78 Issue 78: A New Age Part 15

The next morning, Peter and MJ got ready to head to Venus with the Avengers. The Defenders, Sword, Shield, and all of the Avengers were waiting at the Tower for the Spider-Couple when they dropped down from a portal.

"Hey! How's it going," Peter waved at the large crowd.

"Well enough," Richard Reed walked over with a large smile on his face.

"I take it you like the lab?" MJ smirked. She felt proud that she was the one who built the tech for the new Baxter Building.

"Yes, it's absolutely fantastic! We plan to move the equipment from our first building over sometime this week," Reed smiled.

"What are you going to do with the original Baxter Building?" Peter questioned.

"We decided to give it to Johnny. He wants to turn it into a garage for building future cars," Reed laughed.

"So is it just you and Johnny today?" MJ asked.

"Sup, Spider-Dorks!" Johnny gave a two finger salute.

"Nothing much, least popular hero in New York. How about you?" Peter flipped him off.

While Johnny's eyebrow twitched, Reed sighed and said, "Yes, Ben is undergoing his evolution. I figured it would be safer to slowly expose him to the radiation rather than pump it all in at once, and Sue is, well, eight months pregnant, so no fighting for her."

"I'm glad you took my 'precaution, precaution, precaution' speech to heart," Peter smirked.

"Yes, we don't want another infestation incident," MJ shook her head.

"I've learned my lesson, and once again, thank you for the new lab."

"If you want to repay me, I want to borrow Sue for a column in my magazine. Mother's Day is coming, and I want her to model some outfits for me," Mary Jane smirked.

"I'll…ask her about it, but no promises."

"Hey MJ," Jess and Angel walked over and gave a hug.

"Going good, girls. You ready to take down some bad guys," MJ chuckled.

"Always," The two Heroines replied.

"So, is everyone here?" Peter asked.

"Everyone but Thor," Steve said as he walked forward.

"Great, I'll get us started," Peter snickered as he opened a Portal to space just above Venus.

"You…you built an Orbital Ring?" Reed and Banner spoke in unison.

"Yep. I extracted the materials to build it from our Oort-Cloud and built it with a colony of Nanobots. I needed one for what I have planned. For starters, I'm going to make a moon and speed up the planet to a 24 hour day and night cycle. Then I'll convert the carbon dioxides in to water. After that, I'll alter the earth to become soil, and lastly, I'll release seeds to grow several forests, grass, and edible plants."

"Will you need our help?" Magneto spoke up.

"Actually, I'm going to do this solo." Peter looked at the planet and smirked, "Do you know the most important requirement for alchemy?"

Strange gasped as he saw the giant ring around the planet for its true purpose, "A circle. You made a planetary circle?"

"First, I'll go ahead and teleport a stray exo-planet from our Oort-Cloud and put into a stable Orbit." Peter pointed to the distant ring circling Venus.

Those with superior eyesight saw it and looked at Peter like he was a monster.

He opened the portal when the ring glowed. It magnified his magical abilities and slowly started moving a frozen object half the size of Venus in the center of it.

Spider-Man then said, "Webster, start Project Eden 2.0."

The ring they were standing started glow before lines formed all across the space surrounding Venus. The planet then started to glow brightly, until it reappeared with blue skies, a large ocean, and was completely greened.

Just mere minutes had passed, and a fully habitable planet was made.

"Incredible, Pete. Do you realize what you have just done?"

"Saved Humanity from killing themselves? Yeah, I know. I'm awesome like that."

"If we can replicate this, we can make even the most inhabitable planets livable," MJ laughed.

"We'd need to build an artificial sun or set up a mirror highway to reflect the light for planets too far out from the sun," Reed spoke up.

"Actually, making a star isn't that hard for me," Peter smirked as he pulled out the Nuclear Fusion Reactor and flipped it on.

Once they saw the star being born, everyone, including Fury's jaw dropped.

"When'd you make a Fusion Reactor?" MJ's eyes sparkled as she examined the equipment, "You didn't make it with your Reality Topaz! This is made with modern tech!"

"What does she mean by Reality Topaz?" Reed asked.

"Oh, I have a stone that grants me similar abilities to warp reality. If I make tech that way, it can't be backwards engineered."

Peter created a pebble that glowed brightly, "It doesn't need physics to work, it just does. Tech I make with it can't be used for humanity to learn from and understand. There's no actual technology if I don't understand how it can be done. The gemstone will just make the object and make it work."

"Incredible, absolutely fantastic," Reed's eyes glowed as he raised the glowing pebble.

"We are going to have a long talk about this, Peter," Fury huffed.

"Hey, leave my bud alone. It's his shiny rock, he can do what he wants with it," Tony moved between them.

"You took the Infinity Stones, and now the only thing that could compete with your power is gone. I can't help but have suspicions," Fury replied.

"Would you guys chill out," Ice-Man said as he walked up with the X-Men.

"I have no doubt that Peter will use the stones responsibly. You should know better than to doubt him. I know that those words are not what you truly feel," Charles added.

"Easy for you to say, you can read minds. Even if there's 1% chance that he'd abuse them,"

"Fury, quit. I understand that the ultimate power I wield comes with the ultimate responsibility, relax a little, man, there are things in this universe much stronger than my Merlin Gemstones. So it's not like there aren't methods to stop me. I won't lose myself to power because I understand that it should never be abused. I only want to help."

"I know, kid. But there are things that can go wrong. You could be mind controlled, manipulated into using them for someone else, or just loose it. We need a contingency in case that happens."

"Sounds fair. I can appreciate the Bat Man style planning, preparing for any possible event is something I can get behind. Feel free to make any safety measures you want, but it won't be with the Infinity Stones. That's too much to ask."

"Whoa, Pete. Are you okay with that? I mean, you're talking about letting them plan to harm or kill you," MJ looked peeved.

"Sweetie, it's smart to prepare for such occurrences. We might be just the most powerful force on Earth, if something went wrong and we didn't have a plan, a lot more can go wrong. What if some villain swapped minds with me and took my body?"

MJ looked down and gripped her fists, "It doesn't make it right! You talking about making plans to bring harm to us!"

"I know it sounds crappy, but it's necessary," Peter groaned as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Seriously, I can't believe you! I thought us trusting each other was the whole point of a team! How are we supposed to trust one another if we're constantly plotting behind each other's backs?" MJ asked with a clearly frustrated expression.

"I didn't say it was nice, but it's necessary. Precautions are needed to prevent tragedies. Everyone here is capable of bringing down entire cities, and in the crazy world we live in, anything can happen."

"You know that's not the point. We're supposed to be heroes! Heroes don't do that kind of stuff."

"Bat…"

"If you say Bat Man did it, I will make you sleep on the couch for a month!" MJ stomped her foot.

"Mary, please…can we talk about this later," Peter sighed.

"Ugh!!! This isn't over!" MJ looked the other way.

Peter looked to the group and said, "Sorry about that."

"Dude, did you just have your first fight? You two never fight!" Johnny shook.

"I know it's a lot to take in, but better safe than sorry. I'm on board with whatever contingency plans Fury has."

"As much as I dislike the idea, I see its importance," Reed looked a bit sad.

"I don't think I have the guts to tell a guy to plot my possible demise," Danny shook his head.

"I'm not. Firstly, I doubt it'll ever be necessary to use the plans. Second, just like how Reality Warping should never be a power that is accepted in this universe, neither should absolute power not be under suspicion. If someone had all the stones, there would be no stopping them from breaking our reality. If think you don't need a plan for such an event, I'd think you were crazy."

"Is that why you removed Franklin's power?" Reed asked.

"Ah, you came up with a name?" MJ asked with a smile.

"Yes, we decided a while ago, Franklin Pete Richards will be his name."

"That's sweet," Tony chuckled.

"Flattering," Peter followed up.

"Is it really that bad?" Cyclops asked.

"I can literally retcon people's existences, make it so that they were never even born. These actions put a tremendous amount of strain on the fabric of our reality. However, I would never do that, the consequences are too much to bear for a single man. But a child could have a bad day and wish their daddy or mommy was never born and well, yeah, bad stuff happens."

Peter made a cube of adamantium.

"I use it for creating matter from nothing or gaining materials that are otherwise impossible to make in this universe. What I use my stones for is the knowledge to better myself, and in turn, I repay the universe by making it prosper."

Peter then looked at his hands and said, "However, I understand your concern. Should these Gemstones be used for nefarious purposes, a lot can go wrong."

Fury furrowed his brows, "And how do you suggest we stop you?"

"One Mutant would not only be able to stop me, but he could possibly kill me with ease," Peter looked at Reed.

"Do you remember a man named Owen Reece?"

"Yeah, he was an old enemy. He could manipulate inorganic matter. We trapped him in a prison years ago," Reed replied.

"Save him, save him and help him become a better man. If you can make him an ally, he should have enough power to be a good deterrent."

"How? Molecule Man is strong, but…" Johhny spoke up.

"Owen Reece is not some ordinary Mutant. He is the world's first Alpha Level Mutant. The only reason he's limited to inorganic mater is because of a mental block. He looks down on himself more than any other person in this world, so be his first to not do the same. Help him understand just how special he is. Owen can be a great force for good, but he has to be given a chance."

"Sound like more trouble than he's worth," Fury crossed his arms.

"He's worth it. He's just a guy who's in a bad place. But heroes don't just punch the bad guys, it's our responsibility to try and save their souls too." Peter looked at Charles, "Can I count on you."

"If he is a mutant, I will do my best to guide him back to the proper path."

"Thanks,"

"It won't be necessary," MJ crossed her arms, "He has me to keep him in line. Besides, Peter would never abuse his powers."

"Thanks babe," Peter gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"I'm still mad at you," MJ huffed as she looked away.

"Yeah, but you still love me," Peter smirked.

"Ugh, enough of the mushy stuff, I thought we came here to kill Nazis," Quick-Silver rolled his eyes.

"No, we came here to arrest them," Peter lifted a brow.

"You seriously think…" Magneto spoke up but Peter held his hand out and stopped him.

"I said arrest them, I didn't say not to place in prisons with the death penalty. There will be no operation paper clip on my watch. I'll buy the damn prison if I have to make sure of it."

"He…hahahahah! And what of the politicians that permitted such things in the first place? Surely you know that I would never trust such people!" Magneto made an electromagnetic charge strong enough to show lighting wrapping around his body.

"Due to the whole Nazi-A.I issue Tony ran into. I've altered the spell for every living and non-living being on earth that either supports or works for Hydra. The politicians will also be drawn into the battle. I know I can't prevent killing in this fight, but please try."

Erik looked like he was about to pop when Charles put his hand on his shoulder, "Let them pay for their crimes, old friend. Let the world see the horrors they have wrought and decide their fate, united as humans,"

"Keep in mind, there might be people down there that are being forced to work with Hydra, there are people that are brainwashed, people that have family's being held hostage, or people that have no other choice. People like your kids," Peter added.

Like a stake being driven through his heart, Magneto felt pained at the thought he might have had to kill his own children. If he had not rescued them and had Charles fix their minds, they might have ended up in the battle they planned on carrying out today.

"Anyone else have issues?"

"Couldn't we separate them?" Banner spoke up.

"We could, that's a great idea. I'll just alter the spell a bit. I throw them in a prison for now and we'll go through them later to see how we can help them. Why didn't I think of that earlier, oh wait, I did! I can't pull that off right now because doing something like that would only take a few more months or years to work out."

"He's right, what we're attempting is a very complicated spell. Targeting someone off the portals to certain peoples' ideals and something as abstract as attachments and loyalty towards a particular subject are Multiversal abilities."

"Why not use the stones?" Bruce asked.

"I am, but did you not here me speak about not abusing them. If I pulled something this big, the power needed to pull that off would result in feedback because I'm altering reality to pull them here, I might even mess up and end up summoning every being who thinks like Nazis in this universe. That's why I need the spell matrixes. To keep things like that from happening, I have to code for hours or even days to pull something this big off." Peter pinched the bridge of his nose, "Bruce, think about it like this, I'm comparing this spell to a being made by a kid that just learned to master simple addition, how long do you think I'll need to fine tune it to the point of being called something like advanced calculus?"

"Right…I think I get it now," Banner chuckled with an apologetic smile, "I mean, I guess that means I'm still a toddler learning to crawl."

"Yes, yes you are," Strange added.

"We have a list, we could read up more on our targets and transport them one by one," Scott Summers said.

"Once again, teleporting them one by one would alert the others, and I have no clue what kind of magical defenses they have. I only know that with the Merlin Stone's aid, I can brute force this. I put a lot of thought into this Scott. Trust me,"

"Just don't kill anyone. I know it'll be hard, but at least try," Peter sighed.

"Oh, and before I forget," Peter summoned another Globby clone and said, "Let your Symbiote absorb that. It'll give it an upgrade."

"Okay, so all in favor of taking down a Nazi organization before they gain more power?" MJ raised her hand as he Symbiote absorbed the blob.

The majority of the team raised their hands with only a few looking conflicted.

"I understand you all have never had to kill before, but these guys have been biding their time, building up their forces, and have technology that goes above normalcy. I've given you everything we need to take them down and even more. With the advantages I've given you, if you guys can't subdue them without killing, then why are you even heroes. Accidents are going to happen, and I don't doubt you'll make a mistake somewhere down the line, but in my opinion, better some Nazis for you to practice on than our own citizens."

Peter opened a portal and showed them to the surface and showed them all an incredible sight.

"It's so quiet," Reed took in breath of fresh air.

"It's beautiful," Bruce said.

"Dude, we have to come here for breaks," Luke threw his arm around Peter's neck.

"This is so cool, he made a whole planet!" Angel commented.

"Technically, it'd be the second," Erik said as he looked around with a smile on his face.

"How is Qavah?" MJ asked.

[A/N: Qavah is the Hebrew word for hope.]

"We've built three cities already with the aid of our fellow Meta-Humans. So, we have Qavah, Neo Arcadia, and Domum now."

Peter smiled, "Neat. You named a city after my company...I'm looking forward to a visit,"

"What are you going to do with this one," Fury lifted a brow.

"Hmm…make a resort world? Spidey World,"

"Ugh, that's so lame, Torch Land is so much better," Johnny snickered.

"Then make your own world," Peter growled.

"How about we get this show on the road, Hydra and I have unfinished business," Logan came up and cracked his knuckles.

"You're not the only one, Howlett," Peggy walked next to him.

"We can finally put an end to this nightmare," Steve smirked.

Peter nodded his head and said, "I'll make the pit of doom now."

"Pit of what?" Coulson lifted a brow.

"What, you didn't think I was just going to summon them here and we'd just wage war?"

Peter used his Geokinesis to lower the ground and covered them up in a dome made of a powerful force field. Next, he used his reality gemstone to make several turrets that fired non-lethal ammunitions like rubber bullets, nets, and low voltage electricity. He also added several sound cannons for any Symbiotes they might encounter that would fill the pit constantly. Lastly, he turned the ground around him into pure Adamantium and made enough containment cells for every last person on the list.

Rhodey whistled, "Must be at least the size of five football stadiums combined."

"There are 110,616 members of Hydra, needed enough space to hold them all," Peter laughed before saying, "When I said I put a lot of thought into this, I wasn't joking around."

"I can tell, so when do we start the fireworks," Tony equipped his bleeding edge suit.

Peter looked at Strange and MJ before they placed their hands out and formed a giant magic circle.

"Whoa, is sis going to be able to do this stuff too?" Quick Sliver asked.

"I imagine so," Erik replied.

It took a few minutes, but when the Spell Matrix was completed, Strange looked at Peter and asked, "Are you ready?"

"As ready a hot dog at my favorite vendor," Peter replied as his Space, Soul, and Reality gemstones glowed brightly.

"That made no sense." Johnny shook his head.

"I'm a little nervous," Peter huffed.
