Prologue.

Shoto Todoroki lived a complicated life. The most eventful being his childhood- In most part of it, it was all bad memories of forced ambitions and family issues. And it was all because of his Father who was entirely obsessed of creating a prodigy who could surpass All Might and become the number 1 hero.

In his place of course.

The number 2 hero, Endeavour; the one who is stuck behind the symbol of peace, seeing their power differences and capabilities. Endeavour wasn't as genuine and passionate as All Might, that was their clear differences.

Shoto thought that by entering UA, he could prove himself to be better than his controlling father. That he could manage to be a top hero by just using his right side, that was until Izuku Midoriya during the Sports Festival. The boy with green hair and a socially awkward personality.

The one with a quirk similar to All Might's, not to mention, the number one hero and Midoriya were close- just another reason to beat him.

But when Midoriya expressed the same qualities his father lacked, Shoto could feel himself seeing a different light, making him use his left side not for his father but for himself only. It was something he soon adapted even in summer camp when he exceeded his limits.

He was finally proud to say that he was shaping up mostly as himself rather than the impassive boy he was in the first day of class. He had more control in his quirk and was known as one of the top students.

Everything was going fine. He had a fine relationship with his classmates, he had a few people whom he could call his friends, and his father was slowly changing after facing the difficulties of becoming the new number one hero (but he was still nothing compared to the former symbol of peace).

That was until he woke up in the middle of the desert. Isolated with not a single sign of human civilisation nearby. Plus, he wasn't even familiar of deserts- deserts were usually in a different country, not in the city. So how did he suddenly wake up in middle of the desert when the last time he remembered was sleeping soundly in his room-?
