As Ling Yun finished the official talks with Cang Yue, he suddenly stood up from his seat as he came close to Cang Yue and gave her a deep french kiss.

"Wh-What are you doing? You know we are in the office right!" Cang Yue became quite flustered at his bold actions as she tried to break free from Ling Yun's clutches.

"Don't worry, I have already put on an isolation formation. So, nobody is going to come." Ling Yun said as he started savouring the sweet saliva inside her mouth. His hands slipped inside her clothes as he started to cope a feel of her perfectly shaped breasts.

'It shouldn't be like that. In the canon, they were clearly alive at this stage. They even fought with Yun che when he tried to destroy the Divine Phoenix Sect.' Ling Yun thought with some confusion.

"I'm sure that they are dead. This information comes from a reliable source. Though we still haven't been able to confirm the cause of their death." Xia Qingyue said.

"I am still quite skeptic about this. Do a thorough investigation on this. It could be that they are just faking their deaths. But if they really did die, then I want to know the exact reason for this. Because with their strength, it should be impossible to die of old age so soon." Ling Yun said.

"Yes, it is about them. They really did die. And the reason for their death wasn't because of some outside interference instead it was a voluntary sacrifice." Xia Qingyue replied after hearing Ling Yun's question.

"since Feng Xue'er was their only hope after phoenix's death, they performed a secret ritual where they sacrificed their life to shorten the time Feng Xue'er would need in order to reach the half step Divine Origin Realm." Xia Qingyue added.

"Do you know what level Feng Xue'er is right now?" Ling Yun asked.

"She is at half-step of sovereign Profound realm right now." Xia Qingyue replied.

'It seems their ritual really worked then. In the canon, it would have taken a few more years for her to reach that step. But this is also a wake up call for me. I shouldn't always rely on the canonical history as fact. It's a good thing that I decided to create a intelligence organization so early on. Otherwise, I would have faced many setbacks because of wrong information.' Ling Yun thought.

"Send these information to Gu Xian as well, it should come in handy for him. Anything else that I should know?" Ling Yun asked.
