"That kind of man deserved to be put behind the bar. I will need more info about him so as to Investigate and get evidences against him" I said over the phone as I parked my car in front of Evelyn's apartment. 

"Sure, I will. I will handle it" I assured before hanging up. what kind of man did that to a family? I will investigate throughly and bring him to justice no matter what. 

Turning my head to the car's seat beside me. I grabbed the small box of gift I prepared for Evelyn. She had been too busy at work lately that she barely find time to come to my house and then I decided to surprise her today. 

With a smile, I got down from the car holding the small wrapped box. I made my way to the stairway in front of her apartment, raising my hand to ring the dooralarm but stopped when I heard a loud voices arguing. 

"Mom! Can you please stop being pain in my ass?" Fine, I will get marry but I still have a lot to do, You don't even know anything, do you?" I heard Evelyn's loud voice and I was surprised at her words "marry?" "Mom? " Is her mother in? 

"Really? Pain in ass! Who is the guy?" I heard a voice followed and one mind is telling me it could be her mother. 

"Mom! " Evelyn groaned and that is when I picked up that I was supposed to knock but here I am standing and listening to their arguement. I rang the bell and silent follows immediately. I waited patiently for rhe door to be answered. 

The door opened grumpily and my feet become cold immediately a woman I assumed to be Evelyn's mother opened

the door.

"Mom" I look at Evelyn behind her and she gave me this look I couldn't understand.

"Good… good evening ma'am" I shuttered and the woman scoffed "so you are the one, Evelyn, he is the one right?" She turned to Evelyn while Eve folded her arm and sighed "mom, please" 

The woman turned back to face me "and you, what is keeping you from marrying my daughter already? Or are you here to play her heart? " Her cold voice almost make me to lose my tongue but I had to summoned up my courage.

"No, no ma'am, I love her" 

"You love her and why haven't you propose to her already?" She snapped, my eyes slowly moved to Evelyn. Why is her mother kinda harsh? 

"I… I.. " Before I could say a word she snapped "You two are getting married this month final!" 

What? This month?? 

VINCENT. 

"Wow, I love this place" I watched Annie rushed inside while I held Skylar's hand as we hopped down from the car. 

"I thought you said Apartment Vincent,rhis is more than a apartment" She mumbled looking up at the beautiful building before us. 

"You like it? " I smirked and she exclaimed "of course, why not?" 

"Okay, come on, let's go inside" I held her hand and she smile. 

"Uncle Vincent, this is so beautiful! Annie giggled as she touched the flower vase. I chuckled as we walked inside. 

" So, you will be living here from now on and I will protect you" I assured swevieling my head to Skykar and she nod. 

"Thank you so much Uncle!" Annie exclaimed clasping her hand together in joy. 

"So Boss, You love it? " I turned back as Ben walked inside, before I could speak, Skylar start. 

"Mr. Ben, thank you so much for this, We really love it" She smile and I nod in agreement to what she said. 

"I'm happy you do" He smile, I look at Annie and a thought niggled me "Ben, how about you take Annie out for fun, get her everything she want and make sure you keep an eye on her" I suggested. 

"Vincent" Skylar turned to me with worried look, I know she might be scared but I already promised that nothing will happen to them, I trust Ben "Skylar, It's fine. Nothing will happen" I assured her with a smile. 

Annie rushed to Ben's side immediately smiling "I can get everything I want? " The kiddo said delightedly and I nod. 

"Yeah, enjoy yourself" I told her and she giggled happily.

"What is your motive in driving them away?" Skylar asked immediately we walked into the room and I smirked. 

"I just want to have privacy with you" I said and she chuckled sitting on the king-seized bed and giggled. 

"Feels so good" She rubbed her hand on the surface while I only smirked taking a seat close to her.

"I missed Ma'am Gina, Anita and Evelyn" She suddenly said staring into space while my eyes moves to her. I take my time staring at how beautiful she was created enough to be my light.

"Where do you live?" I read her lips as she handle the wheel but I rolled my eyes, resting my head in the car. I don't even know that fucking neighbourhood address. 

"I don't know" I huffed. 

"Really? You don't know? Then I will take you to my house"...
