Cave Salamander? Delicious? Chomp~!

The moment the greyish cave salamander was about to enter the small stream and make its way towards the large cave lake that the small stream was connected to, a spear made out of water suddenly materialized out of thin air before flying towards it-

Piercing through the greyish colored cave salamander before it had any time to react, as it struggled for a few seconds before another water spear flew forth and ended its life.
Rustle~
Following the death of the cave salamander, an equally small lizard covered in a layer of beautiful blue scales that shone slightly after being hit by the light from the crystal just behind it, cautiously revealed itself before rushing towards the corpse of the greyish colored salamander.
Grabbing hold of it before dragging it back to the foliage that had hidden it just a moment ago.
Within only a few seconds, every sign of the greyish colored salamander had completely disappeared, as none of the nearby monsters had even realized what had happened before everything was already over and the lizard with beautiful blue scales covering its body had disappeared. Hidden away inside the small island of foliage that had formed around the shining crystal just next to the small stream that the greyish colored salamander was about to enter before meeting its end.
However, even knowing the location of the small lizard, none of the nearby monsters dared to make their way towards the place where the lizard was hidden. The main reason for this was that most of them were no stronger than the greyish colored salamander!

I didn't expect it to survive after the first water spear… If I was just a little slower, the other monsters would have tried to steal away my prey!
Thinking this to herself as she remembered how she had finished up the small cave salamander that had been willingly moving towards her hiding spot, Scaly could not help shaking her small head.

In the end, she managed to get the small salamander back safely before anything happened and she wouldn't end up starving to death!
Narrowing her small reptilian eyes, Scaly focused her gaze on the dead body of the greyish-colored cave salamander before opening her mouth to bite down. Sincerely hoping that the description of it being a delicacy would hold true.

Having taken her first bite, Scaly could not help showing a surprised expression, as the cave salamander did indeed live up to what the description had described to her about it being a delicacy. No… It was far better than that! Even raw, it tasted phenomenal to her and was by far the best thing she had ever eaten since becoming a lizard!
Well… She had not really eaten anything great since becoming a lizard…
Expelling this thought from her mind, Scaly decided to focus on the meal in front of her, as she soon devoured the entire cave salamander.
How she could eat an entire cave salamander that was slightly bigger than her, Scaly had no idea about.
Maybe it was because she had the dragon bloodline and could digest food faster?
After all, dragons were said to be able to eat a lot! As a future dragon herself, she would of course also be able to eat a lot compared to what normal lizards should be able to eat! To be honest, Scaly still felt like she could eat another cave salamander after she had finished the first one!

So, she did just that, as another unfortunate greyish colored cave salamander had managed to make its way towards her hiding spot just as she finished eating the first one.

The entire thing went down smoothly, as a new set of cave salamander bones appeared next to the first one.
That was great!
Feeling completely full after having finished off the second one, Scaly could not help laying down on her stomach beneath a large leaf just big enough to hide her, as she spent the next half hour laying there blissfully.
Even when a few other greyish salamanders appeared before jumping into the small stream, Scaly completely ignored them, as she enjoyed laying down after stuffing herself.
In hindsight… Perhaps it would be better to just make the small island of foliage inside the cave next to the small water stream her home. Not only was it a great place to hide, but there was also an ample supply of food and water available to her!
No! Even if I make this my new home, I still have to defeat the spiders!
Remembering how the venom cave spider that had been guarding the entrance to the crack in the wall she had first decided to make her new home, Scaly could not help narrowing her small pair of reptilian eyes.
Even if she no longer felt like the crack in the wall was as good as the small patch of foliage she was currently hiding inside of. At the very least, she still had to get revenge on the spiders after getting stronger!
Lost in thought thinking about how she would deal with the cave venom spider queen and the other venom cave spiders after getting strong enough, she failed to notice several pairs of eyes staring at her from above. Slowly getting closer and closer to the place, she was hiding beneath a large leaf.

As the danger lurking above was almost within attack range, a hairy yet thin leg accidentally touched one of the many leaves from the plant that the large leaf Scaly was hidden beneath was a part of.

This instantly alerted Scaly, as she quickly jumped up from the ground and out of her hidden spot beneath the large leaf.
Swish!
Just barely in time to avoid several razor-sharp pairs of legs piercing into the ground where she had been laying just a moment earlier!
I was not alone!? Who attacked me!?
As this thought appeared in her mind, Scaly angrily turned around to face the perpetrators of the failed sneak attack. No matter what, there was no way she could let the other party leave after daring to attack her!
