Chapter 224: RWBY Prime—Hero from Another World (10)

~Third POV~

Tyrian is standing among the crowd at Robyn's party, with the hood of his jacket obscuring his face as Robyn walks past on the stage with him chuckling to Watts, "Always."

Penny cheerfully salutes Ruby, who grins at her with Robyn mumbling to herself, "The polls are about to close. Twelve, eleven…"

Penny looks over at Robyn, while the crowd carries on the countdown…

"Ten…"

"Nine…"

"Eight…"

Ruby notices Tyrian's prosthetic tail slithers out from the crowd as he begins walking away. Ruby moves and leans into the crowd to look for the owner of the robotic scorpion tail, her eyes widening in panic.

Tyrian chuckles maniacally and looks at Ruby's frightened expression on her face.

"Seven…"

"Six…"

"Five…"

"Four…"

"Three—"

Ruby gasps and reaches out toward the stage trying to catch Tyrian out loud, "Watch out!"

*Zzzz*

Ren opens his eyes and looks in Ruby's direction. All power in the building shuts off. The crowd murmurs in confusion.

May and Joanna are leaning against the wall opposite from the stage, looking up at the lights. Ren and Nora hold onto each other, looking around with confusion and worry.

Watts merely smirks over inside his hiding place commanding Tyrian, "Go."

Watts swipes his hand across his Scrolls, lighting up their screens….

*Thud*

*Splash*

"AHHH!!"

Robyn drops the microphone onto the stage, and there is a faint sound of blood spatter, followed by a woman screaming. In a panic, someone elbows Ruby, knocking her down and causing her to hit her head on the side of the stage.

Tyrian begins swiftly moving through the crowd, kicking people's legs from under them and slashing them with his blades.

He stabs one person in the torso and continues his rampage, running and spinning through the air as Marrow over communicator asks what's going on, "Penny, what's going on over there?"

*Click*

Penny activates her night vision and looks at Ruby, who is sitting with her back against the stage, trying not to be trampled. Penny turns and looks at the main area of the building, to see Tyrian slash another civilian with his weapon and then impale yet another with his stinger.

He drops the civilian and straightens up, licking his lips. Penny draws her Floating Array and points the blades at Tyrian with a determined expression on her face, "Put down your weapon and surrender!"

Tyrian looks at her and then vanishes into the crowd as two civilians run past them. Penny looks around for him.

Watts continues waving his hands around, while his screen shows recorded video of Penny fighting Sabyrs, live footage of Tyrian attacking the partygoers, and 3D models of Tyrian and Penny.

As he moves his hands, the Tyrian model and the real Tyrian in the live footage each gain a cyan outline. Shortly after, the Penny model and the real Penny in the recorded video gain cyan outlines, as well.

Watts merely smiled seeing his former college daughter become a murderer excites him…

Watts gestures to a Scroll that is showing Mantle's election map, causing the colors to change in Jacques' favor.

He swipes his hand across other Scrolls, causing their screens to light up talking to himself, "There you go, Schnee. I hope it's everything you asked for and more… Hehehe."

Marrow over communicator begins to call for backup, "This is Ace Operative Marrow, requesting immediate assistance!"

Robyn and Fiona stand back to back on the stage, weapons drawn with Robyn commanding her group, "Huntresses, to me!"

Fiona looks back at Robyn, unaware that Tyrian has ascended the stairs and begun running toward her on the stage with Fiona speaking out, "Come on, we've gotta get you outta here!"

She turns and looks just in time to see Tyrian charging toward her. His right arm begins glowing purple with Aura, and his eyes glow purple, as well. He drags his fingers across her stomach and side, causing her Aura to dissipate from that area as if he ripped it open.

*Shiii*

*Shing*

Immediately afterward, he swings his left arm, cutting Fiona with his weapon. Fiona cries out in pain and drops to her knees, while Tyrian leaps over her and Robyn. Hearing Fiona's scream, Penny turns to the stage.

"AHH!"

"Robyn!"

Penny activates her jets and flies toward the stage. Tyrian rises up behind Robyn, giggling to himself, and Penny tackles Robyn out of the way.

Tyrian leaps up into the air. Robyn gasps and turns over onto her back, aiming her weapon at Penny, who slowly levitates her swords around her and scans the area for Tyrian. On a beam above the stage, Tyrian watches her as he grins happily at this, "Right on time."

Tyrian leaps away, and the power comes back on, momentarily blinding Robyn. Once her eyes adjust, Robyn sees Penny standing in front of her with swords drawn.

Penny looks around, upset and confused. Behind her, the giant screen displays a photograph of Jacques, with the word 'VICTORY!' below it as the Newscaster began to speak out, "And the winner of the Atlas Council election is… Jacques Schnee!"

Penny stares out at the bloodied civilians lying on the floor in clear shock as madness soon took over the rest of the crowd is standing back from the massacre, crying and yelling hysterically about what happened.

Ruby looks around at the scene in horror, while Marrow looks at the bodies in shock. One of the citizens, who is putting pressure on a fallen civilian's wound, points at Penny.

"Ahh!"

"Runaway!"

"Mom! What happened to my Mom!"

"Shit fuck this!"

"It's Ironwood's robot!"

"Fucking Atlas bastards!"

Penny turns to see Robyn staring at her with distrust. Penny folds her swords and puts them away trying to defend herself, "I... I didn't."

The screen begins displaying live footage of Jacques standing at a podium in front of the Schnee manor speaking in complete victory, "Oho, thank you, everyone, thank you. It's all because of you. It's a new day in Atlas. We won, we did it! And as the newest member of the Council, I pledge to serve each and every citizen of Mantle and Atlas."

Ruby climbs onto the stage, runs over to Fiona, and puts pressure on the wound, Robyn watching her as she does so.

Robyn glares at Penny and growls angrily. Ren and Nora run over and climb onto the stage questioning what's going on, "What happened?"

Ruby then began to explain to them that one of Salem's pawns came identifying the one who did it, "It was Tyrian! Tyrian's here!"

Ren draws his guns and deploys their blades, and Marrow climbs onto the stage. May, Joanna, and the rest of the crowd charge toward the stage. Marrow points at them using his Semblance right away as the crowd slows to a stop., "Stay! Get Penny out the back, now!"

Nora encourages Penny to go backstage with her, and Ren follows them. Robyn aims her weapon at them the whole time, then folds the crossbow away once they are gone.

She gets up, hurries over to Fiona, shoves Ruby away, and begins applying pressure to the wound Fiona speaks out slowly not to hurt herself anymore, "I-I'm okay, I'm okay."

Marrow stops holding his pose and approaches Robyn and Fiona trying to apologize to them about the sudden attack, "I-I'm sorry. Is she—"

*Pew*

*Bang*

He reaches toward them, and a crossbow bolt just barely misses his hand. Joanna glares with her weapon aimed at him.

Ruby runs over to Marrow and begins tugging on his arm to get him to follow her backstage. He continues reaching out to Robyn trying to defend themselves, "This wasn't us, I swear."

He and Ruby run backstage. Robyn glares at them as they leave…

Watts watches a video on his screen titled MNTL_SECURITYCAM_PENNY_001.

The video depicts Penny standing among the party-goers, swinging her swords at them as Watts compliments his ally work, "Fine work, Tyrian. I think we are done for tonight."

He taps the large 'UPLOAD' button, and then the screen fades away. He picks up his bag and his personal Scroll and turns away, tossing his Scroll into the air.

His Scroll collapses, showing his W emblem, and he catches it, smirking –

However, something caught his immediate attention when he noticed something surprising seeing the CCT signals activate within his control in surprise evident in his tone, "What? That should be impossible all the communications of the CCT should be offline –"

That was when Watt's eyes widen thinking of only one or two possibilities to happen to talk to himself, "Either Vale somehow got a new CCT from right under our Vale Council Members spies or… they somehow fixed the old one…"

Twitching his mustache at this narrowing his eyes and seeing the signal he began to work it out talking to himself, "Hmph. We don't really need everyone in Remnant to talk to Atlas and Mantle. At the very least I can disable the CCT from here in Atlas forcibly turning off any communications outside."

While doing so a thought did cross his mind narrowing his eyes at the screens in the curiosity of the sudden messages, 'Still… how did it become fixed under my nose? Was it planned days? Months? No, the spies would've informed Mistress but for now, I should focus on my objective. Not like this little incident would cause a change of what's going to happen next…'

As Watts does so the brief moment with the time opening for all connection data to be received was enough for those who use them to get the idea of what's going on right away…

After working nonstop fixing the CCT again Jack managed to get it up and running soon enough having added the Arc Reactor seeing some signal being worked again for a brief moment as Jack began to see his Scroll, "Hmm… seems like I'm able to get the power working again. The CCT should be working if the person inside the tower could contact someone. Let's see…"

Typing away as a majority of Clones began to work on fixing the inner systems of the CCT adding his Arc Reactor energy core inside the power source while rewiring the systems a bit the original was busy trying to fix the connection inside the CCT.

Typing away searching for any video feeds to see what he could do tapping away and saw some signal bar show inside as he talks to himself, "Hmm… seems like only the inside the CCT are working right now. Let's see what kind of info I can get from here."

Injecting his aura to activate <Technopathy> inside the internet with the Kingdoms briefly being connected his eyes widen at only updates happening in Atlas and Mantle situation as his eyes turned angry seeing what's happening.

Glynda around him soon noticed the expression changing with the anger being evident shown on his face not telling a good sign as she asked, "Jack what's happening? What managed you – "

Before she could continue the CCT suddenly got shut down by force thanks to Watts turning off the one on Atlas and Mantle with Jack speaking to Glynda, "Glynda it worked for a brief moment but… Salem's pawned turned off the CCT in Atlas and Mantle making any communication unusable to Atlas since it's turned off. Vacuo, and Mistral we can speak but whatever is happening in Atlas… Salem's targeting it next."

Glynda's eyes widen at the sudden info of what's going to happen to Atlas with Jack thinking to himself calmly, 'And seeing that Penny or fake cut off the people there… I can assume we have about today and tomorrow before Salem takes her forces to attack Atlas. Today and tomorrow to get to the Atlas Kingdom. Tch. Talk about bad timing…'

However, unaware Jack wasn't the only one to know this as Penny walking with her group gasped in shock since she is connected to the CCT by her programming she also has access to any info provided by them getting reactions from Penny and Pyrrha with her as Oobleck, Port, and Tai split off taking care of Grimm to get a place to sleep for the night to make a basecamp.

The brief moment for her to be connected again suddenly also allowed her to be updated on the current events happening in Atlas as Ruby gazes at Penny worriedly, "Penny what's wrong? Did something happen?"

Penny could only gaze at her friends before beginning to explain what's happening in Atlas and Mantle at the current times…
