Zombie mage

I was quite surprised when I saw this, but I was able to calm myself down and react to the incoming attack from the knight and managed to block. Once I blocked the first attack it didn't stop there and kept up its barrage of attacks.

One…two…three, the knight stopped its frenzy of attacks on the third strike backing up towards the other zombie that had the fireball floating around it. I looked towards my summon only to notice that there were several burn marks all over its body.

"Did the mage do that to stop it from helping me?" I was shocked to say the least, the zombie had at least enough intelligence to be able to disable my summon so that it wont be able to help me.

I looked back towards the two zombies and I noticed that the two zombies were in a kind of formation. The knight was standing in front of the mage as if it was protecting it.

"I'm guessing that the mage would be like an archer or priest if this was a game while the knight is a mix of a tank and a damage dealer."

After a few moments of thought I decided to try using a different plan. This time I would get my summon to fight the knight as they have similar strengths while I'll try to fight the mage.

I let my summon move ahead just like the knight and mage while I followed behind it using it as a meat shield to protect me from the fire balls that the mage was firing at us.

Whenever the mage shot fireballs at my summon it would take a few seconds until it was able to fire another one at us.

As we got closer the knight suddenly ran towards us right after the mage fired a fireball.

"Shit" When the fireball hits my summon it will probably be stunned for a second and then the knight will attack.

Just as I thought when the fireball hit my summon it was dazed but instead of letting it being hit by the knight I called back my summons so the attack would hit nothing.

I swung my blade towards the zombie knight but when I stabbed the armor nothing ended up happening.

I backed away as I saw a fire ball coming towards my direction. I summoned Gob back and ordered it to continue going forward.

We advanced around two metres wen the knight suddenly starts attacking us. I ordered my summon to try block the attacks but the knight was too fast and was managing to injure my summon.

As I was about to help my summon I suddenly had an idea. Normally the knight was defending the mage but now it was distracted fighting my summon.

I felt slightly guilty but I didn't change plans as it was the only one we have at the moment despite how risky it is.

I ran around the knight by running in a semi circle angle so fast it didn't even see me.

I was getting nearer to the mage as every second passed when suddenly a fireball triple the size of the ones it was originally firing out was coming towards me.

I was going too fast to stop so I could only improvise. I tried to bend down like I was playing limbo. I saw the fireball go right past where I was burning everything in its path when I

suddenly felt a stinging sensation on my shoulder.

"Damn that hurts." I clenched my teeth as I heard sizzling noise coming from my shoulder and a smell of burnt meat.

"At least if I find a cannibal they won't eat me... I hope." I thought while nearly covering my nose from the smell.

"So it's been holding back huh?" I managed to say this through my gritted teeth while trying to ignore the pain.

After a few seconds the mage fired another attack towards me nearly the same size of the one before it.

I was able to dodge as I was prepared this time but my dodge was slower because of my shoulder.

"At least it's my left arm." I said trying to be somewhat optimistic about it.

I was managing to dodge the attacks one by one as I slowly got closer. I believe that despite it having such strong attacks it will probably have a low defence which was why the zombie knight was protecting it.

It's attacks were getting weaker as it was running out of mana. (A/N can't remember if it was mana or something else)

The moment when I saw an opening I instantly made a charge towards the zombie when just as I was getting nearer to the zombie it suddenly made a massive fireball exhausting all of the last amount of it mana.

I just smirked and was ready to instantly change my direction to dodge the attack. Remembering how I was tricked earlier by the zombie how did it expect me to fall for it again.

Like they say 'Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.'

My smile got a little wider as I thought of this when I suddenly pushed the zombie to the ground and squashed on its head. I repeated this a couple times until the skull caved in.

I took the zombies magical core quickly and tried to make it my summon as quickly as possible.

"Cmon... hurry up." After a few seconds of half trying to summon the monster and half praying to any god I know the zombie appeared beside me.

"Phew.. thank god." I let out a hefty sigh before looking towards Gob who is currently fighting with the knight.

What saw surprised me quite a bit. Gob was missing and arm and had several stab wounds all around it's body.

Just as the knight was about to bring down the finishing slash I appeared blocking its blades.

"Heh. Pick on someone your own size." I tried to say with a cool voice while I casually ignored the fact that I'm smaller than the zombie and Gob is actually closer to the knights height.

"Let's fight!" I shouted brimming with fighting spirit.
