The Twins

Without going into too much detail with the girls, Xilo talked about what was on his mind. Listening quietly, the girls waited until Xilo was done speaking. Once he had stopped, Gale didn't say a word as Nimi sat up from their bench. Standing around the garden she twirled her small body in a circle and arrived in front of some plants. Raising an eye at Nimi's actions, Xilo was curious what she was up to and so was Gale. "She's got the energy of a puppy." That was something Xilo had caught on about Nimi after talking with her. Gale on the other hand was more similar to the protective older sibling, always looking out for Nimi.

"How much do you know about gardening Xilo, do you know what weeds are?"

In a soft voice Nimi gently ripped a plant out of her garden.

"I don't really know much about gardening besides a very few things. I think weeds are the plants you are supposed to get rid of right? So what about them?"

"That is the basic premise, yes. Weeds are seen as something you don't want in large amounts. Having a very small controlled amount though can actually be a good thing that ends up helping the plants around them grow more. Emotions to me are kind of like weeds, bad emotions in a large amount can be detrimental, a few of them here and there isn't such a bad thing though. No one can escape these kinds of emotions, it's just impossible so instead of just trying to pick them all out, shave them down and use them to help improve yourself."

Twirling the weed in her hand Nimi's voice turned more childish again as she realised what she was saying.

"Ehehe, or at least that's just my stupid childish thoughts on the matter."

Listening to Nimi's words and seeing her body language as she spoke, Xilo was surprised for a moment. "This was the girl just a few seconds ago?" Letting that thought sink in Xilo took her words to heart as well. Processing them in his own way he took a deep breath as Nimi walked back empty handed. Standing up from his spot, he pat Nimi on the head for a few moments. "She's quite smart." Hiding a smirk, Xilo thanked the two girls while realizing how much time he had wasted. "I better get back." Rushing off before they could talk anymore, Gale watched Xilo leave.

"You know Nimi, you really are a smart girl."

"Eh, I don't think so. I didn't say anything special, just some random knowledge I happened to know."

Hugging Nimi tight, Gale whispered in her ear.

"Sometimes that's more than enough, just talking."

Staying like that for a few moments they eventually went back to tending to the Garden. Xilo ran through the halls as he went back to their prisoners. Opening up the door he saw blood spill onto the ground as Katrin stood in front of Hunter. Turning around upon hearing the door open Katrin gave up trying to get anything from Hunter. She had wanted to see how true his words were and she had gotten her answer. "A tough one to crack." Seeing Xilo back Katrin smiled as she offered him one of the tools she was holding. A part of her was curious if he would pick it up.

"Want to give it a shot yourself?"

Looking at Hunter's messed up body and Hazel who was currently still passed out Xilo nodded his head.

"I'll pass. Did you even get anything out of him?"

"Nope, I doubt he will ever talk."

"Alright, then for now let's just leave them here alone. Vandor you'll be the one to watch over them and make sure nothing happens while we aren't looking. If you want you can switch around with Yulrin as well. For now I want to go check on the wounded and make sure everyone else is okay. Katrin I also want to talk with you a bit since you said you wanted to send us somewhere."

"Sure thing, let me put this stuff away first."

Walking over to a nearby rack Katrin cleaned the blood off her tools as she put them away. Once that was done, their group left, leaving Vandor by himself to watch them. Heading to the medical area where Yana was with everyone else Xilo saw Xelfia and six or so others that were heavily injured being treated. Since Tearia was with him as well now he didn't need to ask as Tearia flew forward and began helping them out. "Good girl." Waking up next to Xelfia he checked on her breathing as he asked about everyone else's conditions.

"A couple of them are still badly poisoned and the other's have a few broken bones here and there. In a couple weeks they should be healed. Nothing too bad to worry about this time thankfully and Tearia's medicine can help clear up the poison."

"That's good."

Grabbing Xelfia's palm he rubbed it a few times as he talked with Katrin about a few things. Some of the details about where they wanted them to go and what they would be doing. Katrin talked about it without a care as she watched Tearia and Yana work. Once she had talked about everything Xilo had felt Xelfia move around a bit in his hands.

"Xelfia?"

Waiting for some kind of response from her Xilo didn't want to shake her. Within a few minutes he heard a soft groan as her eyes fluttered open. Seeing Xelfia awake so soon Xilo felt another of his worries disappear. She had been injured pretty badly but it looks like it wasn't as bad as he thought. "Damn Hunter." Still a little pissed about that Xilo heard a quiet voice leave Xelfia's mouth.

"Hmm? What was that Xelifa?"

Leaning down closer to get hear better Xilo asked what she said again as he felt something touching his ear the next moment.

"Huh?

Enjoy.
