'Keep calm! keep calm!'

Keylon cried out inside his heart as his body gradually backed away from the giant serpent.

While doing so Hiro's eyes still kept his sight fixed on him. Watching the tiny ant performance...

*Steps* *steps* *steps*

Keylon gradually backed away as he lessened his breathing rhythm. Trying to express that he was not here to provoke the serpent.

'Steady... just a little bit more... and then I will have to warn the others without them panicking or else this serpent might attack.'

'It's in their nature... unless hungry or provoked they won't bother attacking. And this one seems to be chilling meaning that it has no intention to attack. But we need to leave quietly...'

Keylon speculated silently as he made his way backward.

Though his senses were extraordinarily intensified to the fullest since the pair of eyes was still watching him. He was extremely nervous presently but he must remain calm at all times.

To him, these couple of seconds had been an eternity. His back was drenched in sweat as his hand clasped tightly onto the staff.

Soon he finally arrived at the biggest tent as he was still facing the Giant serpent. His plan worked! this serpent doesn't seem to be disturbed by his action just now.

He needed to leave this area quickly. Judging by the size of this serpent. It could be an emperor class monster...

If an emperor class monster were to make a move here... not only them but this whole forest area might be obliterated.

He was aware that there are many other teams from various noble families that had been dispatched here. To find the hidden palace... that could change one's life. They are the future of the empire... if anything were to happen to them. Then the future backing of the empire will be cut off!. The consequence would be unimaginable if such things were to happen.

Arriving in front of the tent entrance. Keylon slowly settled his staff away onto his back as he unzipped the tent quietly.

While doing so... he secretly transmitted a voice message to Evelyn's mind. Only she can hear it...

"My lady... please wake up."

"Mhmm which there??"

Evelyn replied sluggishly as she was still half awake and half asleep. She gently caressed her eyes as she slowly stabilized her gaze towards the unzipped entrance.

"My lady it's me, Keylon... "

"Huh uumm Keylon? what's the matter?..."

Her voice was still a bit muffled and barely clear. Though it sounded cute with her current looks. The pitch pink pajamas enhanced with her long messy hair draped all over her shoulder.

Added with her pale like pink skin color.

But Keylon didn't have any time for this... as he was under tremendous pressure and urgency.

"My lady we need to leave this place quickly!"

He deepened his voice slightly this time. Showing that he was extremely serious.

"What's the matter, Keylon? why do we need to leave now? it's still nighttime..."

Evelyn asked with a puzzled face.

Seeing the ever unmoving mask. Evelyn thought that Keylon's sudden intrusion into her tent was extremely rude. She doesn't recognize just how serious the expression was under the mask...

"Serpent?..."

She tried collecting her thoughts properly and analyzed Keylon's words one by one...

She was about to shout those words in surprise but Keylon quickly appeared to her side and locked her mouth with haste.

"My lady... do not shout. The serpent is extremely sensitive towards the sound. If we were to enrage it... none of us will be able to survive. not even me"

"So please don't shout... I'm gonna let go of you and then tried to wake the other... "

Evelyn nodded eagerly and then Keylon slowly let go of her.

"Then you go alert the other... just pack the necessary things and then we will leave towards the south"

"Yes"...

" Make sure not to make any loud noise"

"I know!"

Keylon hurriedly made his way to the next tent while Evelyn started cleaning and packing her stuff up.

10 minutes later... all of them had completed loading their bag and quickly assembled in the corner of the area close to the river.

And they did all of this very quietly... not even a sound was made during all those times.

"Keylon where is this serpent?... I see nothing except trees."

Evelyn asked Keylon curiously. As when she tried finding the so-called serpent... she saw nothing but trees and a large mound.

"My lady... the whole encircling mound... is the serpent.."

Keylon whispered towards Evelyn while he pointed out towards the long and thick C-shaped mound that they had thought was natural.

*Gasped*

All of the soldiers and Evelyn gasped in cold air while their backs frosted with fear.

"So we had been in this serpent area all along... it's just we didn't notice it since he's so big."

one of the soldiers blurted in surprise while explaining these.

"Quick! we need to leave this area... "

"Yes!"

Evelyn ordered for them to leave and soon they escaped the area with haste and cautiousness.
