Wolf's Eye

"For now I'm going to take some distance from them and see what else is around here. Getting into a fight with them right now isn't worth it. What about you?"

"Not going to stay with Tearia?"

"..No, this was alread-"

"A mistake? You know she cares about you a lot."

Staring at Xilo she didn't really know to think of him. He seemed so aggressive at times then out of nowhere he swapped back to being passive like he didn't know what he really wanted. "What exactly happened between you two." Tearia had told her a bit of the story but she knew no matter what that she wasn't told everything and the more she saw Xilo's reactions along with the way he acted the more that thought was confirmed. "There's no way he's so full of himself to not like her for any other reason right?" Besides even now Tearia seemed so at peace as she snuggled into his arms, which meant it was something on Xilo's end that stopped them.

"She sure has a way of showing it."

"What does that mean?"

"Pft, Figure it out yourself or ask her, I don't have the care to do it."

Handing over Tearia he knew they were both safe now so it was his time to leave. He didn't really want to stay around any longer being pestered by someone he barely knew. He already dealt with that enough himself, another person doing it didn't help him much besides who knows when he would slip up again and do something he might regret. "Excuses." He knew he was being harsh, he could even hear it in the tone of his voice but this was for the better. "Helping her is one thing, Forgiving her is another." However Felli wouldn't take her from him.

"Haa....then let me ask you this. Who's Xelfia?"

Pausing he nearly dropped Tearia as he stood there however he didn't lose it this time.

"None of your business."

Spitting that out he was done with this conversation.

"Well that makes your answer obvious."

"..."

"Haaa..give me her, let me know when you get over yourself alright?"

Silently handing Tearia over he gave her one last look over before taking a step back.

"What's that supposed to mean."

"Whatever you want it to mean. Besides, we better get moving again. It looks like they've started to search for us now."

"Fine."

With some energy back she held Tearia in her arms as she rubbed her hair while watching Xilo walk. "Poor things." Following behind him she made sure they were safe as they walked through what felt like an endless hallway. "Don't worry to much, People can only be so stubborn." She had seen quite a bit in her life including betrayals where people hated each other's guts with an unending fury. "Most of those ended up bad sure but not all." She had seen plenty of them end up with one dying or never talking to each other again but there were a few who ended up forgiving each other or even wanting to forgive the other and never being able to. "Forgiving someone is hard but not impossible." Or maybe she was still too naïve and just wished it was that way.

A young man that looked to be in his twenties slowly entered a room with a large group behind him. Along with his pitch black hair and sharp eyes he had on a fur jacket with a wolf symbol and five teeth surrounding it. Just his presence alone scared most of the other people there but he ignored them as he walked forward without much fear. "around thirtish bodies and not even all of them are our men." Looking at his clan's and the others he walked towards one of the bodies and carefully examined it. With one deep cut that left a couple mistakes he examined the gash in the corpse trying to get some information out of. "They seemed to lack experience but they're skilled enough at least." Moving on he checked another corpse with similar results as he checked each one. Finally after a little bit one of his men came up behind him reporting information.

"Sir, no one seems to be here anymore."

"Alright, Send out of some search parties and see if you can find anyone within close proximity. I don't care if they didn't do it or not, bring them by force regardless. I want them all here."

"As you say."

Hearing the man's footsteps walk away he sat up as he looked around the room trying to find any clues. "Who has such a grudge or even the courage to attack our two clans." He wasn't exactly upset like some of his comrades, instead he was more curious about whoever did this. From his observation each cut seemed to be from the same person and they had broken bones all over. So whoever did this had the sheer power to overwhelm over thirty people and take them on all at once with ease. "Was there ever someone that strong here?" His Clan had sent spies here constantly to check the identities of each person but none of the information that came back so far had shown someone capable of such things. "Maybe it's someone from outside the country but if they were so strong why didn't they stay here? They must have heard us coming. These people weren't dead for long after all." Which meant it was someone that couldn't fight him or more people again nor did they have a backing to protect themselves.

"Interesting, Interesting."

Tapping his chin he looked at one of the pillars in the corner of the room as a strange glint floated past his eye while he walked towards it as the fluctuations grew bigger in his eyes. "So they hide here." Looking at the Astral Energy surrounding the pillar he knew other people would be hard pressed to find this. Thankfully he had his eyes or even he would have missed it.

Enjoy.
