Importance of Family

Since the beginning when Ming Xia and her husband Chen Jun entered the house, Ming Na was waiting on the top floor for her entrance. She heard her grandfather's anger in his voice when he was calling for Nanny Rong and understood he was at his peak from the dishonor of Ming Zhu's action against the family. All she had to do was wait until the right moment to enter and truly bring her grandfather to her side and not be swayed by Ming Zhu's words.

Hearing grandfather tell Ming Zhu to kneel all she had to do was wait for her uncle to stand up for his precious daughter. Taking a peek downstairs she noticed the exact moment when her uncle went down right next to his daughter and she started her way downstairs already with red eyes.

When she came down to the last step everyone in the living room was looking at her with mixed emotions. Ignoring her cousin's family pleading looks and her aunt's worried face, sitting down she gave her grandfather a small tired smile.

"Grandfather, I'm sorry about all of this and making you worried."

Elder Ming shook his head took Ming Na's hand in his with a gentle touch, "Nonsense, dear child. If anything I should be the one to apologize to you for putting you through this heartache."

"I'll be fine, it just I was in shock." Ming Na said then looked over at Ming Zhu with a sad expression.

Noticing where Ming Na's gaze was, Elder Ming coughed and glared back at his youngest grandchild. "Ming Zhu, now that the family is all gathered together explain yourself!" He yelled.

Ming Zhu slightly looked up and saw how angry her grandfather was and she could feel the disappointed gazes of her aunt and uncle. She took a calming breath and tried to think of a way that she could get in everyone's good graces. Looking over and seeing Ming Na's red eyes and sad face she had to fight the urge to scowl at her for putting on such a performance.

"Grandfather, I didn't mean to hurt cousin Na, but my heart went toward Liu Kang as if it was meant to be." She said while tears welled up in her eyes, glancing at Ming Na, "Cousin, I really am sorry, I never meant for this to happen." When she was finished tears started coming down her cheeks.

Ming Na clapped at Ming Zhu's performance in her head but outside she just calming listen to Ming Zhu's words. When she was done, Ming Na avoided her cousin's gaze and let out a sorrowful sigh full of emotions.

"Ming Zhu, I'm not upset that you feel in love with Liu Kang, what truly hurts is that you couldn't be honest with me. The two of us are only children but were close in age so I always treated you like a sister. For you, I would have left Liu Kang for the two of you to be happy, I never wanted to stand in the way of true love. I guess I believed that family meant something and sometimes you have to make sacrifices but I guess it was only me who believed in such things. So Ming Zhu, even though you didn't mean to hurt me, your actions hurt me way more than you betraying me with Liu Kang."

After she was done everyone was silent, even Ming Zhu didn't expect for Ming Na, to say such words. She wanted to say something but her grandfather beat her with his statement, "Dear Na, don't let these matters into your heart, grandfather will take care of this problem."

Looking at Ming Bai, "Son, this is mostly your fault for not teaching your daughter any morals, no matter how she felt she still had an affair with her cousin's fiance and that is wrong." Looking over at Ming Zhu, "You might be my granddaughter but you need to be punished for tarnishing the family name today. I think you should leave the company and relearn what it means to be a decent human and family member."

Ming Zhu went into a state of shock from her grandfather's words, to leave the family company would ruin her life. She worked her to establish her position to gain followers among the employees and was planning on completely taking it away from the hands of Ming Na. Her late grandmother left the company to Ming Na but she had countless plans to be the one ruling it. The only problem was that her grandfather had the major shares and could decide her fate if he truly pushed for her dismissal.

She looked over at her father in hopes he would say something in her defense, and just as expected Ming Bai stood up for his daughter.

"Father, I understand what Ming Zhu did is wrong but taking her out of the company is big. She still has done great things for the company, dismissing her would only bring chaos."

Elder Ming wanted to scold his son but before he could say anything he heard a small voice, "Uncle Bai is correct.
