Zombies

It's been three weeks since I defeated the hobgoblin. In these weeks I've gone around defeating several other gates in highly populated areas incase there's another dungeon break but I still haven't gained any new skills.

There's has been two more dungeon breaks which I've been able to stop. I've been getting stronger and I also have my summon which is my hobgoblin who I named Gob.

On MyTube and many other social media's like Snapcat, Instabam and many others several videos about one man killing dozens of monsters have been going viral.

Lots of comments were stuff like.

"Who is he?"

"It has to be fake right?"

"He's like a goblin slayer."

Once I read that last comment I nearly vomited blood.

"Hell no! Someone already has that title." I said while thinking back to an anime I watched.

I switched back to the news which I've been using to find dungeons when I suddenly saw an emergency broadcast.

There was a headline saying "Strongest monster appeared. Several police squads killed."

As I read through the news I found out that the monsters were zombies. They were briefly mentioned during one of the raids Yoo Jin-Ho and Sung Jin-woo defeated when they were going around clearing all the C rank dungeons.

I don't really know much more about them honestly but I can guess that they have a low speed and an average attack strength.

Once I appeared on the street and I started walking towards the monsters everyone started cheering.

I was a bit cautious as I approached them but I was still confident that I could kill them.

I brandished a dagger that I took from one of the bosses in a D rank dungeon. It was a bit crude but it got the job done.

I ran towards the crowd of monsters quietly when one of the zombies suddenly looked towards me.

"Can it really smell me from here?" I thought while stopping and summoning gob.

"Time to get serious I guess." I planned to kill them without using gob but I don't want to risk there to be any risk or unknown variables.

When I looked at gob I felt kind of proud. He was a little over two metres tall holding a large machete, honestly he was pretty intimidating.

I continued forward quickly reaching my first target. Using my speed I was easily able to get behind the zombie and stab it in the back.

"Phew, easier than I thought:" I let out a sigh of relief while pulling out my blade when I suddenly felt an attack incoming.

I was able to easily dodge it as it was pretty slow but when I looked towards the direction of the attack I was shocked to see that it was the zombie I just stabbed.

"What?" I thought while trying to think of an explanation for what just happened.

I stabbed the zombie in the neck but just like before it continued to attack me.

I suddenly had an thought. "Maybe it's like the zombie games where you need to destroy their brain."

I ordered my summon to use its large machete to lop off its head and as I expected it didn't get back up.

"Aw damn." I said in annoyance because when I looked up I realised we were surrounded by dozens off them.

It wasn't that they were strong individually but when there are large numbers of them and they are so annoying to kill anyone would react the same.

I ordered Gob to start attack them and he was able to easily overpower them whenever he chopped one down another appeared.

During this a few made there way towards me. I ran towards one of them and attempted to cut off his head with my dagger but I was finding some difficultly as it was hard to use a dagger to behead something.

I put my knife away seeing that it wasn't going to work that well. I was thinking about the strength I've gained recently and thought maybe I can pull of their heads or something like that.

I ran towards one of the closest zombies and disarmed it while trying to rip off its head. I would have probably being able to if I had more time but one of the zombies beside the one I was holding attacked me.

"Fine let me try this then." I had a backup plan in case this didn't work which I started straight away.

I started breaking all of their legs and arms so they couldn't attack me and I'm a short time I had a pile of scattered bodies around me.

Of course they were the zombies bodies. By the time I finished with my few zombies Gob was also finished with his zombies so I ordered him to behead the one I killed while I looted the ones he killed.

After taking all the magical cores from all the zombies we had around twenty of them. I decided to absorb them all while thinking about the difficulty I had in killing them.

I could felt my strength increase by a large amount. Although they weren't that strong but when I had so much cores to absorb this was the expected result.

After searching for a few minutes I found two more groups of zombies with around ten in each group. By the end I was able to just barely rip of their heads. A big factor to me being able to do this was probably because they were already rotting making it easier.

I couldn't find the boss anywhere so I figured it was still inside the gate.

"It's strange it didn't leave." I thought while getting ready to enter the dungeon.

Once I entered the dungeon I noticed I was in a room and there was a corridor in front of me. I walked down the corridor until finally reaching the end.

When I looked through I saw a big open room that almost looked like the inside of a throne room.

Unexpectedly there was actually a throne with something on it. When I looked closer I saw it was a zombie with a crown on it forehead while on its hand I saw a ring.

Beside it were two other zombies who were crouching one one knew almost bowing. One had armor and a sword reminding me of a medieval night while the other one had some robes with a pointy had reminding me of wizards I used to see while watch anime.

Suddenly the zombie on the throne spoke but I couldn't understand what he was saying. Once he stoped talking the two zombies suddenly got up and looked towards me.

The knight brandished his sword while a small fire ball appeared next to the wizard. The zombie king just laughed while watching from his throne.
