19 Chapter 18 Seeking Counsel

Gavin stared at the noetikons. All three were present and contained more wisdom than the current seated Jedi Council. The noetikon of science contained the knowledge of the greatest scientist the order had ever known. The noetikon of light contained the wisdom of the greatest Jedi Masters the order had ever produced. Lastly, it was the most dangerous one. The Noetikon of secrets contained the personalities and wisdom of Jedi, who had fallen to the dark and returned to the light. While not evil, the knowledge it contained was dangerous.

Thinking on his vision, he accessed the noetikon of light. Jedi Master Nomi Sunrider appeared, her personality being one one of the ones imprinted on the artifact. "Hello Jedi, I am Master Sunrider. It has been some time since one sought my wisdom." She said sagely.

"Thank you Master, I have seen a vision, I was hoping the Noeticon of light could guide me." Gavin responded.

"Why not seek the council, young one?" She asked.

"The council has become blind. They lead the order into a sith trap and alienate themselves from the Galaxy." Gavin explained. "I seek to blunt the coming blow and provide a way for the order to survive."

"Explain, young one." Master Sunrider said.

"Yes, Ma'am, but I feel it would be better to open the other 2 and have all of the personalities imprinted hear this. I would prefer to only explain it once." Gavin responded.

"Opening the Holocron of science will be no issue buy you will not open the holocron of secrets till you have convinced both holocrons, we act as a key and the knowledge contained in it os too dangerous." Master Sunrifer said, "Also, we all hear you. Only one can act as a representative, though know that when you speak to one imprint, we all respond."

"Thank you Master I will open the noetikon of science then." Gavin answered her respectfully. These were the most advanced holocrons ever created. They were closer to a full born AI than to a virtual assistant.

Opening the second holocron one of Yoda's species appeared, "I am Jedi Master Vandar Tokare, young one. Why do you seek my knowledge?"

"He seeks all three noeticons. He does not have the council's consent and asked to plead his case to both of us at once." Master Sunrider explained.

"Indeed? A tough road you have chosen. What is your name?" Master Tokare asked.

"Wait, your species can talk normally!?" Gavin asked.

Both of the masters looked at him confused. "I can, why do you ask?" Master Tokare asked.

"I knew Yoda was just trying to mess with people!" Gavin said, "Sorry Master irrelevant question."

"Very well." Master Tokare answered, vowing to himself to bring it back up later.

"Master Tokare Meetra Surik mentioned you from her time in the order. Do you remember the Jedi Civil War?" Gavin asked.

The little green alien nodded. "Indeed, though, it is not my purpose to."

"Master the jedi council of today is dividing the Jedi, even if they survive the trap laid for them the Jedi will eventually split and another Jedi Civil War will be upon us." Gavin stated. "History is a great wheel, the Sith stand ready to re-emerge and the Jedi are walking to their own destruction."

"What evidence do you have of this?" Master Sunrider asked.

"The Jedi have not been to war in 1000 years, yet the Republic immediately appointed them Generals, they have no military training, Battle Meditation is a lost art, and while the leader of the opposition is Sith he is a former Jedi Master and most of the systems that joined did so of their own free will. The Republic wished to force them to not secede. It is a political conflict that the order should be acting as mediators to end." Gavin began to vent his thoughts on the matter.

"That is regrettable, but it does not sound beyond saving." Master Tokare responded.

"And if I was given the choice to become a General, be on house arrest in the temple, or to be expelled?" Gavin asked. "Those were the choices I was given when I refused to become military. The reputation of the order is at an all-time low, children are being taken from their parents, most jedi are disconnected from the people."

"What?" Master Sunrider asked, astonished.

"Masters What if I was to say that a Sith is sitting in the Chancellor seat manipulating all of this and the order has become so blind they can't even sense it?" Gavin dropped another bombshell.

"Why have you not informed the council?" Both asked, nearly shouting.

"Masters, if I did so, they would run headfirst into the office with no proof of wrong doing, justifying the whole order being severely sanctioned or even disbanded." Gavin explained tiredly. "I am undermining what I can and gathering evidence, but he is a crafty one."

"The sentinals should be able to sense this." Master Tokare began.

"They are relegated to temple gaurds." Gavin answered. "I will continue to mess up his plans and try to get the jedi to get their heads out of their asses, but I have seen 2 visions."

Both looked at him, motioning him to continue. "The first was if things continue as they are nearly all jedi will be killed within the next 20 years. The temple will fall, and the Sith will use it as a base for their own power." Gavin paused before continuing. "To this end, I seek to establish a sanctuary for the jedi to rebuild from."

"A wise decision, and one we will support given the circumstances." Master Sunrider said, Master Tokare nodding his consent.

"The second was a call for help. A strange ship was under attack from blue skinned red eyed aliens."

"Chiss," Mater Tokare muttered. "They were allies to the Sith since ancient times I have a star map to their system of you wish to investigate."

"Thank you Master." Gavin responded.

"You have given us much to think on. Look into this ship in your vision, and we will talk again after you have figured it out." Master Sunrider said before fading.

"Here is the star map. You will also need an out of the way world for this sanctuary of yours. I will consult my knowledge, and when we speak again, have a list of suggestions for you." Master Tokare stated before fading.

Gavin watched as the holocron downloaded the map into his navicomputer before fading away. "SAM set course for the Chiss system. Let's see what is going on, shall we." Gavin said, looking forward to this new adventure.
