Mutated Bones Xermo

BAM!

"WILL!"

"I'm alive," William responded. He was pushed to the back by the mutated Xermo, which allowed him to realize that the Xermo's body was not only covered with the bones but it was also strengthened greatly. It acted as the armor and managed to block all the bullets that was thrown to him.

The Xermo was throwing punch towards William just now, but William managed to block the first one and evaded the second one before rolling to the side. However, him evading resulted in the Xermo blasted through the wall, creating a hole there.

The bones gave the Xermo both great strength and also great defense.

"What should we do?"

"I'll lure it out."

"WHAT?"

William moved forward and kicked the Xermo's back as fast as possible. He wanted to attract the Mutated Bone Xermo's attention.

Roar!

Swish!

Barely evading the Mutated Bone Xermo's attack, William slipped to the door. He could sense that the Mutated Bone Xermo was angry and ready to launch another attack, so he swiftly rolled to the front.

Bam!

Another section of the wall was destroyed.

William steadied himself and made his way to the stairways. Right now, he didn't care for anything else as he only wanted to bring the Mutated Bone Xermo outside from that dark place. The two of them didn't have any advantage to fight the Mutated Bone Xermo in the place where they could barely see him.

It would be better to fight it under the light.

Roar!

The Mutated Bone Xermo stopped before the stairs and punched the ground. The force created a small earthquake in the area and nearly made William stumbled from his footings.

Swish!

He swiftly side stepped to the side when he saw a rock flew past him. The Mutated Bone Xermo didn't seem to be willing to give up as it continued to attack William, yet it didn't step forward as if knowing that if he stepped up, he would be at disadvantage.

On the back, Yakov made his way out of the room. He looked to the two figures that was fighting near the stairs. The Mutated Bone Xermo was bigger than William, which might be the result of the mutation. After all, it grew to be far more than what ordinary human would usually reach.

Or was it because he was already tall even before he changed?

Yakov didn't know and didn't really care. He raised his gun and tried to aim, but the two figures kept on moving.

Roar!

The Mutated Bone Xermo seemed to sense that Yakov was targeting him from the back, so he turned around. Roaring angrily, he rushed forward and stretched his hand to grab onto Yakov and probably turned the weak human into mincemeat.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

William took out his spare gun and shoot several times to the back of the Mutated Bone Xermo's head. He didn't know what the weakness of this mutated Xermo was because each of them would be different. However, he couldn't possibly let this Mutated Bone Xermo reached Yakov.

Yakov's physical strength was far weaker than him.

Almost at the same time, Yakov also began to shoot. Even though having backlight covering the Mutated Bone Xermo made it harder to see clearly, Yakov knew that he had to hit accurately.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Bullets rained on the Mutated Bone Xermo back and front. The two sides relentlessly shot the bullets from their gun, aiming at several parts of the Mutated Bone Xermo's body. This action stopped its movement momentarily.

William was the first one to run out of bullets.

However, the Mutated Bone Xermo didn't even turn around. It seemed to guess that he would never win if it tried to attack William first.

The moment Yakov stopped shooting, William dashed to the Mutated Bone Xermo and punched forward. Standing behind the Mutated Bone Xermo allowed him to see the back's figure. At first, he thought that it would be completely covered with smooth bones completely.

But it was wrong.

There was trace of the original spinal cord.

Human's spinal cord was fragile. Just having a slight disturbance there might cause their nerve to go wrong and possibly hinder their movements. At the same time, if a spinal cord was broken, a human might die.

William immediately punched towards the spinal cord before him. No matter what, he had to destroy it!

The Mutated Bone Xermo sensed danger and tried to stop William. It turned its body around and swung its arm but missed the target.

"SHOOT THE CENTER!"

Series of gunshots could be heard. As he was the one near the Mutated Bone Xermo, William could also hear the sound of bone cracking. He twisted his body and delivered another punch from the side before retreating.

All along, Yakov hadn't stopped shooting at all. He kept on aiming at the same spot, hoping that he would be able to bring down this damned Mutated Bone Xermo down with the bullets.

The Mutated Bone Xermo let out another roar before it fell down to the ground with a loud thud.
