I stared back at him angrily, he has no right to be angry with me because he was the one who hurt me.

"Why the hell will you open the door like that startling us?" I yelled at him angrily and he scoffed angrily. He moved toward me and he slapped me hard on my lips and it burst open with blood seeping out of them. I could feel the taste of blood in my mouth and I stared at him in utmost surprise and shock, he has never lifted his hands to beat me but he did today and I sighed inwardly thinking of what could have made him angry about this extent.

I suddenly felt irritated with his new behavior, he had always respect woman before but it seems like that has ended when he impregnated. I had thought that there would be nothing he could do to me but then afget seeing his behavior I knew that things would be hard.

He has an annoying smirk plastered on his face as he glared at me and all I could think of was to wipe off the smirk. This is a new behavior of his that I haven't seen in the past five years of me living with him.

"Did you know you hurt Elena with your rude behavior and you also yanked away her arms? The situation is not very good for her since she is pregnant with my child. I promise you if anything happens to the child in her, you will pay dearly for it with your life. I don't even know why you are so obsessed with Luna's position" He shouted angrily at me and I clenched my fist angrily staring at him.

"I didn't hurt her in any way. I only removed her hand from my body" I yelled angrily almost at the peak of crying. I hate it when people lie to my face about me. He still doesn't believe me because he has been fed with lies.

He had believed all what Elena said and I knew that Elena isn't a good person. I knew that she was a wolf in sheep's clothing.

"You thought I didn't know what you were thinking. You think Elena will be a threat to you being Luna" he yelled and I was speechless it is the handwork of Damon. I will make sure he pays for what he told him. Why must this happen to me? My mate believes what others told him about me but he didn't believe mine. This life is too cruel to me, it has never been good to me. All it ever brings for me is ups and downs and I have never been happy for too long, something will happen that will require me to leave the place of my joy.

I have learned a bitter truth that not all things that glitter are gold. I have been through up and downs that I thought I would never be able to break free but here I'm still alive. I always blame the moon goddess for my misfortune but I won't anymore since I have been able to scale through my hard times even if I don't believe that.

"I know you won't ever believe anything that comes out of my mouth and I will never try to make you believe," I said calmly and he stared at me in surprise. All this while Zara has her head bowed down and I couldn't help but feel sorry for her.

I wonder how the pack will continue running after she becomes the Luna of the pack. Since I was the only one who tried hard in making the pack flourish like this, what will Elena do when she becomes Luna? The pack will surely come back down but there would be nothing to do because by then it will have been too late. This lack will surely regret ever removing me from Luna and making her the Luna of the pack.

"I just use this as a warning, if you ever do a thing that will hurt her or my unborn child. I will make you pay" he threatened again and he walked away.

Zara looked at me with pleading eyes and I sighed heavily not knowing what to do. I can't possibly leave Zara here alone to face him because he is too cold and will probably hurt her feelings.

"Zara, I have decided that you will follow me when we leave the pack and we must be discreet when doing so," I said and she smiled happily.

" You don't have to think about him, he doesn't deserve you anymore. He already spoiled the chance when he impregnated her" Zara said and I nodded.

" Won't you pack your things?" I questioned childishly and she smiled.

"I will tell you when the time comes, I have to deal with my personal affairs," I said and she nodded in understanding before she shot me a smile reassuring me that everything will be alright.

I walked out of her room toward the garden in the pack and I sat down on the chair I saw there. I looked up admiring the sky and moonlight which shone brightly.

I thought of informing my dad before we leave but I felt bad knowing he won't be happy to find out I'm leaving since I'm his only relative. He will blame me for being reckless and disregarding the pack's interest because he is loyal to the pack.

Then I decided to leave secretly not telling anyone and with that, I walked toward Zara's room. There she was seated on the bed staring at space. She seems lost. I thought of what could make her restless.

I tapped her shoulders and she jolted out of her daze staring at me intensely. I furrowed my brows in confusion as I stared at her.

"You don't have to worry, I'm perfectly fine," she said but I wasn't satisfied, she might be worried about leaving the pack with me. I would let her be if she doesn't want to follow me.

"You can stay if you don't want to," I said and she laughed.

"It's alright, I'm just thinking about something," she said and I sighed heavily knowing she won't tell me a thing even if I begged her till tomorrow.

"It's time to leave this pack," I said and she nodded, taking her bags and a basket full of food.
