Adventurers guild

I woke up to the enjoyable feeling of Kanthari hugging me. I lay in bed for a while observing her cute sleeping face as I waited for her to wake up.

A while later Kanthari yawned while stretching her arms and sitting up on the bed.

"Good morning, how about you and I go check out your status at the adventurers guild before we pick up a quest to do."

I meowed in agreement before walking up to her and brushing against her thighs. Kanthari picked me up as she stood up and started walking towards the door.

We walked around the town on the way to the adventurers guild, passing through the markets place which had many delicious smelling items on sale.

"We can have something from here as a reward when we complete our first mission." said Kanthari when she noticed the look of hunger I had on my face while looking at the food.

After leaving the market we arrived at what looked like a tavern from the outside. I straight away knew that this was the adventurers guild as it looked exactly how the books I read have always described it.

Walking through the doors we were welcomed to the sight of people laughing boisterously as they drank and talked to one another. Boards filled with pieces of paper that had quest notices on them.

Kanthari walked up to the counter that had an old man standing behind it.

"Hello Jack, I have a kitten with me that I want to have appraised."

"No problem." said Jack while putting a strange tablet on the counter, "If you make the cat touch the counter ot should show up with its status."

Hearing this Kanthari put me down on the table with my front two paws touching the tablet.

We all see a status screen appear in the air above the stone. When I see it I cant help but think about how much is omitted from it as my titles, stats and skills are all missing from the window.

Thinking about how this would have been the only way for me to see my status if I did not get the Evolution system I can not help but be grateful that I did get it.

"So you do have a name, which is Ciara, that is such a beautiful name and it even means black which I think suits you perfectly with your black fur."

"Anyway thank you Jack." sais Kanthari as she walked of with me back in her arms. I watched Kanthari look over the quests to see if any of them suited us. She eventually settled for one and tore it of the notice board.

Looking at it from in her arms I could see that it was the cliche beginners quest where you have to kill five goblins and collect their ears as proof for the kills. The reward for the quest wasn't alot either at only a measly 10 copper. Or at least I assumed it was only a little amount as I have no idea about how money works here.

[Reward: 10 levels. (Bonuse for it being the first official quest)]

Seeing the extra reward from my system makes me even more excited because if I manage to kill the goblins and get enough experience to reach level 20, the reward from the quest will put me straight at level 30 which will allow me to evolve.

While I was looking at my system and thinking of my nearing Evolution Kanthari had already walked out of the guild and was on her way to the forest.
