the shield before landing and holding it out for Storm to shoot lighting at it.

"Light it up, Ororo,"

The blast created a shockwave that rippled through the crowd surrounding her before she tossed it back to Steve and said, "I'm going to put in a request for a Shield of my own."

"Told you they were useful," Steve grinned as he raised his fist to the side of his head, knocking out another Hydra agent.

Cyclops widened his visor as he let a stream of kinetic energy that took out dozens of Hydra agents with one turn of his head.

"Nice, Scott. Let me in on this," Gambit joined him and tossed dozens of cards that blew up like land mines.

"Not bad, sugar, but I'll show you how it's done," Rouge absorbed the powers of her enemies and gathered more strength with ever foe she took down.

Xavier made dozens of people fall asleep as he walked through the battlefield while Beast threw their unconscious bodies into the containment cells.

Fury worked together with the Avengers, punching, shooting, and kicking Hydra ass like he was born for the role.

The Hulk smashed…a lot.

"PARKER!" The voice of Venom roared out.

Peter dodged at the last second, narrowly avoiding the fist that slammed down beside him.

Eddie stood up with the Venom Symbiote, however, there was something different about him. He had streaks of metal tattoos that were made of Vibranium.

"I guess that explains why Venom's not freaking out," Peter said as the sound waves melted and incapacitated the other Symbiotes.

"YOU RUINED EVERYTHING!" Eddie shouted.

"I tend to do that with villains that have world conquering goals," Peter dodged and weaved away from Venoms attacks. He didn't need his Spider-Senses to avoid these blows. His martial arts training was more than enough, "It's not like you're special or anything...baka."

"I'LL KILL YOU!"

"Never heard that line before," Peter's hands glowed with Chi and fire before he punched Venom in the chest, sending him flying backwards.

Venom tried to web his foe, but Spider-Man grabbed it and pulled the villain wearing the Symbiote back towards him and slammed his face onto the ground.

For a second, the heat pushed Venom aside, revealing the crazed eyes of one Eddie Brock.

"YOU STOLE IT FROM ME!"

"STOLE?" Peter shouted, "YOUR FATHER WAS THE THIEF! IT'S HIS FAULT I GREW UP WITHOUT MY PARENTS!" Peter laid into him, hitting him with Fire Chi blast after blast.

"The Symbiote belonged to my parents! He spied, stole, and kidnaped my family! You don't get to play the guilt card on me, not when you're working for actual Nazis!!!"

The fire shifted to lightning as Peter slapped Eddie on the chest.

Venom let out a roar as he managed to separate itself from the host somewhat when Peter heard something he never thought he'd hear.

"Spider-Man…help…me…please…!"

Peter saw a pair of technological bands on Eddie shimmer before it pulled Venom back on him.

The hero gripped Eddie's wrists so tight that the tech shattered and the Symbiote was freed. He then picked up Eddie and then looked him dead in the eyes, "And you know something, Eddie? You're just as bad as your father."

Spider-Man tossed him into the chamber before he looked at Venom, "Hey there fella, I'll get you home, until them, help us take down the bad-guys, yeah?"

Venom moved over to pick a hero from the crowd and jumped on Logan. Out of all the ones he could choose from, Wolverine had the highest level of life force to sustain him.

"Wow…so this is what being you feel like?" Logan snickered, "You really are constantly pulling your punches."

"I will comply, Parker. This time," Venom said as he turned back to the group and jumped into battle.

In just 4 hours of combat, the group of heroes had completely decimated the entire army of Hydra agents.

Peter was sitting on top of a pile of unconscious bodies as he said, "Well, that wasn't too hard."

Everyone was pretty much wiped out, panting, or just lying on the ground trying to catch their breath.

"I can't move them all," Peter sighed as he clapped his hands and made robots to do the job for him.

"So, this counts as cutting off the heads, right?" MJ asked.

"Yeah, but I'm not looking forward to the paperwork," Fury sighed.

"How many politicians do you think are here, a few hundred maybe a couple thousand?" Charles asked.

"Like I said, paperwork is going to be a bitch,"

"We'll sort this out later, as for now, we should upload the footage to Earth," Peter grinned.

"Hey, shouldn't we keep this quiet?" The Shield Agent known as Mockingbird asked.

"No, we're the Avengers, and part of that is the benefit of being a public global peace keeping force. People need to know what we did here, what we accomplished. We took down Hydra," Peter shook his head, "Plus, 110,000 people just disappeared. If we tried to hide this, our publicity would take a nosedive."

"We'll also need the confessions of every last dirty politician," MJ added.

"We'll get right on that, but we'll have to find some place for…"

"Bucky?" Captain and Natasha shouted as he saw the Winter Soldier floating in a stasis pod.

"Victims," Peter finished.

Needless to say, it was a busy couple of days for the heroes. They had to go through thousands of Hydra agents and use a truth serum to get answers and confessions. After that, they had to rescue victims from various Hydra bases on earth. Political prisoners, entire families, people that had been experimented on, and they had to destroy any dangerous technology and weapons.

"This is gonna make one hell of documentary," Stark said as he sat in the break room.

"You're telling me, did you know Eddie planned on putting microscopic Symbiote pieces into the world's drinking water. He planned on absorbing millions of people."

"No shit?" Rhodey said as he passed Peter a cup of coffee.

"I guess it's good we acted when we did," Stark looked at Fury who in turn flipped him off.

Charles stepped in the break room and walked over to the sink before dunking his bald head under the cold water.

"I've never wished more than in my life to make this power disappear. The thoughts of these monsters…it's sickening!"

"Now you know how I feel," Erik smirked.

"I've been in the head of Nazi's before, Erik. But most were just drones, brainless kids who didn't know better and the propaganda they were fed. Hydra is far worse. Every last one of those fu…" He stopped himself from cussing.

"You can cuss, we're all adults," Peter snickered.

"Aunt May wouldn't approve," MJ chuckled.

"What no Language, cap?" Tony lifted a brow at Cap.

"I'll let slide," Steve smiled.

"There is no redemption for those fuckers," Charles spat out.

"So, how many more do we have to go through?" Banner asked.

"Around 5,000. We're a bit over halfway done," Fury replied.

"Good, I want to go home. I miss my wife," Reed said with dark rings under his eyes.

"You have to stop trying to figure out the constructs made by the Reality Topaz," Peter shook his head.

"I'll figure it out, damn it!" Reed huffed as he crossed his arms.

"So, boys. Who's ready to get back to work?" Peggy asked as she leaned against the wall, "Those bases on Earth won't dismantle themselves."

"I'm game," Pietro walked over while stretching, "That power nap did me some good."

"Curious, how many died?" Erik looked at Logan and Deadpool who was hugging him.

"Get off me you Scivey Dough-head," Logan kicked Wade away.

"But we have a movie together, doesn't that mean anything to you?"

Ignoring him, Logan looked at Erik and said, "318 casualties out of 100,616 combatants,"

"Hey, that's a 0.3% fatality rate. Not bad in my books. Even better since those turrets could take out our wounded and get them to Med-Beds, there wasn't a single casualty on our side," Fury put his hand on Peter's shoulder.

"Yeah, I wasn't expecting all of them to live. Not in a battle this big," Peter sighed.

"It was a good plan, Pete," MJ gave him a hug.

"318 people died because of my mission, I just wonder if I could have done more. I'll have to live with that, and I'll have to accept that I can't save everyone."

"Speaking of saving," Sam Wilson looked at Cap.

"I'll have to ask Reed,"

"His mind has been fried. There are signs of electroshock torture and a large bath of various chemicals were given to him. The others are the same, Super Soldiers with programmed minds. It's terrifying to imagine how it felt going through what they did."

"What are his chances of recovering?" Natasha asked.

"Been meaning to ask, what's your relationship with Bucky?" MJ lifted a brow.

"He's my husband, and I thought he was dead."

The room looked at Nat with a serious expression before several shouted, "What?" at the same time.

"You and Bucky are married?" Steve tilted his head.

"I haven't seen him for more than twenty years,"

"Wait…how old are you?" Tony asked.

"It's rude to ask a lady her age," Natasha smirked.

"The Red Room had some benefits," Peter added, "Small healing factor, ageless appearance, I'm guessing they had their own version of the Super Soldier serum,"

"You're serum was better," Nat walked over and gave him a hug.

"Woah…um…this is new," Peter hugged back.

"You gave me back something important, twice. I'll never forget this favor webs," Nat said before she pulled MJ into the hug as well.

"No problem, Nat. Us red-heads have to look out for each other."

"Huh? Is it weird that I'm a little jealous?" Tony chuckled.

"Depends, you want Pepper to hear that?" Rhodey smirked.

"I meant in a platonic way, I've known Nat way longer. How come I don't get hugs," Tony crossed his arms.

Natasha rolled her eyes and said, "Keep being a hero, and we'll find out if you deserve it."

"So how's her husband's condition?" MJ asked as Black Widow let them out of the hug.

"Oh, I'll have him up and out of those pods in no time. The Med-Beds can heal the genetic damage and repair their brain tissues. Charles here can help them recover their minds and memories. We should also make sure they weren't…voluntary subjects."

"Right…I need a break from those fascists pieces of garbage. Saving someone will do me some good," Charles walked towards the door.

"Remind me to make him take a break," Peter yawned as he got up and tapped Steve on the shoulder, "Come on, let's go vent by destroying more Hydra bases."

"Right," Steve got up as Peter opened a portal back to earth.

"Hold on, bub. What do we do about my hitchhiker?"

Venom's head popped out from Wolverine's shoulder.

"Reed and I have been working on something to get you home, just give us a couple of weeks," Peter shrugged his shoulders.

"So I'm stuck with em?"

"Why are you complaining, you get Spidey Powers on top of your bad ass powers," Deadpool shook his head, "You could always pass him over to me."

"NO!" Everyone in the room shouted, even the Symbiote.

"He's crazy, in all realities," Venom growled.

"Hey, Venom, you can keep you cool, right?" Spider-Man lifted a brow.

"I will keep my word, little Spider,"

"You know, you should make up with your Parker."

"Never! He abandoned us!"

"I mean, you were both at fault. A partner doesn't control their other. They certainly don't enhance their more violent thoughts while suppressing all the good ones."

Webster appeared on Peter's shoulder and looked at Venom, "He respects my boundaries and I his. What you did was not Symbiosis, but Parasitism. Humans don't think like us, Venom. We are different, and it's only when we show respect that respect is given."

Venom huffed before Peter said, "Hey, I'm sure if you explain yourself and be honest, my otherself will forgive you. It's not too late, Venom. You can make things right, be the better maaa…er…Symbiote. You just have to follow three simple rules, don't hijack your host, don't mess with their heads and emotions, and don't kill or maim. That's all it would've took for your Spider-Man to stay with you."

"Oh, and don't eat people," MJ added.

"I require sustenance."

"Chocolate, right? I can help with that, give you something that will help you survive without a host, and even help you understand how humans think."

"Why would you do that?"

"I really want you to help your Spider-Man. You know just how hard he pushes himself, the horrible experiences he will have because he isn't strong enough, and extra strength should make his life a little easier."

"You want me to bond with him when you know that he will never agree?"

"Like I said, make the first step and apologize, I know he'll listen," Peter let out a yawn.

"I…very well, if you are being honest…I will consider it," Venom slinked off Logan's body.

"Here, take this and you'll be able to produce your own source of sustenance as well as quite a few other abilities. I've also installed a program inside it that will let you experience a human life while forgetting your Symbiote life. It's not permanent, and the moment the simulation ends, all your memories will return. Think of it kind of like a video game."

"Dude you ripped that from Rick and Morty," Johnny laughed.

"It works. It was either that or the Point of View Gun from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy."

"Can you make one?" Johnny's eyes widened.

"I can manipulate reality, I can make anything," Peter shook his head as he made another Globby Clone.

Venom jumped on it and absorbed it into his being before standing up in a new body that looked exactly like Spider-Man during his Symbiote years.

"Ah, the classic is just the best," Peter chuckled as he looked at Venom and waited for the simulation to stop.

What he gave him was the memories contained within his Spider-Man's genetics. He grew up as Peter right up until their bond was shattered by the church bell and the simulation stopped.

"I…have much to ponder over," Venom bonded with Logan again.

"Guess he prefers the company," Peter chuckled.

"Well, that was a strange conversation," Deadpool snickered.

"We told them about the Multiverse days ago," Peter rolled his eyes.

"Yeah off screen," Deadpool's innervoice spoke up.

"Let's go ladies, gents," Peggy dragged him and Steve through the portal.

Another two days passed before they finished up their business and announced their victory with a 3-hour documentary. Tony's idea, of course.

With the evidence they gathered and confessions on top of the public viewing, any third parties that might have fought with Hydra shut their mouths. So, as Peter promised, only prison and death sentences awaited those that they arrested that day.

Bucky was in a form of hibernation while his body and mind healed and he would wake up in a few days with all that was taken from him.

Natasha took a vacation and waited by his side for him to wake. With Steve, Logan, and Peggy coming to visit every now and then.

Peter also discovered files that showed the Hydra hit list, and Tony's parents were on them. Strange thing was, the Starks weren't killed by Bucky. Howard and Maria were killed by an assassin hired with Roxxon's money. It was like killing with a stolen knife, Hydra planted an Agent in the company and used them to kill their old enemy.

"I guess more of Tony's history follows the comics. I hope he takes this well…knowing him, he might just fly off to Roxxon with his Hulk Buster."

Peter sighed as he pulled up the video and watched a man identified as Paul Norbert Ebersol shot their car off the road.

As it just so happened, he was one of the villains they captured that was put on death row, so Peter had a way to calm Tony down, but he knew for a fact that it wouldn't end just like that.

"I still have to tell him…ugh, I hate bringing bad news like this," Peter called him up and looked out his window.

"Hey! You seeing this? Our Avengers Youtube account is going crazy!"

"Yeah, I saw it, feels nice not paying for everything right?" Peter chuckled.

"You're telling me, after Reed joined and opened up that nifty negative zone portal we can support the Avengers until the end of time, the extra cash is just a bonus on everyone's checks."

"Haahh…Er Tony, I have something to tell you. I'll stop by in a few minutes."

"What's up, kid?"

"Bad and good news, just promise me you won't fly off the handles."

"Seriously, what's up?" Tony's voice grew a bit frustrated.

"I'll explain everything in a couple minutes, just make sure you're pants are on when I come over."

"Seriously, still bringing that up? I'm leaving a tie on the door from now on,"
