43 Chapter 43 Wielder of the Void Scepter

"To open the Ancient Beast Realm, the void scepter alone is not enough. If the Beast Tamer Organisation wants to open the Ancient Beast Realm when the time has come, then apart from the void scepter they will need the wielder of the void scepter. So, if the wielder of the Void Scepter breakthrough to the divine level, then he can live up to two thousand years. The Ancient Beast Realm opens every one thousand years this means the wielder of the void scepter can open the realm two times in his lifetime but Ethaan said that the wielder appears every one thousand years which means every wielder can open the realm only once in his lifetime.

Ethaan nodded with a smile, it is always good talking with smart people, it saves a lot of time. "Yes, it is said that every time the ancient beast realm is about to open, the Beast Tamers will leave no stones unturned to look for the Wielder."

After listening to Ethaan, Althea was in deep thought. She knew that the Beast Tamer Organisation already found the entrance and the void scepter but she didn't know whether they have found the wielder. 

Ethaan seems to understand what Althea was thinking. "I think they are yet to found the wielder of the Void Scepter", said Ethaan.

"Why do you say so?" Althea questioned.

"It is not easy to find the wielder, sometimes that person may be right under our nose but no one will be aware of it. Even the wielder himself or herself may not be aware of it."

"Then how will the Beast Tamers recognized their Wielder?" The more Ethaan speak, the more confused Althea became. 

"Only a person with all the spirit light can wield the Void Scepter", said Ethaan

Althea widened her eyes, a person with all the spirit lights! Didn't she also possess all the spirit light? But Althea was again confused because Ethaan said that the wielder itself may not be aware of it that he or she is the wielder of the Void Scepter. If a person with all the spirit lights appears then every powerhouse will try to recruit that person and Beast Tamer organizations will be no exemption since they are aware that only a person with all the spirit lights can wield the void scepter. Then, wouldn't it be easy finding the wielder!

Ethaan continued, "Everyone's spirit light emerges at the age of ten from the spirit seed. The majority have a single spirit light, while some lucky ones have dual spirit lights or even three spirit lights which is even rarer. But for those who possess all the spirit light, only one spirit light will emerge at the age of ten. To awaken all the spirit lights he or she will need the blood of the ancient divine beast."

Althea finally understood Ethan'sprevious statement. But she thought about herself, Althea couldn't help but ponder. She has all the spirit lights but she didn't need the blood of the ancient divine beast while awakening all her spirit lights. 

Ethaan noticed that Althea didn't reply or asked any questions. He looks at Althea and found that she was in deep thought.  "Are you perhaps interested in this wielder of the Void Scepter?" Ethaan casually asked.

Noticing that Ethaan was talking to her, Althea lift her head and look into Ethan's black eyes which were like a dark abyss that could swallow the souls. Although they have just met, she trusted this guy more than anyone else. She didn't plan to hide anything from him too. "I have all the spirit lights", Althea blurted out without moving her eyes away from Ethan's.

This time it was Ethan's turn to be shocked. He could never have thought that Althea possessed all the spirit lights. Ethaan was frozen and both of them blankly look at each other without saying a word. 

After a while, Ethaan recovered from the shock and asked, "Are you telling the truth!"

Althea nodded, "But I didn't use any kind of ancient divine beast's blood to awaken all my spirit light"

Looking away from Althea's eyes, Ethan's sword-like brows narrowed. It was unknown what he was thinking. After a while, Ethaan said, "Maybe because of the flame dragon. Dragon is one of the ancient divine beasts too and you have already contracted with the flame dragon, so maybe that's the reason you were able to awaken all the spirit light without the need of Ancient Divine Beast's blood "

Althea also thought the same too. She agreed with Ethan's guess too. But to think that she is…. "Do you think I am the wielder of Void Scepter?"

Althea had complicated thoughts at the moment. If what Ethaan said is true then, no doubt she is the wielder. She is now sure that the Beast Tamer Organisation will spare no effort to recruit her if they found out that she is the wielder which she didn't want to. At the same time, she is happy to know that she is the wielder because it means that she had a big bargaining chip. If the Beast Tamer Organisation and the Southern kingdom intend to start a war in the southern region, then she can protect the Alfing city, Baro clan, and her parents using the identity of the Wielder of the Void Scepter.

"I think you are the wielder", said Ethaan. He too had a complicated expression on his face.

Ethaan went to his room which was arranged by Althea. Now that he was not with Althea, he had a chilly aura. His expression was dark and gloomy. Ethaan closed the door behind him and summoned Ruching. Ruching was hiding in the shadows immediately appeared before him.

"Go and find out if anyone from the Qilin Palace had come to the land of Dura forty years ago. Also, find out how many of them are in close door cultivation and seclusion this past forty years", Ethaan ordered.

Ruching didn't understand why his master suddenly wanted to pay attention to Qilin Palace now. In the past, they have been paying attention only to the Silver Palace and the Mystic Dragon Palace. "But if I left.."
