Hobgoblin

Once I was alone I quickly absorbed all the magical cores and I felt myself gain more strength and vitality this time.

"Let's think, all I know about goblins." I started brain storming.

I knew that they are E rank monsters that have intelligence equal to that of a child but have strong vitality and power.

"What would the boss be though." I started moving towards where the noise was earlier while thinking.

I guessed the monster would probably be something like a hobgoblin. It's a D rank monster double the size of a normal goblin with more strength.

"I'll have an advantage in terms of speed." I knew I would have to focus on dodging his attacks as if they were to make contact with me my bones would probably break.

I finally reached the noises and I noticed a group of 3 goblins following around one goblin double their height.

"Is that the hobgoblin?" I said silently as I quietly approached them.

I was looking around for a place to hide when I saw a car they will have to pass when they are walking.

I decided to go behind it and use it as a hiding spot until the goblins and hobgoblin got closer to launch a sneak attack.

After waiting for a few minutes I heard some grunting coming from behind me.

The hobgoblin was almost double the goblins height wielding a blade that looks almost like a machete.

I was slightly nervous but when I saw the blood on the hobgoblins hand I imagined what if it attacked someone from my family would there be someone there to save them.

I inhaled slightly and my eyes narrowed while I watched the goblins.

I leapt out at a super human speed with my weapon drawn aiming for the boss monsters throat leaking some killing intent.

What surprised me was that the hobgoblin was able to react in time managing to deflect my attack.

After the attack failed I pushed one foot into the ground turning my body and launched my body,but not at the hobgoblin but the goblins.

I was able to kill one easily but the other two were already alerted I was here and got into a defensive stance.

As I was about continue the offensive on these goblins I suddenly felt sensed an attack coming from behind me.

Thankfully because of my skill I was able to react faster than normal and using my superior speed I was able to avoid getting injured.

I didn't waste any time as I quickly went around the hobgoblin and attacked another one of the goblins.

Although it was prepared and was in a defensive position holding a small shabbily made blade I was able to break through with my added strength and kill it by stabbing its chest.

I instantly pulled the fang out and blocked the last goblins attack before piercing its neck with my fang.

At this point the hobgoblin swung another attack towards me while I was killing the last goblin.

It took me a moment to pull the fang from its neck delaying my reaction speed.

I had to try dodge while blocking the attack which didn't end well resulting in a long cut along my chest.

The wound wasn't that deep surprisingly but it still hurt.

I bit my tongue to regain my focus. I backed away from the boss monster vigilantly.

Despite getting injured I was still satisfied asI managed to kill the three goblins following the hobgoblin.

I charged back at the boss clashing out weapons together while our weapons were locked I was getting pushed back.

I kicked the monster causing it to lose balance allowing me to swing my weapon cutting its chest.

The thing that surprised me the most was the fact that the hobgoblin acted like it couldn't even feel the pain where I stabbed him.

This time I started attacking the monster sending out a barrage of attacks which were slowly getting faster.

The hobgoblin was able to block most of my attacks but as they were getting faster and some were getting through its defence.

Suddenly the monster roared and its strength greatly increased.

"Shit Is this some skill or something?" I thought while trying to block the attacks.

I wouldn't be able to last too much longer if I only blocked.

We were even. The hobgoblin was using its pure raw strength to injure me while I was using my speed to hit it before he can block.

Despite us being evenly matched I was still losing. The hobgoblin was acting as if it's injuries barely affected it.

If it wasn't for the fact that it's movements were slowing down I would have really started to believe that it wasn't getting injured.

I was waiting for a chance to counter the attack when I saw an opening. I crouched down and pushed up aiming for the goblins stomach.

Because of its injuries it couldn't react as fast as normally resulting in me being able stab its chest.

I tried to pull the fang out but it was stuck.

"Shit!" I once again cursed.

The hobgoblin swung its sword towards my back threatening to cut me in half.

I abandoned the fang and jumped away a bit. The force of the attack caused the blade to get stuck in the ground slightly

Using this opportunity I jumped up and kicked the monster in the face causing it to stumble backwards.

I quickly moved towards one of the goblins bodies and stole their small knife and ran back towards the hobgoblin.

The hobgoblin steadied itself and was reaching for its blade but before it could take it back I jumped at home and started slashing at it.

I threw one of the blades at the hobgoblin and it hit above his collar bone. While it was distracted from the blade I ran towards it with the other goblins blade in my hand.

I leapt in the air towards the hobgoblin managing to stab its chest. The hobgoblin started ignoring the knife in its chest and suddenly started giving me a bear hug.

Once the hobgoblin did this I was instantly winded and knew I couldn't wait much longer or else I'd be crushed to death.

"D..d..o...I..t" I somehow managed to say and when I finished saying this the hobgoblins grip on me suddenly loosened.

I looked down seeing a goblin with one of its blades stabbing the hobgoblin behind the leg.

When I was taking the blade from the goblins I also took the stone of one and made it a summon. That's the reason I only used two blades as my summon had the third.

I took the blade out from the hobgoblins chest and stabbed him in the forehead killing it almost instantly.

After doing that I walked towards my summon and killed it as I was about to have a better version of it anyway.

I took the magical cores from all the monsters and I also took the hobgoblins weapon and started walking away.
