Chapter 57 : Chaos In Wayne Manor

Gotham City, Wayne Manor.

The once peaceful mansion was now a chaotic scene, engulfed in thick smoke and roaring flames that devoured the front half of the villa. The sounds of intense battle echoed in the fiery chaos.

"Damn it, the phone line was cut, and the signal's blocked!" Stephanie shouted, realizing their attempts to seek help from the outside world were futile. More than a dozen Talons, soaked in gasoline, danced wildly, transforming into living torches. The flames created a fiery spectacle, hindering visibility with a red haze.

As the Talons ignited various objects within the villa, the entire living room became a raging fireball. Amidst the chaos, Bridgit, undeterred, charged into the group of Talons, unleashing two fire dragons to fend them off. Although the flames obscured her vision, Bridgit's determination remained unshaken.

A short knife shot towards Ivy on the second floor, while simultaneously, a tall Talon lunged at her. Ivy evaded the knife, causing it to embed itself into a wooden pillar. "Stop right there!" The Talon, armed with a katana, leaped towards Ivy, aiming for her neck.

Ducking, Ivy narrowly avoided the attack, causing the Katana to strike a decorative vase in the corridor. Tiger-tail orchids spilled onto the ground, catching Ivy's attention. Seizing the opportunity, Ivy connected her consciousness to the tiger's tail orchid. In an instant, the plant's leaves transformed into razor-sharp swords, fending off one of the Talons.

However, more Talons closed in on Ivy, prompting her to break a window and escape. Landing on the Wayne family's expansive lawn, Ivy took advantage of her surroundings. Vines, as thick as wrists, erupted from the ground, entwining the Talons that pursued her.

"Children, follow my orders and evolve into paralytic toxins," Ivy commanded. The once-green vines mutated, changing colors and introducing toxins into the captivated Talons.

Meanwhile, the Bat-family found themselves overwhelmed. Nightwing, Red Robin, Red Hood, and Damian struggled against multiple Talons simultaneously. Stephanie, dealing with two of them, reached her limit, with dozens of Talons lingering nearby.

"Leave them alone; look for the target, Bruce Wayne," commanded the remaining Talons, redirecting their focus to their primary objective.

On another front, Jude prepared the restoration potion and boarded the royal blue Lamborghini prepared by Lucius. "Hey, I'm leaving, Brother Lucius; this time, I don't know when I will see you again. I will miss you." Lucius, with complex emotions, watched Jude depart.

In the underground Bat Cave of Wayne Manor

Bruce Wayne rested on a bed, contemplating the escalating situation. Aware that the Court of Owls had identified him, he knew waiting for the perfect moment was no longer an option.

Now, Bruce had to wait for Jude's arrival. Once his body recovered, he planned to make a strong move against the Court of Owls, deterring them from further actions against Gotham's reform advocates.

As he pondered, a noise from above caught Bruce's attention. Alfred descended into the cave, and the temperature dropped suddenly. "Did something happen? Alfred?" Bruce inquired.

The housekeeper, with a kind smile, explained it as the young masters practicing loudly. However, Bruce, sensing an unusual disturbance, insisted on investigating. Suddenly, a loud noise echoed through the cave, prompting Bruce to don his suit.

On the grounds of Wayne Manor, in the pool in front of the villa, more than a dozen scorched individuals emerged. They were the Talons burned by Bridgit, showing resilience despite being sprayed with gasoline.

Breaking free from the flames, the Talons ran into the pool. As the fire on their bodies extinguished, new granulation began to grow. Bridgit, realizing the missed opportunity, knew she couldn't handle so many Talons alone. Then an explosion rocked the villa, blowing the roof into the sky.

Under the impact of the air wave, members of the Bat family and the Talons were propelled through doors and windows, scattering across the lawn. The chaos intensified, setting the stage for a fierce confrontation.
