Test Start!

Everyone was now lined up at Beacon Cliff and they were overlooking a forest.

There were several students, all of them were the ones that was recently enrolled, and they are standing on silver tiles in front of a mug-holding Professor Ozpin and Glynda with her Scroll.

Jin was in between his twin sister and Jaune, he wore a smiling look of confidence on his face.

"For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest." Ozpin said before Glynda steps forward and spoke next.

"Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of 'teams'. Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates.....today."

"What?! Ohhh..." Ruby blurted out in shock while Jin narrowed his eyes.

"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well." Ozpin said which made Ruby loudly groan.

But he ignored it as he continued, "That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years."

The moment he spoke those words, Ruby felt like the world has shattered, "Whaaaat?!"

"Ruby, calm down." Jin said as he crossed his arms.

'I just wonder who, I can work with anyone. Even if they're complete apes and morons, I can just carry their asses and 1 v 3.'

"See, I told you!" Nora said to Ren, who was just besides her.

"After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path.....or you will die." Ozpin said with a serious tone in the end.

"Well this is what we sign up for anyway." Jin muttered under his breath as he rolled his eyes at the obvious thing about the test.

Jaune just laughs nervously and then gulps loudly as Ozpin continued in his instructions.

'Seems simple, but I bet it's harder than it sounds. Also, how are we going to go to the forest from here?' Jaune thought.

"You will be monitored and graded through the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. We will reguard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately."

"Now, are there any questions?"

"Yeah, um, sir?" Jaune asked as he raised his hand but Ozpin ignored him and then spoke up.

"Good! Now, take your positions."

Everyone then goes on a pose on their tile. Nora crouches low, Ren takes out his weapons, Yang raises her fists, Ruby readies her body, Jin crouches in a jumping position as he was planning to jump along with the tile as it launches him off, and Jaune was still raising his hand.

"Uh, sir? I've got, um.....a question." Jaune said in a nervous tone as he continues.

"So, this landing, strategy thing.....Uh, wha-what is it? You're like, dropping us off or something?"

While Jaune was asking some questions, Weiss was launched off into the air, followed by another student and so forth in every couple of seconds.

"No. You will be falling." Ozpin answered.

"So you mean to tell us, that you plan to catapult us into a monster infested forest with a high chance of us dying, make us collect some relics in an abandoned temple, and take the said relics back to you guys without being killed, while working with a partner we may or may not know anything about?"

"That's pretty much the gist of it," Ozpin nodded.

"Don't worry, Jaune. I know you can do it." Jin said as he patted his friend's shoulder in assurance.

"Now, is there anything else you'd like to ask?" Ozpin said.

Jaune just had a nervous smile, "Oh, uh, haha.....So like, did you hand out parachutes for us?"

"No. You will be using your own landing strategy."

"Uh-huh.....Yeah."

At her turn, Yang winks at her siblings and puts on her aviators glasses before she flies off with a "Woo-hoooooooo!"

Ruby then joins her and in the next two seconds, Jin then joins the duo as theh were launched flying into the air by the tiles.

"So, um, what exactly is a landing strateeeeeeeggyy?!!"

Jaune was suddenly send flying off into the distance before he could finish.

Glynda and Ozpin turned to see the students they launched fall into the Emerald Forest. Ozpin then smiled as he focused on watching a particular student fly in the air and took a sip of his drink.

Glynda then approached him, "Sir, are you perhaps seeing something special on that young man?"

Ozpin slightly chuckled, "Indeed."

He then took a sip of his drink before continuing, "If I remember his transcript right, Jin Rose made a pair of silver gauntlets in Signal Academy as his weapon. But when I looked at him, I believe that he isn't wearing those gauntlets right now. The ones he's currently wearing looked completely different from the ones I've seen in his transcript."

Glynda frowned, "So he's not equipped with a proper weapon?"

"Yes, yes he isn't. But you need not worry about him, you already know the full extent of his abilities. He definitely won't have any problems.

*Caw*.......*Caw*.......*Ca-SQUAK!*

"BIRDY, NO!"

'What are the odds of that happening?' Jin thought as he saw his twin sister, that was on a distance away in front him, fly right into a random bird.

He flew into the air for a few seconds, as he started to lose altitude and was nearing the ground, he didn't try to find some branches or anything to use to soften his landing.

Instead, he just channeled some of his Aura to his feet, causing them to glow silver for a moment, he just decided to straight-up crash into the ground with his legs. A few seconds later, he then did a superhero landing with a big boom, leaving a large crater on his landing spot.

Jin looked around and saw that no one was here, "Well, time to find a partner."

He then began wandering through the forest with a normal running speed as he was carefully scanning every area for other people, hoping to find a good partner.

His first objective was to find himself a partner before heading towards the temple. After a while, he heard some rustling in the bushes nearby and he quickly turns and stops.

Jin was about to call out, but then a wild Beowolf jumped out. The Grimm let out a howl before it charges towards Jin.

Beowolves were large, dark and had a wolf-like body. They had bone-like masks with red markings like any createds of Grimm, as well as having bone-like spikes protrusing from their arms, back, and knees. Their hands and feet are also tipped with long and sharp white claws. They also stand on their hind legs, albeit with a slouch, and are extremely muscular.

But before the Grimm could gnaw on some human flesh, its body suddenly exploded with a loud boom and Jin was currently seen in a casual punching pose. Another Beowolf jumped from behind him, but again, its body exploded with a loud boom in mid-air.

This time, a pack of seven Beowolves was charging towards Jin and they all pounced at him from all directions, but the man himself wasn't afraid.

After turning into a blur, Jin proceeeded to pummel the low-class Grimms down with a single hit, making a huge parts of their bodies blown away from impact and sending Grimm guts and body parts flying everywhere.

"Hm?"

Jin then sensed some movements on the a big bush in front of him, and in that bush, came out an Alpha Beowolf, who was twice the size of the normal ones and had more bony spikes and armors.

The Alpha Beowolf howled before it charged and pounced at him, and Jin just did an imperceptible punch.

The Grimm's head then exploded like a watermelon and slumps lifelessly to the ground, while Jin just walked passed its corpse with an indifferent look.

"Fighting low-class Grimms are boring. But I bet the other students would have some difficulty in dealing sn Alpha Beowolf."
