3 Chapter 3

Chris POV

I was now thinking of how to get the 'Book of Thoth' and get out of here without getting killed as I muttered "Having watched Indiana Jones I know for a fact the this is a booby trap."I then shrugged and thought "Well I will just have to get out of here alive I guess."I knew for a fact replacing the book with something equal wait does not do jack shit since I am sure Thoth probably built it in a way that it brings the whole building down on the person who takes the book also I tried [Teleportation] to get out but it seems Thoth already placed some kind of boundary spell that blocks spatial spells or techniques the interesting part is I can teleport anywhere inside the Temple but cannot teleport outside even then it messes with where I teleport.

I quickly grabbed the book and ran out of the room thanks to [Editict memory] I knew then how the way through the maze but the moment I passed the tunnels the Heiropglyps in the tunnel started to glow and started exploding with no other choice but to run at full speed I jumped over the destroyed golem of Sphinx and making sure to avoid the traps some of it had become inactive.

I saw before the exit of the Temple was a pit of scarabs I mumbled "Well this is it."I jumped over the pit using all my strength which helped me cross it but because I used too much strength I crashed into the ground groaning I looked back at the Temple which was getting destroyed while I laid on the ground "I have to take a Vacation after this maybe visit Evy and Johnathan."

I slowly got up and started going through the Book of Thoth and thought "The guy placed multiple spells ranging from taking away a person's immortality to divinity when entering the temple so any demigod's or immortals who came looking for this would have easily killed since they lose their Special abilities leaving them vulnerable and more or less killed by the Traps or even the Sphinx it is similar how Imhotep lost his immortality in mummy.One thing is sure even if someone did get the book they would have died if they didn't have super physical abilities or Plot armor."

[A/N: Please help me come up with a better excuse than this here the MC lost his ability to teleport outside the Temple similarly if Hercules was the one who was here he too would not have been able to get out of the Temple because of his super strength which came from his parentage which is divine, as well as him having once drunk Hera's breast milk as an infant but the spell would have been reduced his strength to above human at best also he would have lost the ability to summon lightning unlike MC's ability [Perfect body] which is a copy of Spiderman's abilities which is genetic enhancement].

I smiled thought about both of my siblings while slowly getting up I went to the nearest town it only took 7 days to get back to Cairo since I had to give some of the idol's of Thoth and even some tomes to the British Museum normally under the alias 'Chris Evans' from there I teleported to my home in Cairo and went straight to find Evy was working as a librarian in Cairo Museum of Antiquities Eve, despite being really experienced in Egyptology, was denied an application by the Bembridge scholars in England as they had insisted that she lacked experience.I knew for a fact I could easily help her out with few connections I had but decided not to since I didn't want to feel she only got there because of my help not because of her own abilities.

I now was at Cairo museum as entered I saw Dr. Terence Bey who was the curator of the Cairo Museum of Antiquities and the employer of Evelyn he had taken the post of museum curator while secretly holding the title of a Medjai, acting as a contact for the Medjai warriors within Cairo. When he saw me he smiled and said "Mr. Carahan welcome your sister is in Libary."I gave a nod while making my way to the Library I muttered "The guy knows my other identity."It was not really hard for a person of his Calibur was sure to have contacts who more or less would have easily slipped my other alias to him.

I entered the Library to see Evy was going through some books about Amun ra even some about the burial chamber of an ancient Egyptian pharaoh named Tutankhamen I sighed "So she is still looking through what killed our parents."I went next to her she was so engrossed in her research that she didn't even notice my presence. I simply said, "So you really think Mom and Dad died because of the Curse."Evy who jumped out of her seat in fright saw it was just me slapped me on shoulder and said "You scared be Chris."I rubbed my shoulders acting mock hurt replied "Well it is your fault for not minding your surroundings."

Evy huffed but then smiled and said "So what made you came all the way here Chris."I playfully replied, "What can't I visit my little sister."Evy smiled hearing that and said, "Of course you can by the way Johnathan is here."I was surprised as I questioned, "Is he I have not seen him after his business."

Evy slightly grimaced and answered, "You know how the business you helped set up for him it went bankrupt so he feels embarrassed and guilty about facing you."I shook my head and said, "That idiot little brother I would never be angry with him."

Evy smiled hearing that and immediately said "I will call him here."Evy and Johnathan both looked up to their brother a lot.
