The Garden

Sitting down on a bench nearby Xilo took in all the fresh air as he relaxed himself. His body loosened up as some of the tension faded, that urge for violence was disappearing. "What's up with me?" Scolding himself, he shut his eyes as he listened to the wind float by. The flowers and bushes slightly rustled around as two figures off in the distance tended to the garden. Even with their very light training these two girl's loved taking care of all the plants. In the past they had lived on the streets together defending themselves against a few scuffles until Katrin found them. Thankfully they were too young at the time to ever get too deep into any sorts of crime. Pulling out a few weeds that had started to grow Gale noticed another presence enter.

"Nimi, looks like someone came to the Garden."

These two girls were only friends but they looked very alike. Both had golden blonde hair that went down to their shoulders. Pale skin that shined in the sun, with a similar set of clothing as each other. Both wore simple jeans and Tshirts. Nimi's was pink and Gale's was red. Ignoring the dirt covering their clothing and rough palms, they were both cute younger women, Gale being the oldest at 19 and Nimi just barely behind her by a few months. The two things that would stop you from thinking they were twins were their eye colour and nose. Nimi's eyes were pink with a smaller more curved nose and Gale had red eyes with a sharper more defined nose. Even their smile's were pretty similar, giving off an aura of calmness that put you at ease.

"Do you know who it is?"

Nimi knew very few people who visited the Garden.

"Looks like it's our new leader Xilo."

"Ohhh...he's been here quite often. I wonder why he comes here so much?"

"He probably just likes the atmosphere, he even lets us take care of it exclusively."

"Maybe, what's he doing right now?"

Looking over her shoulder Gale saw Xilo resting.

"Probably just taking a break, we shouldn't disturb him."

It was already too late, the moment Gale turned around she watched Nimi walk towards Xilo. Panicking, Gale got up and grabbed Nimi's hand before she got any closer. They hadn't talked too much with Xilo yet, so she had no idea if they would upset him if he got disturbed. "Katrin never liked being disturbed." Nimi didn't care at all for Gale's plea's as she slipped from her grip. "Nimi!" Following behind her Gale kept trying to get her to stop. It was too late, Nimi had already arrived by his side. Staring at him from head to toe, Nimi sat down on the bench beside him. "Is he sleeping?" Waving her hand in front of his face she tried to see if he was awake. Gale could only watch as her anxiety spiked.

Studying every inch of Xilo's body Nimi slowly moved her hand forward as she grabbed his chest. "Whoa!" Instantly she felt her hand losing all feeling. Struggling Nimi felt it loosen up a second later as she saw Xilo awake. Rubbing her hand she looked up at their leader with a forced smile. "That hurt..." Quickly moving past that Nimi kept staring at Xilo like he was some kind of exhibit. Watching their exchange, Gale felt her heart tighten up in panic as Xilo woke up. Even with all that happened if Xilo tried anything Gale would fight for Nimi's sake without question. They had spent their whole life together and that would never change.

"I didn't mean to wake you up, sorry."

"Eh, grabbing and studying someone so intently isn't trying to wake them up?"

Hanging her head in shame, Nimi went silent.

"D-don't look so sad, I was just messing around. I'm sorry if I hurt you when I grabbed your hand. Here, give me your hand, I'll make it feel better. You can also sit down as well Gale, no need to stand around hovering over me. I promise I won't bite."

Taking Nimi's hand in his, he injected a bit of darkness to help speed up her natural healing, for something this small it would work.

"Umm...alright."

Switching between the girl's Xilo was surprised they talked with him, usually they kept to themselves.

"Better?"

"Yes, thank..you. So Leader, what are you doing here right now, don't you have other things to do?"

"You can just call me Xilo and I did have other things to do, I'm just..."

Catching on to Xilo's words Nimi let loose an innocent mischievous smile.

"Skipping out on your duties to relax? That's no good Xilo!"

"Haha, you caught me then. Sometimes you just need a break from things, I'm sure you two aren't always taking care of the garden right? It's kind of like that. Just keep this a secret between the three of us all right?"

"Sure, sure!"

Talking with Nimi like this, Xilo felt himself calming down.

"You seem kind of stressed Xilo, is something up?"

Pitching in from the side Gale could feel Xilo's energy fluctuating differently from normal, it was a lot more on edge. Swapping back and forth between Gale and Nimi, Xilo was surprised they could tell. "Is that why they tried to talk to me?" A warmth trickled its way into his heart as he smiled. "Nice girls." Stretching out his hands he patted both on his head as he spoke up on hit problems a little. He couldn't go into exact details however just having someone to talk to about it and listen was pleasant. Enjoying the feeling of her hair being rustled Nimi listened closely to Xilo while Gale kept trying to escape even though she didn't mind.

"There are some things on my mind, just stuck in a rough place."

"Tell us, tell us!"

Feeling Nimi's excitement Xilo started to explain the best he could about his problem

Enjoy.
