Chapter 13

When morning came, Naruto and Kuromaru woke up at the exact same time

After a good long yawn, and a light breakfast, they began their day, their first day of training.

Reading the first few lines of the training manual with zeal, he then close it. " What did say?" Kuromaru asked. " It's gonna be a long and painfull process. And you might not like it." Naruto said. The training session consists of four parts and they could already imagine their muscles and bones crying in pain.

As they climbed out to the surface, they began the first part of the training manual's "training session". First it was to run round the village with weights, five times to be exact, the book even stated that the number of rounds would be doubled every month. Naruto and Kuromaru strapped a backpack on their backs filled to the brim with rocks and began to run round the village five times with a heavy backpack on their backs. When that was over, the two brothers were lying flat on the ground completely exhausted. It should be noted that the village of Konoha was not by any means small. It was fucking huge! Running a round it was not a problem for some, but five times with weights that was little too much for a six year old boy and his one horned calf. And after a few minutes of rest, they went to the next part of the training manual.

The second and third consists of muscle and bone conditioning. It consists of push ups, sit ups, and all those other stuff, accompanied by shin-on-something hard kicks and fist-on-something hard punches which Naruto executed on a tree trunk he so purposely cut down and was fixed on their underground home becoming a punching post. Kuromaru on the other hand, his training consisted of strapping himself with his and Naruto's stone filled backpack on his back, then from of distance of fifty feet, he rammed a wooden punching posts with his head.

The fourth part of the training would begin only when Naruto could lift the humongous sword with just one arm. And that would take time. Next was the sword techniques, and luck was on Naruto's side as the moves the scroll taught did not need the sword to be learnt, even a stick can be used as a training sword. The scroll contained more philosophies on how to fight rather than actual techniques.

" Speed and brute strength can overcome technique and skill. " That was one of the philosophies Naruto carved in his head after reading the scroll. But that would be done some other time.

" I can't feel my legs, nor my hands." Naruto groaned, lying down like a corpse on the floor. After punching and kicking the tree trunk a good two hundred times, His fist was bleeding and his legs red. Kuromaru was no better. His head was bleeding and was down on the floor.

Suddenly Naruto's and Kuromaru's body began to release the same familiar bloody red and dark blue fog they discovered the previous night. It surrounded their injured body parts, they felt as if their injuries were healing, and that was exactly what happened. For Kuromaru, it was healing but slowly, but Naruto's was already fully healed. His fist healed but the scars remained. Kuromaru's got fully healed after five minutes.

There he understood that this fog he and Kuromaru relased would unconsciously heal them. It enhances the body regenerative function and since his, was already inhuman, it got an upgrade, a very good one that is, even the bones on his shin was hardened. But it also came with a drawback.

Naruto felt very weak and hungry, very hungry. This miraculous healing wonder consumed a lot of nutrients from the body and since he had only a light breakfast, he felt that he could devour a pig all by himself. A loud roar echoed through their underground home. It was from a beast and said beast was their empty bellies.

After a very heavy lunch, They had a discussion. " Second brother, I say we name this ability of ours." Naruto said. " And I say we name it "Self-healing fog". Kuromaru stared at him with a look that said ' Are you stupid '. " First brother I really want to say something worse to you, I hope you don't mind." Kuromaru said.

" Then say it."

" You have little to zero naming skills."

That hurt his pride, it was actually a great accomplishment for Naruto to name Kuromaru with a name, that sounded normal. Not like " Stink removal from meat technique" the actual technique he use to remove the shit like smell from the meat of the chakra rats.

After two hours of discussion, they concluded with a name that sounded right. "Aura".

When the clock notified that it was two thirty in the evening, Naruto dragged Kuromaru to the park with the hope of meeting Hinata-chan. It was three in the evening and Naruto sat on a bench and waited patiently with a bright smile on his face. He was even humming a song, at that moment Naruto was happy.

Kuromaru on the other hand was enjoying himself watching the beautiful sight of the many one to two year old kids innocently playing at the park, completely ignoring that he himself is a two year old calf. Living together with a guy like Naruto, whose maturity level was at the same level of that of adults, Kuromaru did not think that he was a child.

when the clock struck at three, Naruto saw Hinami with a man with a bandaged forehead. He looked like Hiashi but he was smiling. That was Hiashi's twin brother Hyuga Hiziashi. Naruto saw Hinata and he immediately went to her. He greeted Hinami and Hizashi, but there was also another person who joined them. It was young boy who introduced himself as Hyuga Neji and was the only son of Hizashi. He did not harbour any ill intentions towards Naruto so he was cool with him.

When they went to play, parents were pulling their kids away from Naruto speaking a lot of profanities against him. Hinata and Neji noticed this but did not asked Naruto about it for it seemed like a sensitive matter for him.

They began to play by the swings, with Naruto pushing both Hinata and Neji at the same time. Naruto noticed Neji's bandaged forehead and curiosity came over him and he asked him, " Neji why is your forehead bandaged. Not only you, even your father and some other Hyuga members wear them."

Hinata and Neji both had sad faces, then Neji told Naruto the history of the Hyuga clan, the main branch and the side branch and their use of the caged bird seal to the side branch to protect the main branch.

Naruto was disgusted at this. He felt sorry for Neji as he was just like him, cursed at a young age without his consent.

" Well that's fucked up I say." Naruto said, Neji ignored the slang and sadly nod at Naruto's statement. Fate was very cruel for him and doesn't seem to show him any bright future. He dreamt that he would grow to be a great and strong ninja like his father, but fate would force him to end up just like the rest of the other side branch members: A slave to the main branch. But he felt a strong hand griping his shoulders, it was from Naruto's. " But don't give up ok. Fate is a cruel mistress, I agree with that. But I won't let her tell me what should I do and what I should be in my life. This is my life and I will be the one to shape how my life is going to be, with my own two hands and feet."

Neji was awestruck. Here he met someone who dared to defy Fate, someone who would flash his middle finger at Fate's face, saying "Fuck you!" with a smile. This was what he wants to become in life: A brave warrior who defies fate and live to tell the tale.

Naruto then continued, " If I'm going to be together with Hinata someday in the future, I'm gonna change the entire Hyuga clan." He then stood up and declared. " There will be no more main branch nor the side branch, only one united Hyuga clan...How does that sound Hinata-chan?"

Hinata was already enjoying the idea of that the entire clan would be united. Naruto never ceases to amaze her. He was someone who had strength but uses it to protect the people he loves, he is very brave, wise and kind, well only to her but that was ok, no one was perfect so she didn't expect Naruto to be either.

" But how will you remove this seal from my forehead Aniki?" Neji asked.

" Hmmm..." Naruto was in deep thought. Then with a snap of his finger, " Well then I got to learn fuinjutsu then."

The two kids gasped at what Naruto declared. Fuinjutsu was not something just anyone can learn, it was extremely difficult and the material required are not cheap either.

" What? you think I won't manage to do it." Naruto asked them, " Have some faith in this Aniki of yours." Naruto boldly declared.

Naruto then left for a short visit to the toilet. Hinata and Neji waited for him at the swings. " Hinata-sama, Naruto-san is such a great guy. He radiates such confidence I want to be like him. Even when fate looks down at me, I'll fight to against it and carved at path for myself."

Hinata just smiled at Neji, but her smile was disturbed by three annoying pricks. " Well well if it's not the freak, she even brought one of her kin along with her." They were the same bullies who bullied Hinata only to be stopped by Naruto. Frankly they were scared to mess with Hinata because Naruto was always with her. Now that he was no where to be seen they saw an opportunity for revenge.

Neji began to stand in the traditional Hyuga stance, but since he just started it just recently, his stance was somewhat funny. The three older bullies began to laugh profusely. " Look at this shrimp trying to scare us with such a poor stance." Neji knew that he could not beat all of them at the moment, but he had to defend Hinata dignity so he was ready to fight. Seeing that Neji was not going to back down, they rolled up their sleeves as they prepared themselves for a fight. They were going to say something but their face turned pale at the sudden ominous presence behind them. They slowly turned behind to see Naruto with an emotionless face clearly leaking bloodlust at these three bullies. " May I asked you what buisness you have with them." Naruto asked them with no hint of emotions. " If not you can leave, otherwise..." He leaned forward toward their ears whispering something to send chills down their spine.

" Were sorry!!!" Screamed and ran away from Naruto. Neji now really respected Naruto. He so strong that his enemies flee with just his threat. This caused Neji to put Naruto as his role model. If he is going to be strong, he'll be strong just like Naruto.

When evening came, they went to their own seprate ways. Hinami and Hizashi came back to the park and pick up their children. Hinata was already on Hinami's arms, while Neji kept praising how great and strong Naruto was today. Hizashi could not help but smile at his only son.

On the way to the pit they call home, Naruto took a detour to the Hokage's office. "First brother home is this way you know." Kuromaru said.

" I know that but I have something more important to do." Naruto replied. When they reached the Hokage's office, Naruto just opened the door without a knock. The sight that Naruto saw infront of him disappointed him. There sat the great professor, the one mastered all the five elements, the one who fought and survived two wars, the one who holds the hat as the third Hokage, there he faced the one all the past Hokage's dreaded... paperwork.

The Old Hokage's hand were moving in lighting speed signing the papers that was piling on top of his desk. His eyes fell on Naruto's and Kuromaru's and he stopped Signing them. " Welcome to my humble abode." The Hokage sait with sarcasm. " How can I help you."

" I need a favor from you " Naruto said.

" Well what do you need?"

" I want to learn Fuinjutsu."
