*yawn* Thanks... for the power stones. Going to sleep. Have a good day and enjoy the chapter.)

POV Syrin

"Do you know what's really breaking my heart right now, Aella? The fact that I thought we were at least friends. Maybe you wouldn't want to marry me, but we were still friends. I guess I was the only one that thought that way." I say as I exit the classroom.

'Souei, have a clone watch over Aella and send some others to investigate those close to her.'

'Yes, Master. I've relayed the orders to some clones. One is on route to Princess Aellas shadow, and a squad is investigating those close to her as we speak.' He replies swiftly.

'Thanks, Souei. We may or may not get married anymore, but I have a feeling she's going to get herself in trouble because of this. Let me know when that trouble happens.'

After leaving the classroom, I run into Ruby and we ride home together. She kept asking me about how I got my energy level so high. I just told her that it's probably due to how much I practiced and trained before coming here. It was a good distraction from the current predicament I found myself in. When we got to the palace, I offered to whip us up a snack in the kitchens and she agreed.

Arriving at the kitchens, I browse through the stores of ingredients the palace had stocked. Hmm, what should I make? Maybe I should make some funnel cake? It's quick and easy and it's the same recipe as pancakes. Collecting all of my needed ingredients. Which are flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, milk, egg, and butter. Ruby sat back and enjoyed the show of me cooking along with some of the chefs that weren't busy at the moment. After mixing all of the ingredients, I put the pancake mixture into an easily pourable cup and started heating a pot with a few inches of oil in it.

Once the oil is hot, I pour in the mixture in so it fries in rope-like shapes. Zigzagging the ropes to make the spidery looking funnel cake I know and love. I flip the cake and frying the other side. Once that side is done, I take it out a place it on a rack to cool. Repeat a few times and I have a bunch of perfectly cooked funnel cakes. The kitchen didn't have powdered sugar, so I had to pulverize my own. Once I was finished, Ruby and I snacked on the tasty funnel cakes. I needed this after a day like this. I haven't even married Aella yet and she's already giving me a headache. Although, I don't think it's completely her fault. She's definitely being fed information by someone that doesn't have her or the country's best interest at heart.

*sigh*

Ruby seemed to be able to sense my poor mood and offered to hang out with me today. I turned her down as I'll probably be taking care of whatever her sister got herself into. After eating my delicious food, we leave the kitchen and go our separate ways. I go to spend some time with Rem as I wait for Souei to let me know Aella's situation. Rem and I snuggled in my bed and watched a movie on a flatscreen I bought from the system. It's powered by a rechargeable electric generator. The generator can be recharged through solar energy. It cost a pretty penny but I needed some modern entertainment in my life.

Before we could get more than 15 minutes into the movie, Souei appeared and broke my snuggle time with Rem. If Rem could shoot lasers from her eyes, Souei would be full of holes right now.

"Master, Princess Aella is in a predicament as you foretold." He says as he completely ignores Rem's dissatisfied glare.

"*sigh* I hate being right all the time." Giving Rem a quick peck on the lips, I get up from the bed and turn to Souei. "Take me to her location. Make sure to hide me in the shadows when we get there."

"Yes, Master."

After a quick teleport, we appear in a hallway cloaked in shadows. Aella and the maid that I always see her with are the only people in this section of the palace. They don't seem to be friendly with one another so this must be the one that fed her the false information. Then I watch this assassin/spy/maid give a pretty weak evil villain speech. When the maid showed her real power, I could see the look of resignation appear on Aellas face. At that moment she 100% knew that she was going to die. I know that feeling well from before I transmigrated here.

"I'm sorry, Syrin. I let you down and ruined our relationship." She says and seems to mean it.

"Yes, you're going to die soon, so you should..." the maid/assassin/spy girl says but I cut her off.

"Your apology is accepted, but you haven't ruined our relationship. You just need some punishment after this situation is done and over with." I say and Souei removes the cloak of shadows that was keeping me hidden.

"S-syrin?" Aella mutters in shock at my arrival.

"Syrin Fortis, so good of you to join us! Now that you're here, I can kill two birds with one stone and slaughter you both here and now. Thank you for making my job easier on me." She says with a mad cackle.

"I give you a 6/10 rating for your earlier evil villain speech, but you get a 9/10 for that laugh you just did. Cackling is very underrated in my opinion." I say and give her a thumbs up while nodding my head in approval.
