Megumi's New Prototypes.

"Instead of working on the portals first, let's work on trying to get my plan for making the two most needed people join the organization."

Still ignoring Caroline, Megumi teleported her to her body and himself to his experimentation room.

As soon as he did so, he ran around the room and set up a seal he had planned to use for a prank a long time ago.

Once he did, he left the doors open and quietly sat facing away from it with his back towards the hallway.

Opening his Grimoire, Megumi began pouring through the pages of designs he had come up with for making what looked like puppets.

Teleporting the prosthetics he had ordered from the Haruno store, which he paid for in full, with Sakura's money of course, Megumi began to work on them by modifying the seals that lay in it by using what Sakura had explained to him about how they worked.

'Hmm...they use storage seals as this rudimentary form of transistors.'

'What if I can replace them with transistors, would that be faster or more efficient?'

"Megumi!" A sweet easily recognizable voice poured into his ears from the door but he didn't turn around.

"Megumi!" The voice said again but seeing him not turn around, it was quickly followed by the pitter-patter of feet and then two fleshy but not very warm hands pressed onto his shoulder as he felt the person fall to their knees behind him.

"Forgive me this once alri-"

*BANG*

A loud bang sounded through the room as if a gun had been shot inside it and filled it with confetti that slowly floated aside to reveal a large banner that hung from the ceiling of the room, written on it said, "You have been Jebaited." with a PogChamp emote on both its sides.

Seeing Caroline stunned, Megumi crashed to the floor rolling with laughter while pointing at Caroline, "You have been Jebaited! Je- Je- Je- Je- Je- Jebatied..."

Caroline's mouth hung open and even though they couldn't move, her lips looked like they were quivering from the annoyance that was Megumi.

Her eyes turned fierce as she turned around to give Megumi an angry stare as she spoke, "Just you wait, you little boy, I'll tell Tsunade what you did! I'm sure she'll be happy to experiment with what happens when you apply excessive force to fleshy cheeks! Hmpf!"

Standing up Caroline shot one last glare in Megumi's direction but seeing him still laughing on the floor she turned around and left.

Calming down only after a while Megumi thought back, 'Did she say something after I pranked her? Eh, well she was probably just being salty about it. Haha salty like the sea she was in just now! Ba dum tish!'

'Ha! Megumi! You're on a roll today!'

Going back to working on the prosthetics, Megumi began to modify them to work in a way that although would be quite nice for his organization to have, would also make for an exceptional product at the Haruno store and open up an avenue for some serious business between them and the village.

'Hmm….what would she like?'

'Chains? Like Kurapika maybe to restrain and buff yourself? Or maybe like Kratos's god of war chains?'

'And for him, probably something related to fire?'

'Hmm…this is going to be a tough one. How do I add fire-based jutsus…? I'll just ask Sakura for help later.'

'Let's just focus on building their bodies for now.'

It wasn't long after that Megumi became fully immersed in working with the puppet bodies, trying to shape them to his liking.

'Hmm…that's good enough. For now. I'll do the rest once my wrists stop aching so much.'

Stepping over and flipping the pages of the Grimoire he was using as a reference to shape the puppets, Megumi turned pages to the pseudo-code that he had written in preparation for this project.

'If I want to allow the puppets to be programmed with their respective elemental jutsus that people can use by providing the appropriate elemental chakra, I need to make it so that the tenketsu properties can be changed at will, since in seals one cannot choose which of the multiple properties that have been applied to the tenketsu are used. No matter what all the properties are automatically absorbed by the chakra once it passes through a particular tenketsu in the seal. Unlike the human body which allows you to control which property you want by manipulating flow. It is less flexible, but manageable for now.'

Working on finalizing the code, Megumi began to work on it by subjecting himself to a genjutsu and typing with his mind instead of his hands since they hurt after being forced to chisel away at the wooden puppets for almost half a day.

Repeating this cycle of resting his hands while 'writing' code and resting his logical brain while working on carving new pathways into the puppet's body, Megumi continued until the evening when Sakura finally arrived back home.

"Megi!!!! Watchu doin?"

"Nothing, I was just waiting for you."

"Oh? That's so ni-" Sakura said when she was forced to stop as Megumi dragged her to see the two full-body prosthetic puppets he had bought using her money.

"*sigh* you were waiting for me to do something not 'actually' waiting for me were you?"

"Yes. But that's beside the point. Quickly! Add all the fire tenketsu properties you know to this puppet here!" Megumi said, pointing at one of the puppets excitedly, almost like a dog jumping up and down at the mention of a 'walk' or 'food'.

"Oh my God! What has gotten you so excited!? You can't even use any fire jutsu! How are you even going to check if they work?"

"Don't worry about that! Just do it!"

"I'm tired but, fine! Only because you asked."

Sakura moved towards the puppet that Megumi had pointed at, it looked like the body of a man with broad shoulders but nothing else, from the outside, looked like it had changed much from when she'd bought the puppets for Megumi.

Using her chakra at a few correct places, Sakura was able to open the puppet vertically into two halves to reveal the chakra pathways that had been carved inside it.

In total in her puppets, Sakura had about three hundred pathways carved in each part that were used to control the movements, while what she was looking at right now had about thirty thousand.

'Thirty thousand.'

'What in the world.'

Before doing anything else Sakura immediately rushed back and grabbed Megumi's hand, causing him to wince in pain, and saw how swollen it looked, his wrist looked like it'd fall off if she did anything to move it even a little.

"What is this? Are you insane!? Do you want to lose your only other hand too!?"

"Ah! Hey, it happens. It's alright. I was too excited I gue- SHHHHHH!!!!! Why're you poking it!?"

"I touched it! TOUCH!!! With a simple touch it's hurting you so much, do you have any idea how much it's hurting me!?"

Megumi fell silent since he didn't have any response to that as Sakura dragged him by his prosthetic arm while keeping the other hand in hers.

Arriving in their room, Sakura pulled out her seal which was filled with fresh medicinal herbs which she first crushed and compacted and then turned into round pellets by rolling them in between her palms.

"Eat these!" she commanded, bringing them to his mouth.

"But they sti-"

"Shut up and eat!"

Pulling Megumi using his prosthetic hand Sakura stuffed the pellets into Megumi's mouth and forced him to chew them all without allowing him to swallow anything by pressing on his throat if he tried.

"You're so cruel!"

"What about you then? Aren't you cruel? Why do I have to come to see your hand so broken and swollen!? God are you crazy!? Even I am working on a project but did you see me ever get hurt so badly!"

"*whimper* *whimper*"

"Nothing will help you now. Shut up and sit on the bed! Now!"

Megumi did as he was told to as Sakura slowly and carefully made small incisions in the swollen area around his wrist to let the fluids that had bubbled inside it leak.

It felt quite painful for Megumi as Sakura prodded the wound she'd created using a small metallic spoon that she kept using to help any solidified blood that had coagulated in the area to escape with the leaking fluids but Megumi tried to keep quiet.

After about five minutes when Sakura was satisfied with everything she pulled out bandages and dressed Megumi's wrist so that it would heal on its own.

"Why aren't you using Medical ninjutsu?"

"And what? So that you go back to doing the same thing again and wait for me to heal the wounds away!? No way!"

Megumi tried to hug the angry Sakura but she pushed him away, and when he pulled her closer anyway, she turned away.

"It's paining." Megumi said like a child.

"Then let it pain. Good for you. That's what you did."

"....I heard if people you like kiss your wounds then the pain goes away."

"*pfft* *ahem* I mean, who told you such silly things?" Sakura asked almost laughing but controlling herself somehow.

"It's paining." Megumi said again, this time Sakura turned around to look at him and he nudged her by bringing his hand in front of her.

Sakura kissed it lightly, making sure she didn't hurt him too much, and then turned away. "Did it reduce?" she asked in a soft tone.

"Hm~m. I think an angel came and kissed the pain away."

"..." Sakura blushed but kept herself in control.

"Come, let's go. We need to eat. You're going to feed me today."

"..." Sakura just followed behind him quietly with her head ducked and looking at the floor like there was nothing more valuable in the whole world.

Although, Megumi's mind was elsewhere too, 'Now I have to wait another day for the puppets!!! Oh god!!! I wanted to see them work so bad!!!'

'Next time I must make sure to use only my prosthetic arm for caving. Oh! Or maybe I can make some space seal jutsu that can help me carve the lines easier! Why didn't I think of this earlier!? Ah! Was it because I shut off my brain while carving!?'

Arriving at the grand hall, everyone sitting around the table noticed Sakura's blushing face and then they all saw Megumi's bandaged wrist which immediately set off alarm bells in their heads as Mebuki questioned first.

"What happened to your hand Megumi?"

"Ah…this…"

"Mom! Scold him! He spent the entire day carving wood! So much that his entire wrist was swollen by a whole digit when I went up to fetch him!"

"What!?" Mebuki became shocked as did everyone else, "Is he alright?"

"Are you alright nii-san!?" Shizune asked while Tsunade looked confused.

"Why didn't you just use medical ninjutsu Sakura?"

"Right Tsuna-nee!? Help me heal thi-" Megumi attempted to coax Tsunade but Sakura foiled his plans by interrupting.

"-Because I know if I did he'd jump back to working on something else again, this is his punishment. I won't heal him this time until it heals naturally."

Everyone strangely nodded in sync when Sakura said that causing Megumi to feel like he was being conspired against.

"....you are all so cru-" Megumi was about to say cruel but was stopped when Mebuki glared at him, "Say one more word and I'll show you what being cruel truly means. Listen to Sakura and if you don't I'll make sure you won't even have your prosthetic arm anymore! I don't care if the world blows up tomorrow, but you'll listen to her!"

"Yes, momma." Megumi nodded quickly like a little chicken pecking its food.

Sitting down in his seat, Megumi waited as he was fed by Sakura who was feeling shy about feeding Megumi in front of everyone but did her work without any mistakes nonetheless.

"By the way Megumi, what were you working on so much that you broke your wrists like that?"

"Ah! I was making puppets that people can transfer themselves into. Of course, if a normal person dies while using them they'd really die, but people who are familiar with domains can use the puppets as temporary bodies!"

Everyone was stunned at the proclamation, even Sakura who was feeding Megumi froze mid-way, which caused Megumi to have to bend over awkwardly and eat the food on the spoon.

After which he swallowed the food, wiped his lips, and spoke "Great aren't I!?"
