First Night in Beacon

The day quickly passed by, and night time soon came to Beacon Academy.

Before going into the ballroom with his sisters, Jin came up to the changing room with Jaune in order to change their clothes into their sleeping wears. And a few seconds later...

"Oh, you are NOT wearing that." Jin protested as Jaune stepped out of the changing room and was now wearing some blue footy pajamas.

"What? They're comfortable." Jaune replied while touching his comfy elastic PJ's.

"Yeah, they'll also get you made fun of, bullied, and be tormented for a long time. Here, put these on."

Jin tossed him some blue short pajama pants and a plain white shirt. Jin himself was wearing a plain dark red shirt and black sweatpants.

Jaune catched his newly given clothes and he checked them out, "I guess these do look a bit less…..What's the word I'm looking for?"

"Childlike? Stupid? Weird?" Jin made a few guesses.

"Ridiculous?" Another boy suddenly said from behind Jaune.

Jin looked over and noticed a boy that seems to be Asian, he has a long black hair tied into a ponytail that ends midway down to his back. There is also a magenta streak on the left side of his hair. He was also wearing some green pajamas.

Jaune turned around and he also saw the boy, "Yeah, thanks I guess..."

"Ren. My name is Lie Ren. It's nice to meet you."

"I'm Jaune. Nice to meet you too."

"Jin Rose. I'm guessing you're a first year too."

'I didn't expect to meet him here, right now...' Jin thought.

"Yes. Yes I am." Ren said.

The blond boy then did a quick change of clothes before the three of them walked out of the changing room's together.

"So, did you come here alone or do you have friends when you came here?" Jaune asked.

Ren smiled, "Well, I do have my friend-.."

"NORA!" A bubbly orange haired girl wearing some pink pajamas popped out of nowhere, making Jaune jump back in fright.

Jin then looked at Ren, "I'm guessing that's Nora."

"Yes, yes it is." The magenta eyed guy said back.

"Nora Valkyrie's the name! And as you all know, this is my best friend Lie Ren, and we're together! Well, not together, together, hehe. We just came to Beacon together and-.."

"Nora..." Ren stopped her.

"Yes?" Nora asked as she looks at him. Ren just shook his head and Nora nodded at him before she looks at Jin, who had an amused look on his face.

"Well, aren't you a happy-go-lucky one. Good for you to stay relaxed in your missions." Jin said with a small smile.

Nora had a huge grin while Ren just smiled at hearing this

"So, who are you guys?" Nora asked cheerfully.

"Hi, I'm Jaune."

Following his words, he then reached out his hand to Nora for a handshake, to which he soon regretted as the orange haired girl violently shook his entire body when she accepted his hand.

"Ow..."

"I'm Jin.....I won't shake your hand by the way."

"Alrighty then!" Nora said with a smile on her face.

"Well, have fun with these two Jaune. I'm gonna go back to Ruby and Yang." Jin said as he quickly dashed off, leaving only a cloud of dust and a trace of red electricity before Jaune could say anything.

"Who's Yang and Ruby?" Nora asked.

.....

In the ballroom, every freshman students can be found wearing their own sleeping wear, as well as sleeping bags being splayed all over the place.

Ruby was wearing her pajamas, which consisted of a black tank top featuring a heart-shaped Beowolf design on the chest and long white pants decorated with pink roses. Her head also has a black sleeping mask that she has yet to properly wear.

She was laying on her own sleeping bag as she was writing something on her journal.

"It's like a big slumber party!" Yang called out as she crashes into her sleeping bag, that was just right next to Ruby.

Right now, she was wearing her pajama's that consisted of an orange tank top with her burning heart emblem on front, and brown shorts.

"I don't think Dad would approve of all the boys, though." Ruby replied as she continues to write on her journal.

"I know I do." Yang then purred as she stared off to some muscular and shirtless guys on the other side that messing around.

She then frowned for not seeing a certain someone, 'Where the heck is my handsome and hot little brother?'

Yang basically didn't bat an eye to the 'lesser' guys anymore as her lilac eyes wandered to look for someone, until she managed to finally spot her target.

"Ah, there you are Jin!" Yang waved her arms at the approaching boy.

The perverted elder sister then gazed at her own brother's perfect male body. It was quite visible, as Jin was wearing a shirt that could still let others see the outlines of his well-toned abs and muscles.

She also liked the sight of his strong chest and well-defined muscular arms. Jin liked to wear long-sleeved clothes in day-time, so Yang had to savor the sight of his nice biceps, triceps and arms right now.

It was all just in the perfect volume, not to excessive and not to little, it was quite of a feast for the eyes of women.

Yang couldn't help but put on a pleasured smile, 'There it is, now that's the stuff. 1,000,000/10, as always little bro. Rawwrrr.'

"Well you guys seem busy." Jin said as he threw down his stuff and laid out his own sleeping bag besides her.

Yang then notices Jaune, far from behind her brother, and was walking by with a black haired boy and an orange haired girl in tow. The scene weirded her out, not because of his new companions, but because of what he was wearing.

"I thought he was the kind of guy that would wear some footy pajamas, or something dumb like that." Yang scratched her head.

'He really owes me one.' Jin thought while smiling.

"So what're you up to, Ruby?" The male twin asked the female one.

"Just writing a letter back to the gang at Signal. I promised to tell them all about Beacon and how things are going."

"Awww, that's so cuuuute-Poofph!" Yang said in a teasing tone before being knocked back as a pillow was thrown at her face.

"Shut up! I didn't get to take my friends with me to school like you two did! It's weird not knowing anyone here!"

"Hey, why am I included there? I also don't know anyone from here..." Jin asked while furrowing his brows.

'Well, I kinda do. But at least I didn't meet some of them yet...' He thought.

"I mean, my friends from Signal." Ruby clarified.

Yang then tried to make her sister feel better, "Ruby, you have friends. What about Jaune? He's nice. See, that's plus one friend and a hundred percent increase."

"I'm pretty sure Weiss counts as a negative friend. Back to zero..." Ruby lamented as she rolled and lied on her back.

"Aww Rubes. You just have one friend and one enemy." Yang said while still peppy, until her sister threw another pillow at her face. But, Yang still pressed onwards.

"Look, It's only been one day. Trust me, you have friends all around you. You just haven't meet them yet."

The siblings then heard a match being ignited, they looked at the source and they saw a bow-wearing, black haired girl with dress pajamas, and was sitting with her back against a wall. She was alsp reading a book while a candle was right next to her.

"That girl…" Ruby muttered.

Yang managed to hear it and she asked, "You know her?"

"Simply put, she was the one who shoo-ed Weiss away when Ruby exploded." Jin said with a smile.

"Ugh, she also left before I could say anything." Ruby added as she groaned. She was not pleased in how her brother reminded her of that.

Yang then stood up at an idea and she grabbed her sister's arm, "Well, now's your chance!"

"Wait! What are you doing?!" Ruby whined out loud as she struggled against Yang, who tried to make her stand up.

Picking up on Yang's idea, Jin helped in pulling Ruby up by grabbing her other arm. The shortest sibling couldn't put up a fight and she was forcefully dragged over to the reading girl while letting out some struggling noises.

And a few seconds later...

"Hellooo!" Yang bellowed over to the girl while waving her arms in greetings.

The siblings then stopped in front of the girl and they pushed the shortest one at the front. Yang then putted an arm on Ruby's shoulder and she looked at the reading girl.

"I believe you two may know each other."

The girl slightly lowered her book and she looked up at the siblings. She then took a glance at the shortest one and said.

"Aren't you the girl who exploded?"

'Great, that's what I'm known for.' Ruby thought in misery.

"Uhh...haha...yeah...My name's Ruby..." The little red awkwardly said as she extended her hand for a handshake.

But the bow-wearing girl didn't seem to be interested on accepting it, making Ruby almost die from being embarassed and while having a look like she was dead inside.

'I have the worst siblings ever...How could you put me through this...' Ruby could only silently cry and mentally curse at her siblings.

She then awkwardly pulls her hand out as she really tried to make herself sound like she was fine, "Ok...but you can call me crater…..You know what, just call me Ruby."

"Okay..." The girl said while already resuming on reading her book.

Yang found her sister's interactions with the girl so bad, so she called out in a whispering tone, "What are you doing?! That's not how you make friends!"

"I don't know, help me! Your the one who brought me into this!" Ruby whispered back.

The elder sister just rolled her eyes before both of them turned back to the girl with smiling faces.

"Soo, what's your name?" Yang asked.

The girl just sighed, she was irritated at being interrupted again but still answered nonetheless, "Blake."

Yang smiled, "Well Blake, I'm Yang, Ruby's older sister!" She then putted an arm around the boy besides her, "This here is Jin, my little brother!"

"I'm older than him by the way...hehe...and we're twins..." Ruby sheepishly blurted out.

This time, Blake took a moment to stop reading her book and she actually looked up before smiling at the sight of Jin, "Nice to meet you."

She was even slightly blushing at the sight of such a handsome man, but the darkness didn't made it visible for the others in front of her.

Jin also smiled, "Nice to meet you too, beautiful."

Blake was slightly flustered at his compliment, but she didn't show it and immediately got back on reading her book.

"Umm...I like your bow!" Yang suddenly spoke out.

"Thanks…" Blake tersely replied.

"It goes great with your.…pajamas!"

"Right…"

The sister's then looked at each other with fake laughs, this girl wasn't interested in talking at all. She was quite of an anti-social individual.

But Yang tried one more time, "Nice night, don't you think?"

Blake was fed up with her persistence and she was annoyed, "Yes, it's lovely. Almost as lovely as this book."

The two just stood there, not sure what to do and was making some awkward smiles.

"That I will continue to read." Blake continued on.

They still didn't move. They could only do some fake laughs and smile just to not make the atmosphere too awkward and weird.

"As soon as you leave!" She finished with a glare.

Yang was finally done with this. This girl really didn't want to make friends and she wanted them to just leave her alone.

But if she really thought about it, they were kinda disturbing Blake.

"Yeah, this girl's a lost cause." The elder sister muttered.

"What's it about?" Ruby suddenly asked with geniuine curiousity.

Blake looked up in surprise, "Huh?"

"Your book.." Ruby clarified, "Does it have a name?"

"W-Well...I-It's about a man that has a sentient, talking, demonic weapon, going out to the world and...doing some adventures."

"Oh yeah, that sounds really lovely..." Yang commented sarcastically.

"Yang, be nice." Jin elbowed at his sister, making her put her hands up in surrender.

Meanwhile, Ruby spoke up, "I love books. Yang used to read to me every night before bed. Stories of heroes and monsters...they're one of the reasons I want to be a Huntress."

"Yeah, unlike SOMEONE who didn't wanna listen." Yang muttered as she gave a small glare to her brother.

"Why would I listen to those? You would always add in fillers to those stories, and your were so bad at telling them. Horrible performance and a more horrible teller."

Yang was annoyed at his remark and she furiously pointed a finger at him, "Why you...! That's it! C'mere! I'm gonna to teach you how to respect your big sister!"

Blake laughed a little at their antics before turning back to Ruby, "And why's that? Hoping you'll live happily ever after?"

Ruby nodded, "Well, I'm hoping we all will. As a girl, I wanted to be just like those heroes in the books, someone who fought for what was right and protected people who can't protect themselves."

Blake looked at her with a smile, "That's...very ambitious for a child." But her smile then turned to a frown, "Unfortunately, the real world isn't the same as a fairy tale."

Ruby smiled, "Well, that's why we're here. To make it better."

Yang couldn't resist the urge, so she ran up, bear hugged a struggling Ruby, and lifted her into the air before saying in a teasing tone.

"Ohhh, I'm so proud of my baby sister!"

"Cut it out!" Ruby yelled before punching her sister.

That punch triggered a fight between the two. They were wrestling with each other on the floor as a comical dust cloud covered them in the process.

"Does this happen a lot?" Blake asked, pointing at the quarreling sisters.

"More than you think." Jin sighed as he looked at the girls.

Blake let out a small laugh at the sight, "Well, Ruby, Yang, Jin. it was-.."

"What in the world is going on over here?!" A familiar voice lowly yelled.

The four of them turned to the source, only to see Weiss storming towards them in a blue nightgown and her hair let down.

"Don't you realize that people are trying to get some sleep?!" Weiss lowly roared before she and Yang locked eyes.

"OH, NOT YOU AGAIN!" Both of them yelled out loud.

Jin just sighed at the scene as a stuck up heiress and his rowdy sister began arguing, with Ruby desperately trying to stop them.

"I gotta go to bed. I have habit of waking up really early sometimes, so I want to get as much sleep as I can."

He then offered his hand to Blake, "It was nice meeting you, Blake. Good luck on tomorrow's initiation."

Blake smiled as she shook Jin's hand, "Likewise. Have a good night."

"Oyasumikiti." (Good night, kitty)

With that, Jin smiled before he turned to leave for his sleeping bag and got ready to sleep, leaving behind a confused Blake, wondering what he said. She didn't recognize what language he just spoke, so she just assumed he must've said good night to her.

"When will they ever shut up?" Jin sighed as he covered his ears with his pillow. He could still hear the three girls bickering.

"It doesn't seem like they'll stop soon." A girl suddenly said nearby.

Jin rolled over and he saw a certain red haired girl wearing some red pajamas lying next to him.

"Oh.....Hi." Jin said as he gestured his hand in greetings.

"Hello, I'm Pyrrha."

"The name's Jin."

"Nice to meet you, Jin." The girl named Pyrrha smiled.

"You too.....Sooo, why are you over here?"

"Oh.....I'm sorry." The red headed girl looked dejected and she was about to turn away.

Seeing this, Jin immediately called out, "No, I didn't mean it like that. It's fine that you're here, just why besides me?"

"Well, you're not the only one disturbed by those...girls." She then took a glance at the arguing trio before looking back at him.

"Plus, you looked easy to talk to."

Jin smiled, "Well, we gotta somehow make some new friends in this school. So thanks, I guess."

"You're welcome." Pyrrha said with a smile.

She then looked at the loud bunch again, "Oh and by the way, those are your sisters, right?"

Jin just sighed in embarassment, "Two of them, except the white haired princess."

"So.....what do you think the initiation will be like?" Pyrrha asked.

"Probably something with being dropped into a forest filled with Grimms and having to fight our way back."

"Sounds like something they'd do."

"Well, we are here to become hunters. We're bound to fight them anyway."

Pyrrha became silent for a moment before speaking up again.

"So, do you have any plans for your teams?" She asked.

"Not really. I'll just leave it for fate to decide. I can work with anyone, really." Jin said as he turned and lied on his back.

"That was my plan too."

As Pyrrha and Jin were having some small talks, the three girls were still loudly bickering.

Looking back at the arguing girls, Blake sighed before blowing her candles out, enveloping the entire room in darkness.

"Ah.." The three girls were surprised.

Not wasting any time, Jin quickly called them out, "That's your cue to go to sleep, you troublemakers."

"I guess this goes the same for us. Goodnight Jin." Pyrrha said.

"Night Pyrrha. Hopefully you'll end up on a good team tomorrow."

While on the other side, Blake already lied on to her sleeping bag, "Ruby, Yang, it was a pleasure meeting you. Now, I'll see you later."

"I'm sorry, Weiss. I didn't mean to wake you up." Ruby apologized, but Weiss just held up a palm.

"Don't even bother, you dunce! Just be more careful!" She lectured Ruby, then stormed off.

Yang wrapped her arm around Ruby's shoulder in consolation, "Don't worry about her, Ruby. I'm sure you'll have some new friends tomorrow."

Ruby just brushed her arm loose, and turned to her, "I wish...." She said sadly before trudging back to her sleeping bag.

Jin didn't care anymore and just closed his eyes and began to drift off to sleep. He then felt Ruby and Yang finally lay down on their beds.

"Goodnight guys." Jin quietly said.

"Goodnight." They said together.

"Goodnight Jin, wherever you are!" Nora suddenly yelled out from a distance.

This just made the man himself sigh, and Pyrrha giggled a little before she went back to sleep.
