15 Venom Cave Spider Queen

Poking her small head outside the small crack in the wall that she had hidden inside while recovering her mana, Scaly scanned her surroundings. Making sure that there weren't any monsters waiting just outside.

Rustle~

Having made sure that there was no dangerous monster waiting for her just outside the small crack in the wall that she had hidden inside of, Scaly slowly made her way back down to the ground before her gaze inevitably landed on the crack in the wall with the level 9 venom cave spider inside of it.

Now with her mana back up again, she was ready to fight the venom cave spider and take its home and make it her own!

In the end, things did not go as planned-

Whoosh~

Bang!

As a big rock easily several times her size suddenly whizzed past her before slamming into the cave wall close to the crack in the wall with the venom cave spider inside of it.

The origin of the rock was easily visible, as Scaly could barely make out the giant cave alligator fighting with something inside the lake further inside the cave.

Normally, the big rock slamming into the cave wall would not have been a problem, as the fight that the cave alligator was embroiled in had nothing to do with her. However, what it revealed about the crack in the wall with the venom cave spider inside of it, that she had decided to make her new home, was truly troublesome…

Along with a loud screeching sound from inside the crack, close to a dozen venom cave spiders rushed out from the small crack in the wall. However, even this was not the most troubling thing about her perfect new home that Scaly discovered-

SCREECH!

As the screeching sound once again echoed out across the cave, a large portion of the monsters on the ground hid away as Scaly watched in horror as a large spider easily five times bigger than herself somehow managed to crawl out of the small crack in the wall.

Inspecting the large spider that had suddenly appeared from the crack, Scaly could not stop herself from shivering at the image of tens of thousands venom cave spiders coming out from the small crack in the wall.

No matter how brave she was, Scaly could not stop herself from feeling slightly fearful when imagining this.

No! The spider queen is only level 2! There is no way she has such a large brood! Even if she does, as long as I get stronger, I can just use my water magic to drown all of them!

Stopping herself from getting overcome by fear at the image of tens of thousands venom cave spiders rushing towards her, Scaly imagined how she would just drown all of them with powerful water magic.

Even if she was nowhere strong enough to do something like that, Scaly also understood that the spider queen was only level 2 and had likely just recently evolved into a queen.

With this in mind, Scaly believed that the spider queen didn't even have a hundred venom cave spiders under her in total!

However, even if this was the case. How was she going to deal with several dozen venom cave spiders at once…?

Before even dealing with five of them, they would likely end up overwhelming her. Best case scenario, she managed to kill a dozen of them before running out of mana…

Thinking about this, Scaly could only put her plans of taking over the crack in wall for herself aside for now, she was not giving up, she was just going to get a little stronger first!

Rustle~

As the venom cave spider queen and her underlings crawled back into the crack in the wall, the weaker monsters who had hidden themselves slowly came back out again after the venom cave spider queen left.

Watching the weaker monsters who had come back out again closely, Scaly scanned over them before finally deciding on her first target after coming to the large cave. Not counting the lizard, she had already killed.

[Cave Salamander, lvl 5]

[Description: A salamander that lives in caves with bodies of water inside of them. Nothing much is to be said about them outside of the fact that the cave salamander is known as a delicacy among many of the sentient aquatic races.]

Staring directly on the small greyish colored salamander cautiously moving along the cave floor, Scaly pair of reptile eyes narrowed happily as she read through the last part of the description that she had gotten after inspecting the little salamander.

At this point in time, it had already been a long time since she had eaten anything… The little greyish salamander that she decided to hunt down first, just so happened to also be described as delicious.

Looks like I'm quite lucky!

Thinking this to herself as she kept her gaze focused on the small greyish salamander moving closer and closer to her current location, Scaly tried her best to hide her small body inside the little foliage that was present around the glowing crystal that she was right next to.

The greyish cave salamander was completely unaware of the fact that someone was looking at it, as it slowly made its way towards the small stream of water just next to the glowing crystal and foliage where Scaly was hiding…
