The One To Devour
He didn't know for sure but he couldn't be bothered to care at the moment, his instincts were screaming at him every step to keep moving. Watching it chomp down on something again from afar a thought flew through his fuzzy mind as he walked. "Isn't that.....Looking for?" He tried to remember why that thing seemed to nudge at his mind but he was too far gone. "One of me?" Watching it eat Astral Beasts one after another that small thought floated to the surface. "Maybe...but it dies." Even if he thought it was somehow similar to him he didn't mind killing it.
Finally arriving close to the light that lit up the darkness around the area he stared at its body in it's entirety as it finally seemed to notice him. Watching it's hundreds of eyes turn towards him all at once it stopped calling more Astral Beasts as it stared at Xilo for a couple seconds trying to register this strange being that had entered its territory with a little warriness. Most of its food that arrived would get in line after following it's orders but this one seemed different besides looking weird, It didn't seem to completely follow the orders it was sending yet it still walked towards it.
Choosing not to think too hard about this anomaly it opened its mouth and waited for Xilo to willingly walk into its open mouth. However even after a couple of minutes of waiting it didn't feel that familiar feeling of something along the bottom of its mouth causing it to slightly frown before it felt a stab of pain run through the side of its body making it cry out in pain once again for the fifth time of the night. It didn't quite understand such a feeling but it knew that it didn't make it feel good. Looking down at Xilo it watched one his blade cut into its skin a little bit as anger arose from it.
Meanwhile Xilo in his state of mind was shocked by how tough it's body was as he watched his blade barely leave any damage while it could cut through most creatures at his level and stone like it was paper. "Strong." Was the only thing he thought as he pulled his hand back removing one of his blades as he tried again. Slashing repeatedly while he heard it's roar of pain but paid it no mind as he mindlessly swung his whole body extending his blades as much as he could yet once he felt them begin to bend and creak he was forced to pull them back. "Interesting." He didn't understand why it seemed so durable but it intrigued him nonetheless.
Watching it move it's huge blob like body he cut off a random arm he found sticking out and watched as blood finally spilled from it like a geyser. Normally he would've recoiled in disgust seeing such a sight but right now it only brought him joy as damage was finally was dealt however before such joy could set in he felt the air around him change as he felt his gut get smacked hard as while he was sent flying backwards a couple meters. "Great, It can use it's whole body." Watching a large branch like arm retract back into it's mish mashed body of parts he kept that in mind as he brushed off the pain. Whether he'd listen to that note though was a whole different matter.
"Nothing fun....in that." Extending a blade from his hand he ran forward with what little energy he had as he watched it slowly move backwards trying to avoid him before realizing that it was useless with it's massive body and repeated the same thing as before with even more attacks this time. It didn't understand fighting or the likes all it knew what to do was consume everything and anything around it only gaining small bits of knowledge from the things it had consumed but it couldn't make sense of those things just yet. Right now it was only flailing around trying to understand itself and the things around it but it knew it's life was in danger and that strange creature in front of it was the cause. With each and every single one of it's eyes it locked onto whatever it was and attacked trying to get it to back off or make it finally stop then it could devour it whole.
Seeing a bunch of arms come straight at him, he was prepared this time as he slashed each one as they approached with ease as he made his way to its body. "Easier then the body." Watching it's arms fall to ground he arrived in front of the beast again and began to slash once more before more attacks came his way. "Can It use elements?" Barely wondering that he stepped to the side as an arm flew straight past his head with a force strong enough to crush his skull in seconds before he slashed at it with one of his wings while dodging another that aimed at it's legs while it slowly tried to run away from him with each attempt Xilo made at attacking it.
"Don't Run!"
Barking that out, annoyance coursed through him as another roar entered his ears causing him to stop for a split second as one more arm slammed into him punching him straight in his arm impaling itself but not before it caused a couple creaking sounds in his joints as he swore under his breath. "Annoying." This whole Beast and situation was annoying and Xilo was getting sick and tired of it. "I just want to sleep." Ignoring the tiredness overcoming him, he grabbed it's arm that was stuck on his blade and ripped it off before throwing a chunk of it into his mouth and quickly devouring it. Watching it's body get eaten it's sense of fear spiked through the roof as hatred surfaced in it's eyes. It knew for a fact it was the king of this place and was the one to devour things, Not the other way around. Seeing something try and eat it, pissed it off.
Using its powers it activated it's blue light and ordered a couple of Astral Beasts that were patiently waiting in line before to help it out as it tried to struggle free of Xilo's grip before losing another arm.
*CLAAAAAOOOT*
Yet it was too late as it's massive arm made of one of the Beasts it had eaten before was entirely ripped off. Watching it's blood begin to splatter as the arm red arm shaped like a wing and a bear's elongated paw fall to the ground it cried out in pain again while one of the Astral Beasts it called for help finally arrived while ramming itself into Xilo. Watching it nail right into Xilo excitement and happiness coursed through it while Xilo was dragged a couple feet away once again as a giant horse with two extra sets of legs barreled straight into him. "A horse?" Thinking that he looked up to its body to see a big set of jaws getting ready to chomp straight at him before he stabbed forward straight through its mouth stopping it dead in its tracks. With it no longer moving he shrugged off its body and tossed it's corpse aside while he ignored his pain racked body. Grabbing another piece of meat from it he swallowed it whole while he felt Astral Energy running rampant in his body uncontrollably.
"Fine, we'll do it this way."
