COMPLEX THINGS

Kate's big day has come, the day for her to resume into Honeyland....as a boarder.

That morning Kate had a dream.....in the dream she saw herself talking to a girl, the girl had a starlike object on her head too but she seemed to be tired.

"Please I need your help join me in this battle, I can't keep up with this battle anymore" the tired girl said

"Who are you?" Kate asked

"I am Jane and I'm the only one opposing them be prepared to help, they are ready too, they have been operating wickedly and they have been gathering here.

"Why? Kate asked subconsciously

"Just prepare, for this is a SCHOOL OF BATTLE......

Kate woke up..."School of battle"she muttered to herself...."Jane"she said to herself.

Thanks Emmanuel's had their usual Sunday morning devotion, it took longer than before as they took time in praying and studying the word of God

" My dear hope you know you are an image of God"Mrs Emmanuel asked

"Yes mother" Kate replied

Mr and Mrs Emmanuel advised Kate and after they continued with their devotion, they finished with a worship solemn song and they prepared for church.

After church Mrs Emmanuel prepared a family lunch of Jollof Rice and Kabura sauce with assorted meats and minced beef.

After eating, Kate repacked her school bags and glanced through her list of things to see if she forgot anything, then they had a short prayer . She hugged her parents,her brother and then her sister and off they went to school.

Honey land high school was filled with new students. The old students resumed a week before so it was only new students that made the school busy

Kate wondered how she would live in the school, then her mind flashed back to everything that has happened to her.....the confusing dreams and the people, she hoped to find a meaning to everything

In the evening the new students settled in their new hostels and new rooms....they arranged their belongings into their cupboards. The new students were happy, most of them has already began to make friends with the old students.

Kate felt alone...she missed everyone.....her dad, her mum, Michael and most especially Yvonne her sister, they could have been discussing or better still having a night devotion or prayers, now she is in school she thought it was better to continue what she has started doing.

After setting aside her ironed uniform, she took her bible from her bag and went to receive cool breeze, after saying a quick short prayer she opened her bible to read, while reading all of a sudden it closed. Kate opened it again but it closed with force,she assumed it to be the wind then she tried opening it but it seems as though it was glued .

"In the name of Jesus,open now" Kate commanded then she tried opening it and it opened freely but the first pages were blank then it turned to normal, she continued reading her bible and after reading to her satisfaction she spent few minutes enjoying the cool breeze then she stood to go to her room but her eyes met with that of a light complexioned pretty girl , the girl looked at her as if she has seen her before, Kate on her part was wondering if the face was was familiar, she went to her bed and turned to sleep she saw the girl talking to some people bit her eyes was fixed on Kate .....

Kate knew there was something wrong somewhere. She made a short prayer to God for protection, for her hostel and her roommates then she slept in preparation for the next busy school day.

The next day Kate had her bath and quickly dressed up for school, she went out of the hostel to have a morning prayer walk. After the prayer walk while going to the dinning hall she remembered her bible, she had forgotten to take it from the window, turning to take a look she sighted a girl...she was very familiar she tried to remember where she had seem the face from but she had no idea.....looking closely she saw that she was from the dream that she saw a lot of people in cages.Something told her to ask her for her bible she thought it was foolish but she tried.

"hi please did you help me see my bible" Kate asked

"um...yes I did see a bible, are you Kate? the girl asked

"yes I am" Kate replied

"This is it " the girl said handing over the bible from her bag

"Thanks a lot, may I know your name" Kate asked

"I am Vivian,Vivy for short"The girl replied

"I am Kate"Kate said

"Nice meeting you I don't know my way around here,I am a new students"Vivian said

"Me too, but don't worry let's go we will find our way"Kate said.

The day went well for Kate and she became friends with Vivian, the next day after school she went to Vivian's class but she met her classmate and she asked her classmate about Vivian's whereabouts and the classmate replied scornfully and Kate was won if she has offended her before and Kate remembered that she was the girl that kept on looking at her on Sunday when she resumed

She felt tired and decided to go and drop her bag in the hostel before going to the dinning hall, on getting there she met it unlocked but it was looking locked from outside, she thought it was a nice opportunity and she went inside and dropped her bag on her bed then she heard strange voices in the other room and wondered who were in the hostel at that time. She tiptoed to the room and met the same girl she asked about Vivian's whereabouts from, her hair was wild she was conversing with people but surprisingly the people were unseen as Kate could only see Claire. Claire looked so engrossed in the conversation she didn't notice Kate's presence,she looked so scary .Kate could no longer look at her again,she was tensed..so tensed that her body shifted and hit the door making the door to creak making Claire to turn back but Kate ran away fearfully. Claire was angry , who had dared interrupt her conversation unfortunately she saw no one she looked all around, combed her hair, faked a smile and went to the dinning.

Kate on her part was terrified, she bumped into a girl mistakenly the she turned to apologise

" I'm sorry"Kate said

"It's fine,I'm Rebecca"the girl replied

Kate was confused, tangled in a web of confusion ,she has never been so confused....she needed to have a shower, rest then Dona rethink about everything as she bowed a heard she heard a still voice saying"I am with you"

Kate was happy and relieved to see Rebecca, she knew there was a connection between them but she didn't know how to explain it.

In the evening, while Kate was sleeping Rebecca came to wake her up for dinner, together they left to the dinning and that was they realised they've both met before and Rebecca told Kate she was going to answer all her questions later.

After they finished eating and we're coming out of the dinning they sighted Claire and her friends then Rebecca smiled

" Why are you smiling Rebecca? Kate asked confused

"You know already"Rebecca replied

" Rebecca I'm confused"Kate confessed

"About what? Rebecca asked

"About me seeing things before they happen, sometimes in my dreams and sometimes it looks like am watching a movie then it happens"Kate said with worry

"This is a gift you have I'm you it is called the gift of seeing or rather the gift of vision. God gave you this gift and the reason you have this gift is to use it in alignment with God's plan for you. Whenever you see things you have to act quick and before you act ask the Holy Spirit for guidance"Rebecca replied

"Now I think I'm beginning to understand"Kate muttered slowly nodding her head
