Upgrades

Lucas had spent 3 hours crafting his weapon. As he began to build it he thought that he should change it. Instead of being a weapon covering his right arm and right eye, it would be a left arm weapon. He learned that it was actually called a Manica armguard. It was build with overlapping metal to maintain flexibility and protection. Although his would be slightly different. 

Instead of covering the outside of his armor, it full covered his arm. It also traversed fully up his arm and up his neck. form there it would connect to a half visor over his left eye. This is how he would analyze his enemies and use his runes engraved on the Manica armguard. At the other end the gauntlet part of it armor would have 2-3 inch long blades at the end of every finger. He would use it only if someone got to close. Normally he would prefer to fight at a distance. 

This was Lucas's weapon that would also act as some form of protection. Even if he could constantly changed his clothes, it wasn't armor. Speaking of which, he'd have to get some clothes for himself as well. He would think of that afterwards. He was just about finished with his weapon. The final touch was the half visor. He went with a purple color lens that could feed him the information he saw with his [Awareness] and [Enhanced Sight] runes. As he was building it, it looked very similar to a scanner from Dragon Ball. He chuckled a little as he finished her work. 

Lucas stepped out of his Kur suit and admired his craftsmanship. The Manica armguard was perfect in his eyes. He went for a sleek black metal with purple engravings for the runes on the arm. It gave it a mystical like appearance. He was even more happy when the System acknowledged his work as well.

"HOLY F#CK!" Lucas exclaimed. "All these new skills just because the weapon has these runes?! How powerful is Alduin then!?"

He thought was stopped with the another notification.

[Notice. Task number 4 completed. User has created a suit of armor and a weapon for themselves. They are taking baby steps on becoming an Inter-Galactic Super Villain. 500 VP's will be rewards along with 2 new combat skills]

[Precision Casting Lv 1: able to manipulate the size of a spell to be as precise as possible]

[Dueling Lv 1: when fighting a foe one on one, attacks cost 10% less mana and deal 5% more damage]

Lucas furred his brows. "What kind of combat skills are these? Don't get me wrong these skills are good, but I wouldn't consider them combat oriented skills. They don't even fit with my [Unarmed Lv 1] skill."

[Noticed. Combat skills are randomized and given to User. If User is ungrateful then System can just take the skills away]

"NO no no! Please don't do that" Lucas pleaded. His tune quickly changed when the System threatened to take away his skills. Even if they weren't the best combat skills he could get, he would take them over nothing. Now that he had his weapon and the additional 500 VP's he was feeling much more at ease. Lucky enough as soon as he was done his Wolven showed back up and he quickly sent them on their Scheme. This would probably be their last Scheme for a while.

Since he got some free time he figured he would catch up on some sleep. He for sure wasn't planning on staying up for 24 hours straight. He quickly went to the [Canteen] and grabbed a bite to eat before going to bed. As soon as his head touched the pillow he was out like a light. Time flew by before Lucas woke back up.

When he did wake up, his pillow was covered in drool and his hair was in a mess. He looked over his bed to see all 4 Wolven eagerly stood by his bed. He jumped back and was definitely awake now. He checked the his time till he left for school. 

[54 minutes till Back to School Scheme commences]

"I'VE SLEPT FOR 20 HOURS?! System how could you left me sleep for that long! I don't have much time left to fully get ready!'

[Notice. User did not ask to be woken up at a certain time. Additionally, User required the rest. With the issue of ripped Spirit Nodes one needs to rest more after using mana based skills or crafting such weapons with runes]

"Ugh. Fine then. I'll just quickly check my credits and VP's." He pulled up how many credits he had and the VP's his Wolven managed to collect for him.

[Villain Points: 1,200]

"Wow! This is a lot more then I thought! I definitely can get 1 million credits after I get back and before the Black Market trade. Lets just ahead and convert only 1 million credits for 1,000 VP's. Now that I have 2,200 VP's there's a lot I can do!" His plan was to spend all his VP's since they would be useless to him for the next 6 months, but wanted to save some credits as well. He figured 200,000 was enough to have for a rainy day.

Lucas quickly opened up his System's store tab and looked over everything he could purchase. At first he wanted to get some new Runes, but he halted himself. He hadn't even mastered the ones he had. He didn't want to have dozens of Runes and no idea how to use them. So he went with his second option, buying new skills and items!

Some of the skills that caught his eye were amazing, but extremely costly. [Foresight Lv 1] was a skill he saw that could let him predict the future, if only to a small degree. But it cost him a fortune! 1 Billion VP's for the single skill! No way in hell was he going to do that. Another thing that caught his eye was the [Shield of Perilous Defense] it could block any attack under the Nascent realm. But again it was too expensive! 500 Million VP's! He was beginning to think the System's store was a rip off.

He had to set his bar much lower. With only 50 minutes remaining at this point he spend 40 of them reading every skill and item that was 1,000 or under. And there were a lot. Thousands to be exact. Given he had little experience with the universe, but lots of experience with video games he spent 1,200 VP's 4 skills. [Armor Smithing Lv 1], [Tailoring Lv 1], [Foraging Lv 1] and [Treasure Detection Lv 1]. He wasn't sure if these skills would be useful, but he figured he could use them after this Scheme.

He was also excited to see how [Treasure Detection Lv 1] would work. 

He still had another 1,000 credits to purchase and he was looking for a unique item. unfortunately every item he wanted would cost him tens of thousands of VP's! The System's store was definitely a rip off, but he couldn't do anything about it. Out of the long list of items he ended up purchasing a bronze ring; [Bronze Ring of Mana Regeneration]. It was a ring that would give him a passive regeneration of .5 Mana per second. He mainly got it because he could spend VP's to upgrade it in the future. 

Now that he was nearly broke, Lucas felt like he was just about ready. All he had left was his clothes. He wasn't happy with what he had and decided to just spend 10,000 credits for the System to give him some adventuring clothes that it thought he would need. He wasn't too picky when it came to what he wore, but the clothes the System picked for him spoke to him. 

On his bed laid the clothes the System picked. First was a pair of black combat looking boots. Above it was a similar black color pants and a grey shirt. Next was a deep purple vest with red trimmings. Laying next to the entire set up was a long overcoat that looked identical to the one on his Kur suit. On the back of it was a weird looking red symbol.

"System what's this?"

[Notice. The System as provided the user with a Rune Enchanted Overcoat. The symbol is the rune for Protection. While the User wears this they will have resistant to all physical attacks]

Lucas wanted to cry. He knew a gift when he saw one. He was sure this overcoat would cost a lot of VP's, but he wouldn't turn it down. He was never one to look a gift horse in the mouth. He profusely thanked the System and put the clothes on. The clothes were a perfect fit! Just as he finished putting everything on time was just about up. Looked back at his Lair and the Wolven one last time for a while.

"Thank you guys for gathering all those credits and VP's for me. Once I'm back I'll upgrade and repair you all. Alduin is in charge and he can send you all on Scheme's when he gets back. Hell he can preform them as well!" 

Lucas smiled and waved goodbye. A swirling white and blue portal appeared behind him. He looked deep into the portal, eager to go on a new adventured. He just hoped when he got back he could really get the ball rolling. With one foot forward he stepped through. The portal vanished. The Wolven were left alone in the lair. Seeing as their Master was gone for the time being, they went back to the [Workshop] and waited. Though in their minds they were learning. When Lucas returned he would be in for a shock.
