22 Return and ?

Bella and I had a great time in Japan. Nothing major happened except for gaining a few pounds, but luckily, Bella doesn't care about that too much.

We got back in time for Bella to get changed and jump into her car to go to school. After she left, I went to the station to let Charlie know she was back safely.

After talking for half an hour, I handed him some authentic ramen and headed out. I had no plans for the day, so I decided to go see if anyone in my company needed help with anything... They did not.

"Alright, movie night it is." I said to myself as I tore my shirt off to get comfortable. "Tonight I'll test out that new power I felt when I teleported."

Halfway through the fifth Disney movie, Bella showed up.

"Movie day?" she asked.

"Ya. There's nothing else going on." I said as I moved over so she could join me in my personal movie theater.

"What are we watching?" she asked.

"I'm halfway through Aladdin." I answered.

"Cool. Can I invite a couple of people over?" she asked before I could hit play.

"Depends on who. You know I'm not really a people person." I replied.

"Edward and Alice." she answered.

"Sigh...I don't mind, but be sure that Edward tells his parents where Alice is." I said after some thought. I have to keep up the pretense that I do not know they're over a hundred years old. I'm an adult, and she's an innocent little minor.

"Okay!" she said before she ran off to make the call.

Standing up, I put my shirt back on before anyone could see anything.

"Bella, I'll make some popcorn and get the sodas ready." I yelled out on my way to the kitchen.

"Okay." she yelled back while still on the phone.

After making three buckets of popcorn and throwing some soda cans into a cooler of ice, I drug the cooler into the theater so everyone can enjoy themselves. But I still kept everything between Bella and myself since Edward and Alice would not eat or drink.

As I was bringing the popcorn onto the room, our guests walked in.

"Thank you for inviting us over, Hadrian." Edward said.

"Thank Bella. I didn't even think of inviting anyone." I responded.

"Well, thank you anyway. Do you need help carrying anything?" Alice asked in her bubbly fashion.

"You can go pick out a movie, I got all this." I said as I continued on my way.

"Okay." she responded, skipping towards the shelves of movies.

After five minutes, the movie was selected, and snacks were dispersed between Bella and myself. Alice proceeded to grab my arm in a hug for the entire movie.

After watching Beauty and the Beast (I just had to), Bella asked if we could watch another movie.

"I don't mind. I have nothing else going on today. Maybe you should ask our guests if they can stay for another movie or if they need to leave first?" I asked her.

"Are you trying to get rid of me?" Alice asked while still holding my arm in a hug.

"Believe it or not, no. But I do not know what your schedule is, and I DON'T want to upset your parents, even if Edward is playing chaperone for your sake." I answered.

"Such a gentlemen." Alice said.

'No, I just don't want some messed up version of the time police to come in screaming "FBI, OPEN UP!" ' I thought to myself. 'Thank C, I wished them away.'

"We have time for another movie, if you'll have us." Edward said.

"Alright. Y'all pick another movie." I said before Alice and Bella took off for the movies. "PREFERABLY SOMETHING LESS DISNEY/ROMANCE BASED!" I yelled after them.

"Hehe. One movie did you in?" Edward asked from his couch.

"That was actually the sixth Disney movie I've watched today, but yeah." I said with a tired smirk.

"Why are you so tired? Didn't get any sleep last night?" Edward asked.

"I haven slept in almost two days, actually. Time difference from Japan, plus I was flying solo. Then I talked with Charlie and went to try and do some work, but I wasn't needed today. Insomnia is a bitch I tell you. And i still have work to do tonight. That's why I'm downing mountain dew like it's water." I said.

"Ah. That makes sense. So what kind of work do you do?" Edward asked. He could not read my mind since one of the first things I learned to do was shield my mind.

"I work at R&D Enterprises. So, it's a bit of everything, I guess. If you want something more specific, I work everywhere. Helping whenever anyone reaches a bottleneck or needs an outside view on their project." I answered.

"Huh. Well, obviously, it pays well." Edward said while waving around my house.

"Ya. But I had money before I started working there...my family owned a company that had many military contracts and after they died it was sold and I became VERY rich." I said.

"Wow. Well what are your plans tomorrow? I'm sure my mom would like to meet you." Edward said.

"I have plans tonight, but they might drag into the next few days." I said vaguely.

"...a girl?" Edward asked, getting upset.

"No. I would have said so directly if that were the case...I was never the guy that girls were interested in, so your sister is actually the first girl to show any interest." I clarified.

"I find that hard to believe. You are easily within the top five of the kids from my year and senior year at school." Edward said.

"I don't know what to tell you. After my parents died, and I saved Bella, most girls just looked at me like damaged goods." I said.

"What happened when you saved..." Edward started to ask before I interrupted him.

"Not tonight. Maybe I'll be up for sharing that story another time." I said.

"Fair enough. So, just an FYI, we're neighbors. So you can easily spend some time with Alice tonight and she can walk home if you want." Edward suggested.

"Nope. Taking out the fact that I have plans after y'all leave, I'm not making her walk through the woods, alone, at night." I said adamantly.

"Good. What are these plans anyway?" Edward asked.

"...I have some experiments to run. I had a breakthrough and need to work on it." I said.

"Makes sense. So what do you think of my sister?" he asked.

"Seriously? I haven't been able to really talk to her yet. If you need an answer right now I think she has a bubbly and energetic personality and would balance me out. But I can't say more than that because I don't know her yet." I answered honestly.

"Fair enough." Edward said just as the girls walked back into the room.

"We're back." Alice said as she jumped onto my lap.

"Okay. What movie did you two pick out?" I asked a little uncomfortably.

"Lethal Weapon 1." Bella answered.

"Perfect." I said, focusing on the screen.

After the movie finished and I saw everyone off, I walked into my basement.

"Alright, time to test out this new power." I said to myself as I activated it.

Immediately after, I was sucked into a portal and out another.

"Where am I?" I asked myself.

I immediately saw a screen appear in front of my face. The top line read: Choose available race!

I'll let y'all choose what world from below, but I'm choosing the time of his arrival, timeline, and race. Actually, race might even get a multiple choice vote unless it's DBZ, SAIYAN FTW!
