Working Things Out

Surprised, Jack turned around to see Tyler behind him.

"You sure are persistent," Tyler said.

Although he didn't show much emotion he looked very agitated. "I believe you have something of mine,"

Jack then yelled, "I'm going back!"

Tyler stared down at him, before saying, "Fine. But!" Tyler glanced at me then looked back at Jack. "You can't leave her here for someone else to deal with. That's pretty rude."

Jack snickered, "Like, you care about being rude."

"Actually, I do. That's why I don't have other people do my work for me, or steal co-workers' things," Tyler rebutted.

Defeated, Jack pouted in silence.

"Just keep it, you'll need it to get back." He then took a moment to pause before saying, "And you!"

Tyler then stared me down, which kinda scared me.

"Don't wander too far from him. It'll make you both easier to manage."

I then nodded, nervous about speaking up to him.

"Good." He then faced the portal urging us to follow him.

I then slowly walk up to the portal, before I hear Jack's voice say,

"Don't worry I'll be right behind you." He reassured.

We then all walked through together.

Meanwhile, Allen returned to the group. Hannah and Darleen seemed to have stopped fighting, but the room still felt off. While Hannah was, in the living room, happily humming and listening to her music. Darleen was sitting at the dining table playing on her phone.

"What happened?" Allen asked Darleen. He then pulled a chair out and sat next to her.

"Nothing," Darleen spoke. Not even bothering to move her gaze from her phone.

Not accepting the answer, he asked again. Getting no reply this time.

"Do you want to talk more privately then?" Allen asked again. Giving her puppy eyes and a small pout.

"Ugg, Fine." Darleen sighed giving into his sad eyes. "But it's not important."

"Well if something is important enough to bother you, then it bothers me too." Allen insisted.

Darleen got a little flustered but agreed to go to the porch to get some privacy and some fresh air. They sat next to each other, enjoying the silence and simple breeze. By this time Tyler, Jack, and Zoria were all gone, as well as the portal.

"So what happened while I was gone?" He asked impatiently.

Hesitating, Darleen then said, "I had a panic attack because of the stupid spider, and Hannah just thought it was funny to make fun of me for it."

"I see...Well, she doesn't seem like a good friend you know." He said softly. "But, I don't mind listening to you if you have any issues, so I'm glad you let me talk to you."

"Yeah.." She then began to sniffle before adding, "Dang it, now I feel like crying again. I can't stop thinking of the stupid spider."

Allen then embraced her. Patting her back in the process.
