After rating her cackle as if I'm a judge on American idol, she looks at me like I'm the biggest idiot she's ever seen.

"You do know you're going to die right?" She says as she stares at me like I'm a piece of trash on the side of the road.

"How would I die?" I ask as I pretending to be oblivious.

"Knife through the heart?" She says as she pulls out a hidden knife that was tied to her upper thigh.

"Ohh, that would be quick and relatively painless. I agree with your preferred choice of assassination." I nod my head in approval.

"Yeah, I enjoy the screams of my victims as much as the next assassin, but screams draw attention so I try to make it quick and painless." She says as she twirls the knife in her hand. "Well, this has been fun but it's time for you two to die now."

"Yeah, it's about time this comes to an end." I agree with a smile. "Souei, capture her and make sure she doesn't commit suicide."

Suddenly, Souei appears directly behind her and knocks her out cold. He then searches every portion of her body for any weapons or poisons. While this is happening, Aella comes walking over with a look of shame and guilt.

"I really am sorry, Syrin." She says as she looks down at the floor.

"As I said before, you are forgiven. Although, I'm still trying to come up with a good punishment for you." I say with my hand in my chin.

"Whatever it is I'll do it without fail. I was wrong and I admit that. You saved me not only once but twice now, and I thought the worst of you. I'm such a horrible person." She says as she starts to cry openly.

"Calm down. You're not that bad. Why don't you go to your room and collect yourself? I have to go and speak to your father for a moment." I say as she sniffles and wipes her tears away.

"No, this is my fault! I should be there when my father here's about this." She says and gives me the sad puppy eyes.

"Alright, you can come with me, but you have to get yourself cleaned up." I say and point to her runny makeup. "If other Nobles are in the room and see you like this, they will think your weak and we can't have that."

She easily agrees with me and Souei teleports her to her room. After she was done getting ready, all of us including the unconscious assassin maid went to the throne room. The guards let us pass easily and we walked right in. The king was on the throne along with a few Nobles lining the sides of the red carpet. A criminal was chained up in front of the throne with guards flanking either side of him. I guess the king is presiding over a criminal case.

Seeing that the king is busy with something, we walk near the Nobles and standby them patiently waiting for the trial to end. The man that is chained up is claimed to have killed a few people. Witnesses came in and gave their account and everyone said their piece. The king ended up sentencing the man to death. The evidence was overwhelming so I agree completely with his decision. After the man was dragged out of the throne room kicking and screaming, we walked up to the king and bowed. Once all of the regular pleasantries were done and over with, the king addressed the elephant in the room.

"Why have you brought an unconscious maid into the throne room?" The king asks in confusion.

"This maid is a spy that was planted in the palace. She was Princess Aellas personal maid. We caught on to her earlier today. Once Princess Aella and I confronted her, she tried to assassinate both of us." I said and the Nobles in the room gasp in shock.

The king's expression became extremely serious. A spy was so close to his daughter and he had no idea. Not only that, but his daughter that has already been through so much was almost assassinated today.

"Luckily, I always have Souei with me. He subdued her easily and we came straight here." I added and every noble in the room looked at Souei in fear.

Everyone that is informed should be very scared of Souei. He was named the strongest in the Fortis kingdom after all. Not that the Bestia kingdom doesn't have strong elders, but the strongest person from another country is living in their capital. I'm sure some of them have already lobbied for some elders to be stationed in the area. I wouldn't be surprised if they are already stationed nearby.

"Good job, Syrin. You keep saving my daughter. If this continues, I won't know how to reward you anymore." He says with a laugh.

"I don't need any reward. We'll be family soon, as long as everything goes smoothly." I say and the king nods in approval.

"We will, won't we?" He says and laughs again. "Guards take this assassin to the dungeons and start questioning her immediately!" He yells but before the guards could do anything I interrupt.

"One moment, Your Majesty." I say holding up my hand. The king motions for the guards to stop.

"What is it, Syrin?" The king asks.

"I thought we could question the prisoner here." I said and the king looks at me strangely.

"Syrin, she is most likely trained to resist questioning. We will probably have to torture her and I would rather not conduct that in the throne room." He explains as a teacher would to a student.

"I agree. Which is why I would like to test a new drug that my Duchy back in the Fortis Kingdom has been working on." I say and draw everyone's attention.

"What does this drug do?" The king asked.

"It's a truth serum. Anyone that takes it will be compelled to answer questions truthfully." I say and the king looked extremely interested.

The Nobles in the room looked interested as well, but some of them looked deathly afraid. What do you have to hide, huh? Their expressions didn't go unnoticed by the king either. I'm sure he'll be looking into them later.

"I agree completely. Feel free time to test the serum on her." He says and watches me closely.

Nodding my head I open the system and go to the search bar of the shop. I search for what I want and it appears before me.
