What Is Real and What Is Fake

Opening up the painting Xilo jumped into the tunnel and slid it back in place with no one watching. "Whatever he does with that information is up to him." Xilo had given a heads up and with the time he had that was already pushing it. "Now to get back to Xelfia and the others." Running down the tunnel Xilo opened up the exit and went down the streets. He thought about throwing away the piece of hair he had since he didn't need it but was stopped when the voice in his head told him to keep it. He knew it was a tad weird yet he understood where she was coming from. There was a chance that he might need it again in the future so it was better to be safe.

Eventually the park area came into sight that they were staying at. Feeling the grass beneath his feet Xilo went to the door and swung it open. He instantly dashed for the dining room where he hoped everyone was. He was stopped by a body before he could even take a step inside. Bashing into them he fell down backwards onto his butt. "Huh?" Looking up he saw Lexia sitting on the ground as well facing him. "Lexia!?" He hadn't seen her there before but maybe he just wasn't paying proper attention. Dusting himself off he stood back up and gave her a hand up.

"You alright?"

Grabbing Xilo's hand Lexia checked herself.

"Yeah, I'm all right, just be more careful where you're running next time."

"My bad, I didn't expect anyone to be right at the front door and I wasn't paying complete attention to my surroundings."

Crossing her arms Lexia was glad that Xilo was okay.

"Everyone was wondering where you were and so I thought I'd go looking for. I'm glad to see you safe."

Xilo caught his breath as he looked at Lexia and replayed Landal's words in his head. Maybe if it was before then he might have been happy that Lexia was worried about him. Now though it was hard to say if he could even trust her. There were a lot of things he didn't know. "I guess I can ask her now." With none of the other girls in sight Xilo's heart skipped a beat but he soon felt their presence and was able to calm down. Since they weren't with Lexia it would be the best time for them to talk to each other. "Should I bring her to my room...nah." If he wanted to be alone with her maybe some place in her house would be best for them to talk instead.

"Well I was also looking for you, I was hoping we could one on one if that is okay with you?"

"Sure that's fine. I also wanted to talk with you about something as well so it's perfect."

Lexia didn't mind talking with Xilo at all.

"Alright then follow me, I don't really want the others to overhear any of this until I have everything sorted out first."

Heading outside Xilo made sure none of the girls noticed him as he spotted the lake nearby. "Not her house but it'll do." Shrugging his shoulders Xilo kept his guard up as they walked beside each other. Once they were by the lake Xilo sat down and patted the spot next to him. Now they were in a similar position as to when he found Lexia with Felli out here. Looking at Xilo, Lexia felt something was a bit off as she took a seat herself yet never said anything. Since he wanted to talk there was probably something on his mind and she didn't want to interrupt him. Even though she was curious about why he had let her scan his body multiple times without saying anything.

"So, I'm guessing since you went to look for me that you knew where I was right."

"Vandor told Xelfia when he asked her where you went. She didn't have to try very hard to get any information out of him."

Wincing Xilo felt a bit sorry for Vandor, he knew how much fear Xelfia had instilled into the guy.

"No surprise there, Xelfia can be really scary when she wants to. The chances of Vandor hiding anything are quite low considering that."

"Yet you still let him know where you are going, knowing that?"

"Of course, he's someone under me and someone I trust regardless. So if you know where I went then you should also know what I was up to."

"Yeah, you wanted to talk with Landal and apparently figure some more stuff out about us. Though I doubt you even got close to him nor would he tell you anything. That man looks down on the weak and is too busy with all this other nonsense to care about someone like you that he's never met. So what did you figure out then, since that's probably why you want to talk to me. If you were captured after all you wouldn't be here, instead you'd be rotting in a jail cell or a corpse in the ground."

"That's the thing....I did manage to talk with Landal."

Xilo's voice turned steady as he stared at Lexia directly in the eyes looking for any hint of betrayal.

"I'm not going to tell you how but he told me something that I didn't quite understand. He told me that the two of you had children. Is that true or?"

That was the first thing Xilo wanted to talk about and figure out, Lexia's answer would open up a lot more questions if he knew it. Lexia on the other hand had her mind blown hearing what Xilo had just said. "Us? Children?" Never in her life had she had any kids and that wasn't something she would just casually forget about. "Landal said we had kids?" She was trying to wrap her head around how Landal could be so crazy to think that was the case. She almost thought Xilo was joking for a second and that he was just trying to hit on her in a really weird way, however when she looked back at him he seemed to be serious. "What the hell?" Confused, Lexia pushed out a definitive answer for Xilo.

"No, never in my life have I had any kids or any kind of memory of them."

Enjoy.
